I'm kinda puzzled by the guys who says those things. Why they do it? What horrible things would happens to them if that game economy would be a little friendlier?

What do players think of the map called "Strait"?
Vanhal replied to Admiral_H_Nelson's topic in Archive
It's ok if you are in fast ship. In slow though, you can get spawned as one of 3 ships against enemy 7. Also you can get spawned in BB against 4 DD or in cruiser against 4 BB and all other concievable manner of bad spawn can also happen here. Still way better than the Fault Line. -
1. Yes 2. Yes, even the loss of all planes is less costly than having to pay for sunk ship. But if you die, you get [edited] on bill. 3. Plus "tier 10 is unplayable" plus "8+ is full of snipers and cowards" and so on.

High tier IJN destroyer gameplay, pure RNG
Vanhal replied to fallenmemories's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, lets think. No. The rewards for damage are ok, especially the rewarding for % of damage instead for flat numbers. About winning... the difference should be less than it is, not more, at least for the upper 1/2 or 1/3 of the losing team. Like, playing good and doing your best but still losing because MM decided to throw some trolldivision or 5 yolo dd's in your team should not be punished. That comes from my conviction that in this game, victory by itself is not worth much, it is the effort of team that brings victory, and this effort needs to be rewarded, not bare fact of win. What should be rewarded more: capping, defending cap, spotting (depending on spotted class - less for BB's, more for DD's, and for spotting class - nothing for planes, less for DD's, more for BB's and CV's and so on), shooting down planes (again, depending on class, more for CA, plus bonus for shooting planes if there are nearby BB and CV - defending them). Plus surely some other things that didn't came on my mind now. -
The customer is not always right, but sometimes he also understands when it is pure extortion.

I though so at first. But then the triple grind apologist convinced me it is suppose to be hard work. -
Dude, check the release history. We were right every single time we predicted overprice bundle. And that was exactly every single time new premium ship appeared. This is favourable for him. Nobody wants to lose his work and everyone undestands that - as corporate puppet he is not responsible personally for that crap and all this [edited]he is spewing on the forum is not of his own devise. Like the last thing about bundles: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/32886-what-would-you-like-in-the-wg-store/page__st__20__pid__599119#entry599119 If he said that because he want, not because this is the official policy i would called him worse than puppet. That was also hugely overpriced because it should be included in base game, which was kinda barebones. And in the game store for dubloons. THERE WASN'T ANY NEW SHIP FOR DUBLOONS SINCE THE CLOSED BETA [edited]

High tier IJN destroyer gameplay, pure RNG
Vanhal replied to fallenmemories's topic in General Discussion
You are absolutely right. DD don't need buff (except guns for IJN), they need to be rewarded for other things beside DMG. But that's problem recurring since alpha. Reward-for-damage only is a issue that have been discussed countless times and it would help to resolve some problems without changing much of the game balance, but WG apparently don't want that. -

Yes, but it still isn't RNG. The game is not at fault here. And even the luck factor have way less impact than you think. More importantly, what you would want to do about this? - If you buff torps RoF it would be the lesser of all evils, but it would be direct huge nerf to BB and lesser to CA, unless the BB (and some of the CA, like Myoko or Yorck) would get their turret traverse buffed, and the WG won't do that becaue they would not try to "balance" some ships with it (which is totally stupid, like the top three dumbest restriction in game, they overdid it every time). - If you buff the range of the torps... We had it in alpha - like 13 km for tier 5 US DD, and everything above had even more. It resulted in hordes of destroyers flooding the map with torps. Nobody push. Boring as hell campfests. Ships dying at random from the fire and forget salvoes. - If you buff the torp speed or lessen the detection range of torps or DD's. Some of this also was in alpha already. Two words - death rays. Often it felt like that. It would require one of the two trades (or both) - massive reduction of damage or implementing of RNG mechanics like dud torps (not unlikely to current gun mechanics). Btw. that's the same reason BB players constantly complain about RNG and WG says it's ok. Personally i would drastically reduce the turret traverse of japanese destroyers. It would not make them OP, but it would give them at least some alternative to torps, and as such lessen the "one trick" syndrome they are suffering right now. but, then again, i would reduce the turret traverse of all ships, because somehow this one thing was totally omitted in overall "speed up" tendence in this game (like 150 kn speed or stupid ship scale or false range). -
Oh, hey, another premium ship. - Overpriced: check - Only in bundle: check - More useless dubloons: check - Artificial scarcity: check Overall:

High tier IJN destroyer gameplay, pure RNG
Vanhal replied to fallenmemories's topic in General Discussion
Regardless if you are right, that's not RNG. No dice are rolled, pure human factor is involved. -
"Free to play" depends how you look at it....
Vanhal replied to kermz82's topic in General Discussion
Perhaps because the big friggin "free to play" signs everywhere? Not "Free to play until tier 8". Somehow i don't see them wanting every game for free. But to want free game for free? Preposterous. -
It's horrible when you see it in the context of IV tier. It may seems OP on III because of the small maps and the fact that Tenryu isn't noob friendly. Oh, and Kolberg is horribly UP if you are comparing that.
-
It's another example where balancing ships by turret traverse turns out stupid i guess. WG stahp, let the people shoot.
-
Storozhevoi was kinda fun as soon as i forgot that i have torps. Most people i see tend to try to use them and they end as free frag. My low tier favourites: I - Orlan - quite fun to sail compared to other tier I ships II - Dresden III - Nothing really. St Louis would be obvious answer, but often i got on the bigger maps with tier IV ships, and there combination of pathetic speed and range sapped all fun for me. IV - Phoenix, Kuma V - Omaha, Kongo, Konigsberg
-
Like what? They can't even do proper event and you want them to fix the players?
-
I encounter them up to tier 6, although kinda rarily, even with the novelty people just don't play them. Why? Because they are free frags. Everything i play, i obliterated those craps with no difficulty whatsoever. Even in Karlsruhe. It's too consistent to even say that it's bad players fault. Funny, in every single history material i read in 2 languages (and a few more just glanced) those names were written exactly like in game. Must be some conspiracy. (well, there were sometimes alternative versions, but not in the main text). Although it would be a little pity, as i also want RN, i would lmao hard. Those guys are even worse than wehraboos at this point. Need to devise some name for them too :p It's apparently truth? You have idea how hard is to get something from state archives sometimes? The inertia is incerdible and the British particularly are notorious for hogging military data, even the old and useless ones.

Free 1day premium + port slot for EVERYONE
Vanhal replied to ShockPirat's topic in General Discussion
Except it don't require you to do anything else? Not even measly toolbar install. -
Why are British always last in these types of games?
Vanhal replied to Adam_Chattaway's topic in Archive
You guys have some obnoxiousness competition with wehraboos? Beside, if you all whine so much now, it's hard to even imagine the QQ spam we will have when RN finally shows and it will not be as great as you imagned. Because it won't be. -
Still think we will have those here? Like Mikasa with 2000 gold base cost and 20 euro bundle... great example of differences - SECOND tier 1/3 more expensive than FIFTH tier in WoT (not even counting the excess garbage, only base cost). Not a single discount since open beta began. Not a single premium ship that went to ingame store. Well, hope dies last, although recent bundles in WoT seems to indicate that, if anything, it's not WoWs that is going to get more player-friendly, it's WoT that is changing into hardcore milking mode.
-
Someone really requested to have those bundles? Someone really requested to have ONLY those bundles instead of having a choice? Even in WoT? I dare anyone to find just a one such serious request. Otherwise, it's just flat lie.
-
Problem with Karlsruhe is that it is not testing any skills other than patience. You can do everything in your power but that guns just aren't doing any damage and at that range you are on the shooting range of everyone. My average stats on Kuma nad Phoenix are 2 times better than the Karlsruhe. It's just bad, bad ship, not the one that can "shine in good hands". Well, it's not carrier, so i think so too. I doubt Konigsberg is gonna get nerfed. It have plenty of weak sides to balance the strong points. If anything, it should recieve the badly needed buff along with the rest of geman cruisers: more resistant engine and rudder.
-
Last time when i checked BB should counter the CA, not the other way...
-
About the premium ships balance. I have absolutely no problem if those ships are comparable to normal ones, with occasional trip to good side or the bad one. just don't make them too weak (like the Mikasa or Albany) or too strong (nothing right now, even Murmansk while good, is certainly not pay to win, as it has problems and if you don't feel it, you gonna sink very fast). After all, those ships ARE damn expensive, so they should be pleasant to play.
