Im assuming you are talking theoretically (as in you havent played her), because the Hayate plays more closer to a Haragumo then a Shima with some faster guns in practice. Having a reload closer to Haru with the alpha of Shima is absolutely no joke. I really like her, as someone who unlocked the secret powers of the Asasshio, which is like the Hatate, getting a bad rap mainly because of its paper stats. So anyone who discovered the practical use of the IJN torp boat gun alpha will enjoy her most likely. Generic dd players or min maxers wont. Ps: 2 mil is a hefty price though. I would get her only if you have close to 3,5 or 4 mil fxp to keep a proper reserve in case new fxp ship is released.

While digging up vids for another thread I came about this match from nov. 2020 which is a nice example of BB's playing engaged with the caps, pushing and helping their teammates fighting over them, on both sides. I don't tink it's feasible to play like this in BB's currently due to the horrid changes made by WG. @optimal_909 same, mine is declining over time as well.

This as far as LU's are concerning. The ships you are thinking about (Grozovoi? Montana? Harugumo...?, Khaba) nope, I wouldn't bother. The only one that's really great is the DM LU, and from what I hear the Yammi LU. The Gearing LU is good but I'm not sure it's worth the RP. The Hayate is fun, for me personally. I know the community is not favorable mainly because of her paper stats. But my WR is pretty high and she is versatile. I have a few matches on youtube if you want to check her out.

I have both the Hayate and Ohio and like them very much. My preference goes out to Hayate because I don't play BB's much. The 21 pnt captains are only important if you play CB's, and feel like being blackmailed by WG. F-em. 19 pnts is enough for most builds, last 2 are usually just luxury points. I have a lot of LU but don't think most are worth anything. I feel the days of FXP ships is over, but that's just a gut feeling. I'm thinking about keeping a 2M reserve just to be sure and I hear thesame amoung some of my clan members. I missed out on the Smaland when WG announced removing the Smalland 1 week after buying the Hayate, so my gut feeling is usually pretty poor as far as WG sghenannigans go. ^^

Yup. I wouldn't have bought the Siegfried if it wasn't for it's MEMEtastic secondairies. That's why I picked Siegfried over it's tier 9 sister. But I'm so used to WG screwing my favorite premium and special ships playstyle by now, it's unfunny.

It is probably an issue of trust as well. WG hasn't shown much competence in designing, testing and installing new features that enhance the actual gameplay of this shooter last 2 years.

Why do you think that is a good thing if I may ask. I know why it is beneficial for WG and their manipulation techniques, but why are you advocating witholding ships from players? What is the added value for us players about denying ships to players that find ranked or clanbattles uninteresting or boring?

I'm pretty sure examples like this can be drawn from silver and gold league as well, reading some of the testaments on this forum and having played silver myself previously. By the way, can you explain what my chat behavior has to do with discussing general player quality? I actually advised our Hipper at the start to turn back or he would die within 2 minutes, he didn't and died within 2 minutes. Do you really need to question my character in a discussion about generic player quality? The point of this video: The glue was strong on both teams. Did you miss the enemy Gearing using his smoke generator but sailing in front of it firing his guns until he was dead? Did you not see the 4 minute open water gunfight with an enemy Baltimore that radared me twice and was accompanied by the Albemare yet for some inexplicable reason died by my hand while I survived? Did you miss the enemy team having 2 caps, a point lead and a ship lead which they threw away by pushing and trying to win more when all they had to do is sit tight? Did you miss my flank had 4 out of 5 ships total that didn't perform very well to put it mildly? These things happen not because I am particularly good. It happens because I realised the two cruisers were not hitting me reliably and I could open water 'tank' them in my UK DD. Go figure. As a final note, I wanted to share with you a screenshot of one of the enemy Tier 9 BB players in this match. Again, fully anecdotal, as I'm sure you are aware of by now. This one supports your view, because this player has been with us since 2016.

Keep your money close to your body and buy something else, plymouth seems like a fun ship already. This game is not worth paying for.
