  2. Yes, the problem with smoke is its offensive use. If smoke was used to disengage and cover friendly ship, it wouldn't be bad, but shooting clouds are greatly slowing the game. If that's true, then they deserve a medal. But i don't believe it, at least not without some proof for a really massive shitstorm that would make the WG change the entire line at the last minute, which they never did before, and are really actively trying to avoid it. More probably it was something that came out when supertesters and WG employees started testing the ships in greater numbers. I don't think they would be OP even with smoke, just extremely annoying one trick ponies, and that would be very bad for everyone, both them, their allies and most importantly, game infested with shooting clouds. You may not remember when they nerfed the smoke once before (and that was even before the smoke camping has become a thing!), because it can turn even a nice battle into a stall campfest in mere seconds. But i bet it was because they gone against the base idea of cruisers in WoWs, as all-round ships, shoehorning them way too far into one alley. Again, making national differences is a good thing, building entire line around just that one difference is bad idea. And i suggest until the reformed version show not to jump the gun and say they will be useless. As they were, just without smoke, they would be crappy indeed, but that's why they are reworked. Yup.
  3. Kutuzov and Zao approve. Common sense and balance do not. Unless you would like to reduce every weapon range and map sizes in game by the same %, but that would be a little pointless.
  4. They decided to change them shortly after more numerous tests begins, and the change occured publicly, at the hour 11. Which they NEVER did before, even in case of the single premium ship. So something in the idea must have been really bad (probably the smoke).
  5. I cannot agree more. Big chunk, perhaps even the most, of game balance problems which persist today started in alpha, when the devs decided to forcefully widen the "national differences" gap.
  6. Smoke was really, really, really bad idea. Other than that, i'm a bit indifferent. I believe they will make the ships playable as they managed with all other lines. Oh, perhaps one more thing. Remember when i always was reminding that WG can never, ever manage to satisfy the teaboo RN maniacs, and no matter what they do the "where is RN?" spam will be replaced by much worse whining when RN would not be OP? It's happening already, and they aren't even out yet.
  7. Strange. WG pricing and events are the definition of avarice, yet they don't want our money at the same time, no incentive to buy anything.

    Not that much. But when it first hit beta, one of the main complaints about it was that both the graphics and gameplay looks and feels very dated, like 10 year old game. Same as Steel Ocean actually.

    Idk about high tiers, but WoWs DD on any tier are more stealthy than the SO low tier subs. Oh, so that's why i was dying so fast in SO when i tried to play BB like in WoWs.

  13. I wonder what will come of it, except the flag. I would want Graf Spee, but this is absolutely impossible because it is a hyped ship that WG never ever would release for free. About the anime, if you don't like slice of life crap and schoolgirls doing nothing interesting for 90% of the time, don't watch it. The ships are there, but less than 10% of the action have to do with them. Also, Isoroku for wows mascot, best part of this anime.

    Well, when i detonate anyone, it is only good because of rewards. But i feel a bit cheated, it was "fun and engaging" RNGesus kill, not mine. If he had low HP versus your high HP ramming is good move and better for him than shooting.
  15. Or it could be the great step back, like the last time WG rebalanced the rewards. We know nothing at this point. There is a big chance it will be good for the game - after all it gives much more economy balancing tools, as compared to current crude measures. But the economy need change not for the sake of the change itself, if they won't ease the maintenance on the high tiers, it won't change much.

    Add "Being focused by carrier(s)". Even detonation is less frustrating than being attacked time after time with no chance for retaliation whatsoever. Especially at low tiers, with no or almost no AA. Even if i can evade the most of the attacks, often the guy is persistent as hell despite he would probably had way more succes with the straight sailng guy 3km away.

    REQUEST for Premium Ships (wishlist)

    My wishlist for premium: 1. Admiral Graf Spee 2. Hood (i would better like it to be in the regular British BB tree as a branch, but we all know WG won't abandon such cash) 3. Impero (as not completed, it could be molded by WG to have some unique characteristics).
  19. I hope they will. Rest is more or less tweaks. Smoke for entire line will be just massive PITA for everyone and will serve only to lessen fun from the game.

    How i can get the port pack to work? It's not showing for me at all. EDIT: Got it from the source, then it worked.
  21. I hope not only the carriers will get this kind of change (repair costs). It will also eliminate any semblance of tanking BB may have. Currently going bow-on is the only way anyone can push in a BB, because it allow for negating most of damage from at least part of the enemy team. No one will push against more than one ship if enemy BB will pack heavy damage to the front. It will also give running BB's even more advantage over the chasing one than it have now, making game even more campy. No, i don't like it at all. Like i was saiyng since the start, that's what you get for basing ship game on a tank mechanic. About British CL's, i'm very happy they lose the smoke. Perhaps someone in WG finally remembered why they changed smoke once already - having half of battlefield covered in shooting and torping clouds was no fun back then and it wouldn't be in the future.
  22. Bzdura. Jeśli nadejdzie, czego nie jestem taki pewien, to dlatego, że WG zrobiło dwie gry w jednej, z czego jedna ma ile? 7% popularności? 93% ludzi woli tą drugą. Jest to zwykłe głosowanie nogami, można by rzec. WG usiłuje temu zapobiec, ale kto był od alfy to wie, jak to się toczyło - bez żadnej wizji jak to ma wyglądać, i bez polotu do tego.

    tired 2 tier up

    I know two new players which got few 5-6 ships before the MM change. They unsurprisingly stopped playing at all. Small sample, but still. The whack in the head at tier 5 is much stronger to them than before, because before it wasn't uptiering all the time. On a plus, the horrible tier 3+2 MM disappeared. I do think the answer would be to had +2MM all across the board back, but at the same time: 1. Lessen the differences between the lower tiers, for example tier 3 is way more inferior to 4 than tier 9 is to 10. 2. Maybe give some modifier to MM to equalize the amount of uptiering and downtiering per player.
