That's complete BS. Even more, because if you didn't notice already WG ran to Cyprus cause that's tax paradise.

About WG EU community work, special events and pricing policy...
Vanhal replied to Vaderan's topic in General Discussion
About the downvotes, considering how many up and downvotes one person can give per day it is really way harder to get on minus. Beside, this means almost nothing, as i got downvoted for long, constructive posts few times and my most upvoted post was basically stupid troll post with Putin's meme. NA forum even disabled downvotes entirely, or so i heard. The rest of quote. Thanks. Now we only need to witness new ships without bundles and new ships for doubloons. As i already gave WG 50 euro during the closed beta based on promise they WILL appear, and i still have all those doubloons. Oh, and idk if you can do this, but some notice about the rarity of the ships during their premiere would be greatly appreciated. -
Yup. Few other pre-dred was also high there. BB were also always higher than cruisers, so crappy old tubs were higer in level than modern cruisers with much bigger displacement that would destroyed them easily. And the true fun started at the highest levels. H-44 wasn't even biggest BB in game, they had some 150000t monstrosities. Of course, other nations had 90000t in the same place. And yet, as you can see, some guys are complaining about paper ships in WoWs and giving NF as an example. Yes, that why i given only battleships as an examples.
-
Yeah, like this (Regina Elena class predreadnought), 69 lvl in NF On par with this (KM battleship Gneisenau), 68 lvl in NF On par with this (King George V, RN battleship), lvl 72 in NF To name just a few. And MMo raising their level caps do that because this is only way of expanding their content. Here, WG can just add new lines. not to mention that other MMo's don't have economy system preventing lot of players to play the highest level content and making it unfun for most of the remaining people.
-
And the tech trees would look dull. Sorry, i seen "realistic" trees in NF, WT and AW and i must say that WG ideas are way way better. And tiers above 10 are unacceptable for several reasons, mainly because balancing problems and economy.
-
It's not fun in BB too though. Don't have T10 right now but if a T10 game the only one trying to do anything is me in my Tirpitz, despite some good players also present, that could means the one thing only. The only thing Tirpitz is different than the others - repair costs - are deciding factor. Plus, Midway is erasing ships almost like Ryujo or Zuiho before the nerf (not talking about me, weak AA T8 BB shouldn't be equal opponent to T10 CV). And political reasoning is not the factor - russian dd's are even worse. WG probably adopted the "make it crap and then buff" philosophy instead of "make them OP then nerf" (they probably learned from CV fiasco). Only this time they overdid it greatly, and one of the main problem with WG is incredibly long feedback loop so it will take them ages to fix that.
-
But it's not very effective... Personally i don't think game is in such sorry state that it needs saving by gamplay changes. Some things needs fixes, a lot of things need to be added, but it's not in a terminal condition right now. That saying, 0.5.1 introduces at least 4 major changes relevant to my interests and test server confirmed that my hope is not misplaced this time, so i'm waiting with impatience. Most critical thing that DO need the change is this game f2p model. Namely, less punishing high tier economy and less greedy WG.

Closed Beta stats now available for players..
Vanhal replied to Admiral_noodle's topic in General Discussion
No, they added it today or yesterday probably. Gah, i've got some CV games played, i'm ashamed -
Can you point me to source about that? ugh, at least Star Trek Online don't force me to play two games (battles, missions, whatever) in Akira class just to play one in my Odyssey... I get what you want to say, but the "price to pay for a free to play game" sounds absolutely wrong. Oh, and some of our fellow NA players thoughts about this: http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/55368-we-want-lower-repair-costs/#topmost EDIT: thanks David, but i don't see how that can affect the WG at all, as the triple grind is so devious that it is completely free to play, but punishing as hell.
-
And guess why they stay in the back? Yup, because of the repair costs - who goes first, dies under concentrated fire. DD's and cruisers are the same i bet, but shorter range unfortunately forces them to stand closer. Btw. here's a same thing from our fellow NA players: http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/55368-we-want-lower-repair-costs/#topmost Oh, and WoWs is much harsher than WoT - there i usually break even on 9 tier without premium. Tier 8 was overally on small +. Here, tier 8 is mostly on -. On North Carolina, no less.

Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: The thing is Vanhal, we're all up for having a discussion with players, but when a discussion is presented as a list of demands, the tone is unfriendly, and the thread has a nasty feeling of "We're not listening to what you have to say, unless your answers are what we're asking for. It's not really much of a discussion and almost anything we say will just be met with hostility and snide remarks. That could be very easily avoided. Like, for example, regular Q&A. I presume it is quite easier to get answers from the game developers and WG decision makers for you than for us. Ev1n Q&A were great but very irregular and now they are closed. A lot of the info about the game we got from datamining or weird places. And the info about the marketing is almost nonexistent. Hostility came from the two sources: first from the feeling of injustice, both in bundles and in non equal treating of servers; and second, from the feeling of getting ignored. Notice how the uproar is getting more every time next bundle is getting released without any answer to the previous feedback. Oh, and the moderation of the previous threads, even if it was purely accidental didn't help at all. Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: With regards to specific threads where players feel we should be posting in, please try to understand that no single player over another has any special right to demand replies in a thread from Wargaming staff members. If we replied to every thread where someone says "Hey WG answer me" or mentions one of our names, do you honestly think that everyone else wouldn't then just make the same request/use the same tags/name drop the same staff members? We're kinda getting that way with certain people thinking every time they make a topic, we have to reply to them because their issues are more important that anyone else or they are treating the forums as a personal Q&A session. Hence i use the "can you" aimed a MrConway personally when i saw that MrConway is reading this As this was confirmation that at least he, among WG employees other than moderators is infact reading those threads and is not currently occupied doing work of their as yet unempolyed future colleagues. I do believe it was not demand, which would have been kinda silly as by no means he or anyone else is obliged to respond to me, but a request. About treating the forums as personal Q&A section, i always thought it is one of the forum purposes. And we don't have the dedicated forum section for Q&A, so it is kinda expected that the questions and issues would pop all over the place. Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: trying to walk the fine line between company and player without leaning too much on one side. I think everyone here gets that you say what you can say. Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: we will also always be the people who are here to represent the voice of the players. I don't really have enough data to comment on this. Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: I'm known for speaking my mind and not always thinking how best to word something when I'm just as frustrated as the players are. You guys don't want to hear that though, it's much easier to assume we're being ignorant when instead our absence is perhaps due to heated discussion internally or something like gathering as much feedback from the players to convey player sentiment on a topic. Funny enough, it is exactly what i would like to hear. That something is happening, that there are discussions, that people who makes decisions we are questioning hear about that. That they know we are unhappy. I would want to read about everything that you could say about what is happening. To know we aren't just praying to stone idols and you are not priests that sometimes come out of the temple to preach to lowly (un)believers. Now i do know you don't have the time to do all that and probably even can't say much about that because no company ever want the clients to know what's happening inside, but you just did a tiny little speck of it. And it was certainly better. Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: On some occasions there is simply no presence because as mentioned earlier, unless our reply is giving a player what they have demanded, adding a reply to the thread doesn't actually help anyone, especially the person who created the thread. You have to pick and choose your battles and also where your presence will actually add something based on what you have to say without taking what people are saying as something personal. I would say even on most occasions it is pointless, like "WG what the **** is that?!" rants that shows up regularily or on already answered questions (obligatory daily "where is RN?" thread). But on the recurring and/or big issues you should do this. This is one of them. It don't have to be instant, but something at the lines of "We in EU bureau are looking into the matter, we asked the relevant people for the answer" - that would do a lot to quell the issue, ofc if the quelling is not the only purpose and the questions would really be adressed later. Not necessary adressed how the players want, but not ignored. Although i'm kinda torn on the recent bundle response you provided. Do players really wanted those bundles as the only means of buying premium ships? Every obtainable info and feedback says otherwise, so you can see how i took that as absolute nonsense. Sorry for double post, but i apparently quoted too much, so i guess i will be forgiven this time: Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: 2: I can fully see where you're coming from here and I apologize to EU players if they feel they're getting the rough end of the stick. Our EU/NA/Asia/RU offices all have different structures and it's not something that's going to change anytime soon. What works in one region may work due to server populations, or it may work due to having different responsibilities. We were down a few staff members recently in EU and recruitment is on-going to fill those positions. Contests in EU will be more regular and we're taking with NA and Asia regularly to discuss how to better improve contests which have global audiences (such as YouTube videos, Twitch Streams, reddit etc etc). Well, i'm not really interested in any contests, never was. But patch 0.5.1 do implement framework for ingame events. I hope it don't stays empty, as this will do MUCH to alleviate the deserted town feeling we have now. And certainly gives hope that this game would be on par with WoT. Next, some discounts and premium ships to buy ingame and we're good. Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: I have not said we ignore the forums, only that's it's not the sole source for feedback on certain things. It's really key that players read this because I know for sure I'll be misquoted later without a source link from the person misquoting me and claiming we don't listen to players. As above, offical forums, reddit, some other places clearly says that nobody want bundles only. I certainly missed some, but the internet is a big place, and world beside internet is even bigger, so i would be grateful for sources that overrides those so greatly we can't even get a choice what we want to buy, and we are standing before buy tied products or leave choice. If the truth is that WG simply won't offer us anything else, just say it. Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: Sometimes packages will always be aimed at players with more disposable income and other times the packages will be priced lower to appeal to a broader audience. That's another imprtant issue which have not been answered: will it always be the packages? No new bare ships beside those few already here? No new ships ingame for doubloons? Or at least not in the predictable future (like 2-3 months)? Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: - I agree that a 30% discount on the Atago is a good discount, but it's not a discount you can expect every month. Ha, but can we expect it at all? Or any discounts like there are very often in WoT or even that were common here during closed beta? Ectar, on 29 October 2015 - 07:55 PM, said: Sadly I won't be able to reply to any comments this evening as it's taken me about an hour of writing and rewriting this reply and I'm off home now. I will reply to what I can tomorrow but I have to ask that players show a bit of restraint and don't expect replies to every single comment. Read the opening post by Vaderan and note what he's asking from each of you. Discussion is healthy, it's what forums are there for at the end of the day, for people with similar interested to talk about that interest. Making demands/threats/throwing out snide remarks isn't so healthy so please lets not go there. Thanks for making this discussion at all. Hope it will continue. Cheers. -
Well, it still exist, compared to many many many more theoretically more famous vessels. In some parts of the world it's probably more known that most of the WWI - II warships. It kinda reminds me the Warspite discussions, we had quite a lot people there who never heard of that ship. It's in the beholder's eye i guess.

About WG EU community work, special events and pricing policy...
Vanhal replied to Vaderan's topic in General Discussion
For the discussion we need two sides. The other one is not very interested, considering that the topic was talked many many times and if i remember correctly we only got one very ridiculous post from Ectar in the response. Other important thing i want to hear the answer is issue of not getting anything to buy for dubloons. Btw. Hello, MrConway, i see that you are reading this thread, can you say something about the issue? We may be the venting minority, but those things may escalate quickly and unexpectedly if ignored. -
A tak w ogóle, to co Ty chłopie sobie za nie chcesz kupić? Chyba że duplony to jakaś forma zapłaty w naturze...
-
And is certainly a legend. Ship so bad that WG resigned from milking it even further than they did is something.

Well, a lot, granted. But not a lot of players seems to want victory even now, considering how many of them actively seeks defeat or at least it seems that way. And i don't think this will be grat problem, unless they did WoT missions (somehow despite not being the last noob i couldn't even complete the first set of missions for Stug). Besides, considering the stunning pace of events we have now, this could as well be empty for months. Hey, at least we can skip the torpedo missions now.
-
No missiles and such. Kutuzov and Khabarovsk are clearly still WW2 tech. They got upgrades later ofc, but current post-war ships like the Midway and Des Moines don't have their post-war upgrades.

There are not millions of tabs, only four. Just for some reason clicking on the mission changes the view. And don't tell me you don't want missions, especially that those look as framework for finally introducing some ingame events.
-
Oh, they did read it, i'm absolutely sure of it. Just it was ignored because what the hell did they could say to that? They can't because they lose they jobs like (probably) that guy from NA whose head rolled for Murmanskgate, and the higher ups are ignoring the issue as long as the cash flow and are hiding behind the CC's back. Crapy situation when everyone is getting hurt, even those scoundrels that devised those cash grabs, in the long run. He was calm, for the first 250 posts. Only remotely related answers he got were accusation of personal vendetta and statement that players want bundles (!!!)...

Same here, My interests ends mostly with Washington Treaty. The only T10 ship i want from current ones is Yamato. Plus few others from lower tiers like Deutschland or Richelieu. As such i still would play mostly lower tiers no matter the economy. For me the reason i abhor this high tier "economy" is the fact that since the beginning of WoT the simple "-" before credits is instantly ending the fun for me. This feels like actual losing and getting back in the game (and before you ask, yes, i tried EVE and deleted that crap as soon as i lost my first ship and noticed how it work there).
-
Still unproven dogma. Can you point me to even one proof of the T10 oversaturation theory? Mind you, im not asking of anything else that the removal of the need for triple grind: - First you grind the new ships - OK - Second you grind the cash to buy them - the prices are kinda high, especially the modules, but it's still ok, it just means the game are grindy, but that's not unusual - And finally third, you still need to grind to play the ships you've earned. That's not ok, that's crap. If we remove that BS by making ships never gone on minus credits (zero is perfectly fine), it would not reduce the need for grinding points 1 and 2.
-
All they need to call someone a cheater is one citadel. Or even one hit. Provided they are the ones getting hit...
-
I didn't mean WG. This is obvious (except that alleged T10 oversaturation that stands as kinda unproven dogma). I meant that guys who makes the "git gud" and "i think it's ok hence it is ok" statements. What they will lose to take this on such personal level?
-
Well, their are buffing Dresden, Kolberg and Karlsruhe AP penetration. Dresden didn't need it so much, but the other two do require this desperately. Both would still suck tho - Kolberg has not enough HP and the Karlsruhe need way more buffs. That's actually one of the best point of this patch, easily omitted during the reading though. That means they FINALLY noticed the glaring hole PvE is. It could potentially means they are planning to expand PvE into something better than pointless time sink it is now.
-
You're right, i even read on this forum few times that a lot of higher tier CV damage comes from such flooding tricks. WG must have read it too (pity they apparently can't do the same with the milking and economy threads).
