Guess that's the actual problem then, that you people didn't think this result was bloody obvious and what still will be bloody obvious when the initial hype calms down. I'm sure your game designers lub teh vodka. The 'you' isn't personal here @YabbaCoe

You need community screenshots to 'gather intel' to create reports to see what would be bloody obvious in front of your red nosed puffy cheeked vodka faces?

Any reason that most expensive coal ship is tier 9 Neustrashimy?

I just read in another thread feelings arent facts so why would WG bother with feelings? -
Bizar. First, DD's aren't buffed, rocket planes are nerfed, and well deserved so, they should have never made it into the game at all. This topic is about cruiser play, and you manage to whine about DD's ability to avoid rockets. Complain about how it would be possible for DD's to attack a carrier hull with carriers not being able to do anything against the attack (lol karma) except ofcoarse spot it, rocket it, bomb it and torp it in an endless stream of spamming planes because most DD's have crap AA and can't kill off planes by itself . If a carrier can't kill it with all those tools, they deserve to die for positioning poorly. Beside the notion that rockets are being abused to noobkill low HP battleships and cruisers probably even more then DD's, how about carriers learn to bomb properly. Use torpedo attacks properly. Make sure they have enough map awareness in their god view spotting class so they don't get caught pants down by a DD. Make sure they are close enough to their team so in case a DD gets through, a carrier spotting the DD will be enough for it's team to get rid of it. How about carriers get off their lazy thought train that carriers should be able to handle and strike everything in the game without much thought, teamwork, tactical manouvering or effort and get to actually l2p for a change? If one class is entitled and pampered it has been carriers back and front, with their absurd positioning fallacy, inability to detonate, laughable fire and flooding mechanics, the 1 strike must get through, limitless spotting, neglecting soft and hard cover, plane regeneration, airspeed, armored decks, survivability rates etc etc etc. Cruisers are probably the hardest class to play currently, and one of the culprits is unavoidable stupid rocket spam. The only rockets done right are AP rockets - requires effort to sucessfully mitigate, requires skill to land properly.

The meta is 5 BBs per side every match. An increase in DDs and a decrease in CAs is simply a knee jerk reaction to that. BBs overpopulation and carriers spotting cause a lack of diversity.

How is your FreeXP gathering? Do you feel that it is easier / same / harder to acquire the FreeXP in current WoWs economy compared to before?

Inflation made it harder to reach end game goals. -
Cool. And since post rework all AA is weak except for 2 or 3 ships, we can assume almost no one has fun now?

(Poll) How much will you bid for 100k coal?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to thiextar's topic in General Discussion
True, but the gambling part is not about that. The auction is where the gambling minds in this community and it's whales are put to work to up the ante on WG's hyperinflation. WG has been pushing inflation of currencies for over 2 years now by releasing alternate ways to accumilate new ships and shiplines every update without much use for credits (or FXP for that matter). The auction has set a new bar: 80.000.000--100.000.000 credits for what is basically a tier VII Duke of Yorck. ^^ By the way, we keep assuming it's just rich whales who fork over insane amounts of currencies, gold or actual money. That's most likely not true. -
Just set your blablardar on stun ^^
-
Indeed you did. And as context matters, your example deemed irrelevant. Can we carry on now?
-
Yep. Spot on as well. So the auction is not a straight trade, it's a gamblers version of an auction. What it is 'worth it' to you has that auction as context, not a shop with fixed pricing. And that's fine. But it's still a predatory manipulative technique used in a 7+ rated game, just as lootboxes are. WG has just learned this community will gobble up 100.000 coal for 1.000.000 M credits if offered ^^
-
Spot on. Which is why your previous post was completely irrelevant to the discussion. +1 for self destruction.
-
Which companies including finance en legal departments have been bidding on 100.000 coals in WOWS exactly? By the way, companies overbid and underbid on contracts all the time, bringing serious peril to either themselves of the projects they are supposed to carry. But that's quite irrelevant to consumers bidding in a 7+ rated game anyway isn't it.
-
That's funny. We have multiple instances of DD's BB's and CA's in every match, yet we still have to uncover complaints threads as massive as the ones about carriers for any of these other classes. Your thinking never leads to anything substantial sadly.
-
Rofl, that's a massive sugarcoating. People are encouraged to place a bid against an unknown threshold in order to 'encourage' them to overbid en masse. Textbook FOM and other vial manipulation techniques at work in a game rated 7+. And it works. Because this community loves taking it up in the behive.

the lowest price of coal in this auction is between 80-80.2 million

Lol, no the ones that published a poor translation on their own website. Rofl. -
(Poll) How much will you bid for 100k coal?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to thiextar's topic in General Discussion
Nah, that's the justification the brains tells itself to justify the gamble. Overpaying is paying more then the lowest price available. In this case it's in hindsight, which is why these auctions are the gamblers version of an auction, which is why it perfectly fits WG titles, as they have become themed slot machines basically. -

I think 100M will end up being a decend bid for those that can afford it actually :-) -
(Poll) How much will you bid for 100k coal?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to thiextar's topic in General Discussion
Everyone but the lowest bidder will overpay technically. The 'worth it' in auctions like these is specifically tied and driven by unkown competition. I don't care if they do. You sound a bit butth hurt about butt hurt people though. If the lowest bid granted is 50M you overpaid by 50M. You might not care is what you are saying, but you overpaid by 50M nevertheless. -
(Poll) How much will you bid for 100k coal?
Mad_Dog_Dante replied to thiextar's topic in General Discussion
Most participating will be gambling on how much it will take to get their price, which is gambing on the outcome. The risk is to overpay, a risk lowered by how much of a whale one is (either monetary or by playtime). Overpaying is almost guarantueed to happen looking at the behavior of the community as a whole and whales in particular. You bet your arse it's gambling addict version of an auction. Pun intended.
