No. No one likes Pensacola, it could be barely tolerated On the other hand, there is always the dreaded Nagato looking at you from the depths of the pit.

I approve of the limitation. It balances potential bad divisions and help get the chances even. On the other hand, they should implement one more thing: That the ships in the division can't be more distant than 2 tiers. That would cull down troll divisions (none yet, but those 10 to 1 dumbasses are bound to show when game goes live). And about divisions of 2 or 3 of the same, no it also shouldnt be allowed. Max 1 CV or BB, max 2 DD or cruisers. 3 of the same class have potential to become overwhelming force if we took into account that the battles are only 12 vs 12 (it's like 4 man platoon in WoT), on a relatively large maps, with overall long ship relocations (where it could become equivalent of 5 or more in WoT).

Cleveland is OP and have helluva reputation, as such it is automatically priority target for everyone and their grandmas. That is tip from a guy that bought Cleveland and had 9 straight loses in it with 0 victories

Podobna sytuacja zresztą dotyczy Brytyjczyków i Rosjan. Tak w ogóle to niech najpierw skompletują startowe drzewka japońskie i amerykańskie.

Compared to 200-20000 dmg for BB, plus wild dispersions? Yes, it is. Very minor.

You call that minor thing RNG?
-
It means that worst map just become even worse?
-
They meant planes from carriers. but you are of course absolutely right, planes spotting range was set so low for balance purposes. So, its working as designed.

Don't tell me that they plan to put Vanguard on IX tier, with its archaic main guns...

how will the clan system work, WOT and WoWS, multiple clans per acount ?
Vanhal replied to ChillNova's topic in General Discussion
Some examples? I can't think of even one thing for which you would need it. except maybe some totally made up mechanics. Sorry, but that was very bad decision. There are only two possibilities that would remove that problem: allow different clans for different games or remove 100 players limit. And who knows, maybe you would even get some players for warplanes... -
Both bomber classes are bearable, but fighter difference is too much. It's even more shocking in a game where most ships stand a good chance against higher tiers, but not carriers, here the wall is higher than in WoT. Same issue, although with lesser intensity is with AA guns, instead of steady progress we have big steps.
-
Actually, BB is hardest class, they are hurt by RNG more than any other. It's way harder to encounter good BB player than any other. DD? Just watch where are you going and learn some torps.

There is so much antihistorical crap on the internet this won't make a difference. And it's not hard to check. Plausible namese that follow convention like Myogi are infinitely better than having just letters, numbers and abbreviations. Without any soul, and those are ships, not some mass produced cannon fodder tanks or planes. Look at WoT, how many E, M, T, objects are there? When it was 2 or 3 it was ok, but when there are lots of them even veteran players can be confused sometimes. And player invented nicknames are just that. You can call it whatever you wish, then hundreds of other players will call it with hundreds of other nicknames.
-
Specific class addon: For Myogi: It's a battlecruiser, it's speed is greater than 0 knots For Kongo: Max range is not the only possible range For USN DD's 2-4 tier: Believe it or not, but both allied and enemy ships are actually moving! And second one: Your torpedoes don't have unlimited range.

Game rules seem to be partly for World of Warplanes
Vanhal replied to moth_hunter's topic in Archive
Seems so. Ramming is also ok. -
Me too. I always prefered IJN ships over USN, but i think US BB's will be more fun in this game. At least till the Colorado. North Carolina and above i find ugly and uninspiring. And i like those lattice masts.

Japanese destroyers turret DPS getting worse over high tiers.
Vanhal replied to Spidyy's topic in Archive
And how is turret rotation on higher tiers? Dps means nothing if you can't even aim. -
As opposite to rather rigid WoT MM, one here is rather flexible. From what i noticed, it's aim is to have +/- 1 matches, but with few dozen players in the waiting it's often not possible. There is also factor of class, as they can be only 2 carriers per battle and the numbers of battleships, while not limited (and often quite high), are also keep at possible minimum. Like for example there were over 20 Kongos at the one time (with almost no Myogis, Kawachis or Fusos, weird) and with 50-80 players in line MM struggled to get them into battle. And now i'm sick of hordes of Kongos in every battle
-
You know, that isn't much different from his serious posts

Kawachi have max range shorter than the cruisers, it kinda force them to go into brawl. On the higher tiers when torps are everywhere (and torps spotting range is pitiful) indeed it's good to keep the distance. On the other hand, BB are ships most severely punished by wild RNG, combined with their low rpm and plentiful secondaries (as useless as they are, but still...) it often makes close range engagement the best option.

Fortunately, it isn't happening. We had this discussion many times over already. This isn't NF and it will never be.
