    Premium Ships

Yavuz Sultan Selim, Moltke class battlecruiser (former SMS Goeben). That ship got some history. Predreadnoughts Mikasa, Potemkin, Oryol. Armored cruisers Izumo, Scharnhorst, Averof, Monmouth, Edgar Quinnet (six funnels, yeah).

    Nothing about Hood i guess.

    Armed Merchant Ships

I agree there, they seems to be weak even against tier I ships, but since it's tier I it could pass. What? TOG is very nice tank, albeit incredibly slow, but it have nice hp pool, good gun and good MM. It isn't good tank for Raisenai heroes wannabe, but as a credit earner it performs very good.

    Armed Merchant Ships

Even counting speed Almaz is exactly a civilian ship, compare to various similar - "Hohenzollern II", "Dannebrog" (this one is newer, but bear many similarities), or british yachts like "Victoria and Albert" or especially "Alexandra". 19 knots wasn't impossible on civilian ships in 1903. Although in case of Almaz line is indeed blurred a little by it being armed from the start (decisive would be looking at its blueprints, if it was to be armed right from the start of the project, unfortunately i didn't found them) and that it could fit with a whole plethora of ships called unprotected cruisers.

    Armed Merchant Ships

It's rather that any kind of usable vessel could be assigned as a dispatch ships, be they either civilian or military. You can have few examples here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dispatch_boat Yacht is a type of vessel built for civilian purpose, although Almaz itself was sufficiently big and fast to be assigned as cruiser. Definition for you: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/yacht Additionally, here is model of Almaz. You can clearly see it's a civilian cruise vessel, just with added guns:

    Armed Merchant Ships

This supposedly will be british I tier ship, as you can see it served as armed merchant ship: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMCS_Prince_David_%28F89%29 And this is russian one, while not merchant, before arming it was a yacht, so it's also civilian construction: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_cruiser_Almaz

    Anti Ballistic Missile Ship Design

Interesting project. Btw. could you write something more about that Scud carrying vessel?
  8. Tbh that don't mean much. Especially Americans are notorious for confusing liberation and occupation
  9. Weird, i always heard sailors must be realistic in their work. And wishful thinking is deadly versus the ocean. Not to mention Russian battleships.
  10. That's from first beta weekend. Even ignoring Russians you can clearly see that EU players were the least active while having more players than Asia and NA.

Yet they are still calling it World of Waiting. Patient fans
  12. Sorry, didn't quite understand you, if you want do talk about WW2 Soviet fleet and not it's inclusion in the game this is indeed right place. About dreadnoughts, Russians completed 7 of them: 4 "Gangut" class and 3 "Imperatritsa Mariya" class. Only ship of next class "Imperator Nikolai I" was never completed. All of them were inspired by Italian dreadnought "Dante Alighieri" and designs of Vittorio Cuniberti. Though second class was supervised by British engineers. It also had british fire control system, called Argo Clock. Three of the "Gangut" class vessels - "Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsiya" (ex "Gangut"), "Marat" (ex "Petropavlovsk") and "Parizhskaya Kommuna" (ex "Sevastopol") took active part in WW2, but were never engaged in battle at sea, mainly supporting ground forces and being bombed by Luftwaffe. "Marat" was sunk by air attack in 23 september 1941, although rear part of the ship with two 305mm turrets was used later in siege of Leningrad. Here it is in the new role:
  13. While mixed fleets of american and japanese ships fighting against other mixed fleets of american and japanese ships have perfect sense?
  14. Yep, you can start. After you cool off a little of course, as this opening post looks like prelude to flame war. Besides, that's very old news anyway, already discussed in the thread you linked. Also, wrong section on the forum.

    The Anti-Aircraft Light Cruiser Design

    Gib dat ship in WoWs
  16. Eh? When? St Louis and Chikuma were protected cruisers for example.
  17. Tbh they could even do a Gondorian Navy and as long as it would be plausible i would enjoy it just the same
  18. I belive you wanted me to read again those two: So: You don't belive in RU market bringing the biggest income to WG, you called it "nonsense". So, you must know WG finances or your statement is at best pure speculation or more probably - nonsense, as it conradicts WG actions clearly indicating that RU is their biggest market. Or perhaps you think WG is intentionally working against their own profits, which again seems false. And i didn't even actually said that you aren't right (though i absolutely dont believe that to be honest), i'm asking you, what sources do you have that can confirm your speculations. Or it is just you disagreeing using arguments such as "it's dumb" and "more i think". Oh, and comparing work needed to make nation in football game to a work needed to make nation in WoT/WoWp/WoWs is just plain silly.
  19. So, you are saying that you know WG finances better than WG itself? Interesting, please share.

    Random Warship Facts

Torps, torps everywhere. However, this was the ship who was first victim of that madness: Chilean armored frigate "Blanco Encalada", first warship ever sunk by self-propelled torpedo. It was done during Chilean Civil War on 23 April 1891 by one torpedo launched by torpedo boat "Almirante Lynch".
  21. Wow, thay really made over 1500 pages on NA forum... Edit: checked that Pukapuka manga. Hilarious.
  22. Well i didn't played the game but i would expected to see at least some of ships. This is just another iteration of the "girls as tanks/guns/whatever else" idea and every last one of them was utter crap, so i will also abstain from contact with any more of that. And also: For me it was more like: And i do love anime...

    Poland (ORP)

Great work, although you got wrong pic for HMS Danae, instead of cruiser you pasted Leander class frigate (also named Danae tho) commissioned in 1967.

    Proposal of french tech tree

Plus, if Midway make it to the game, it will almost certainly be pre-refit with straight deck. And i don't think deck limitations have anything to do with the engine, it was just part of change to jets, which makes all of WW2 stuff clearly obsolete, like Deamon wrote above.
