Very fun ship to play! Congrats. My coupon goes to one of the steel ships (I have none now because I have Flint and Black now coal lulz). I'm torn between Bourgogne, Austin, Plymouth or FDR. That last one just be be a troll every now and then since it's the ultimate troll carrier, except boring ASFK. And Fk Stalingrad. I'll play mostly RNDM and RNKD - no competetive. What to do what to do... -

Yeah, wasn't much of a game. Sorry I couldnt talk. I am currently chatbanned because I laughed so hard in port chat at a guy who raged 5 minutes in to report me because I was a 'camping b*tch' in my DD yet it turned out I carried the match, killed 3 ships and capped. I couldn't help myself. I think I had 2400 base XP. I went to portchat and laughed. Very loud. He was very mad. But that's why. I haven't been chatbanned in ages. This was totally worth it tho :D -
My impression is that this mode is boring, the ships are boring and the players are bad ^^

Unusable? You must be kidding. You cant even cheapo kill off low hp ca and bb targets at 2 km range anymore with them? Cant set fires with them? Cant spot stuff? Can't hit broadside light cruiser with them? Or are you just miffed you need some map awareness, skills and teamwork to kill dds now?

I am absolutely not missing the point good sir. One thing that has been long overdue is that carriers sit in the most awekward places during battles, absolutely ridiculous loners, the worst of all classes. If you dont want to be ambushed by DDs, make sure you are close enough to teammates with your carrier hull to get help fending off those pesky buggers. Its absurd that carriers have been forcing everyone into blobs, while they themselves could simply park behind some godforsaken island far away from everyone else and live to see the end if the match even when losing. Having a hard time killing DDs doest mean carriers are hopeless against them. Map awareness, superior scouting and smart positioning might actually give carriers a bit more depth and character. Enjoy developing your new found gameplay styles while it lasts, because honestly I think WG will most likely retune rockets soon enough. -

If your fun in carriers relies on rockets only you now have the opportunity to git gud with actual fun weapon systems like torpedoes and bombers. Enjoy your new challange until WG makes rockets great again -

If you know it's a strawman, don't use that strawman. You're just repeating insanity. You're not getting the message, you must be new here. Go look up the 800-900 pages of this type of BS we gathered up last 2 years. It's split in a few topics: 500+ pages, some scattered stuff, and the current one, over 350 pages or something? God, I know you try, but be sensible for a change man. WG doesn't think this is a team game becasue they actively removed almost all team oriented gameplay from the game. Even carriers can't protect surface ships from air attacks anymore. It's not players that don't want to play as a team, it is the Lesta and WG design trolls that actively remove team tools (pre redesign AA umbrella Atlanta is crying in a little dark corner). How bizarre is it that in a pvp game I should be happy that because I am in an AA heavy specced ship, my AA won't be firing because carriers are actively avoiding me and need more travel time thus less dps killing non AA heavy ships. Whooptiedoo. One thing that killed AA teamplay was making all AA ranges shorter. Lesta has been brining out new ships with larger ranges back into the game, becasue limiting AA ranges was stupid. Don't you realise that pre 0.8.0 I was be able to actively counter airstrikes on my teammates in AA specced ships? Something I loved to do. Stop wondering and understand that the people at Lesta and WG you are defending so bravely are the ones that actively break what you try to uphold.
