Carriers are OP, Battleships are OP, Cruisers are OP, Destroyers are OP
Vanhal replied to Ectar_'s topic in General Discussion
So you are absolutely ok as the WG staff member that the battleship is the only class that have two classes countering it, despite numerous claims and announcements from WG itself that CV's are suppose to counter every other class, not just one, as it is now? Well, we have of course that thread: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/18739-simply-outrageous-dive-bombers-are/page__fromsearch__1 Where the CV players are claiming that killing DD with TB is easy, but i still see them attacking only BB's and usually getting owned by DD that come close. Or perhaps it IS easy, but if DD cannot evade the torps, how can they say anything about dodging in BB? I'm kinda confused now. Double or quadruple the HP, but infinitely easier to hit. You would want to nerf even the HP from BB's? Why not, it's coming nicely in that direction anyway. It's already here. XP is based on % of HP you take from the ships, so hitting hard to hit DD is granting more XP than hitting easy to hit BB. As it should be. Ofc that means BB are still primary target, because hit rate is so different that less XP is way better than none. -

How do i put that. Either you are a troll or you dealer is. -
Holy crap, 9 kills? On 4 tier? Did entire enemy team got disconnected from game during that battle? Even more funny, you were killed by nothing else than... enemy carrier. Yup, what fantastic fun it must been for the both teams. Your definition of "counter" must be... extravagant, to put it mildly. No one uses fighter setup: 1. Piss poor reward for shooting planes 2. IJN CV can just zerg the TB's and still do massive damage despite enemy fighters 3. In case of no enemy carriers you are screwed. 4. In case of enemy carrier of higher tier, again you are screwed.

Somebody said screenshot? Here you go: As meaningful as anything anyone can post.

Still not true. You may notice the effect, if you aim is off when you shoot full salvoes and you correct it while shooting one turret at a time. Style of shooting don't lessen the disperse and RNG. Depends. They had rubbish agility because of huge mass ->inertia. That is reflected by rudder shift time. If you meant the turning circle radius, that could be very small, much smaller than people can imagine. Of course. Yet, this is exactly what a lot of people want from the BB "Go soak the damage and bait the torps and die so my ship is not targeted, because i want to shoot and do damage and i can't be bothered to learn dodging, i have poor awareness and i don't like to look on the minimap". Well, it would be what the BB's are suppose to do if their role was TANK. But it's not, as BB's don't have the traits usually atributed to tank role, or have them castrated by standard WG merry-go-round of buffs and nerfs. I don't even really think ships NEED to be forced into the traditional mmo roles as it does not fit here. Just don't expect anyone to be scapegoat for somebody else XP and cash. At least not in random battles which are, after all, only about xp and cash.

That have absolutely no effect on disperse and RNG, as been confirmed (you can read NA forums, they don't have so many BB haters there and are going with much cooler heads). It can work to some degree though, as you can correct your aim on the run if you aim was off. In ships with multiple turrets ofc, like Wyoming, on Myogi it's obviously not working.

Too much gold shot from KV2 trollgun mate.

I ma ciekawą aranżację boazerii na nadbudówkach. Zresztą pewnie ta boazeria zapewnia lepszą ochronę niż jego pancerz
-
Don't forget to also give only one or at most two reloads, 10 minutes reload time and accuracy of 1%. Well, maybe 3% for unicums.
-
I'm doing this for almost a year. Myogi is bad ingame design, which merits are range and speed and it's unable to use it's range due to crappiest gun ever. Speed by itself means nothing. Oh, wait. You can use it for ramming. Seems that what's this ship purpose.

No, they are not. Delibarate trojan and virus spreaders should be stomped like cockroaches they are.

If they are selling it, or hiding behind codes, SMS, surveys or whatever it's 100% scam.

That's a Owl level facepalm, something like "O RLY?" mixed with classic facepalm Means that while you can arguably earn positive income even on tier 10 without the premium (when you shoot well and don't loose any hp), no way that you can do that constantly and earn "lots" of money. So my answer to the OP would be, that he should choose his favorite 5 or 6 tier ship and play with that, as 4 tiers are usually very crappy and at 7 tier repair costs are rising considerably. And here, same as in WoT exist the optimal earning/cost ratio, and again, same as in wot it seems to be on 5-6 tier. For me 3 best candidates are Cleveland, Minekaze and Fuso. CV are OP currently and if he can stomach the horrible tedium of playing them they will bring lots of money (supposedly, as i can's stomach it so i'm basing this on various bragging and whining screens found across the forum). Omaha and Kongo seems to be allright too.

Myogi is even worse, and have less guns. Last two battles i just shoot when i could, then choose the juiciest BB in enemy team and rammed it. Unsurprisingly, both the XP and cash earned was much higher than for full 20 minutes of shooting. WTF is this, friggin trireme?!? I would like to see how is Fuso and Amagi, in CBT i was able to hit even on 20km...

If you nerf the damage, usual vultures would fill the forum with their whine spam again, and this is not needed, as problem don't lie here, damage is not too high. After all you are suppose to fear torpedo hits. Real problem is in what "you are not gonna talk", still unavoidable 2 seconds drop from planes following your turns without even semblance of realistic attack run and not hampered by nonexistent or extremely weak AA.
-
No, that's true. Well, maybe i'm exaggerating a little , but running ship is still much harder to hit than any other. Damn, why i even write this, i much prefer face to face, bare chest, axe-in-the-face slugging than some cowardly hit-then-crap-your-pants-and-run "tactics"! Come at me! WAAAAAGH!!!

Don't worry, if you don't have doubloons to spare for port slots, you probably don't play on premium account. Here, in WoWs, FerengiWG implemented a solution for you (and any free player): - No way in hell you can afford playing more than 1/2 lines simultaneously on normal account, thus you don't need more slots.

While he shows the charts to prove his point and when they are doing opposite, he claim they are old and basically irrelvant. Why post them in the first place? Besides, they ARE old and, for example, turning rate had been greatly nerfed since then. I would like to see actual, open beta charts. Especially for lower tiers, 3-5, because most of the discussion is about those.

If you sail showing your side, it's extremely easy to hit with a bit of experience. If you are sailing toward me, it's still easy, but dmg is a lot lower due to dispersion and angling If you run away. Hell, it's friggin hard for me, despite almost year in game i still can't hit running ship well
-
I't better than before due to new hull, but still: 1. Totally underarmed, 6 guns is not enough, especially considering that Wyoming have 12 and you still play on smaller maps where range don't count 2. As player who not had any problem with hitting on 15-20 km in closed beta i'm totally baffled with Myogi. Not only 6 guns with horrible dispersion is bad on greater range (that was to be expected, it nullify greatest Myogi advantage though), but also shells velocity seems to be very slow, and drastically different from most other ships.

Saddly WG doesn't take the PvE battles seriously...
Vanhal replied to tacomaco's topic in General Discussion
What? You should see the chat when the bots are winning. Nothing in pvp is so toxic. Like the one time, when 3 players rammed themselves in the narrow passage on the North map. And bot Kitakami choose this exact moment to flood said passage with 20 torps. Man, even though we lost because of that i laughed so hard -
That's absolutely true, though it just shows that BB damage dealing ability is even more removed from the hands of the player than if it was pure RNG problem.

That's good question. Again it comes to what exactly "aligned economy" means. As usual we don't have exact explanation for that, nor do i think we will be ever given one, considering how the current course seems to be obscuring game info, logic and philosophy from the players instead of revealing them. So, as for now we have three possibilities: 1. Exact copy of WoT economy with adjustments for objective factors. I seriously fail to see why the hell not? It would make everything clearly comparable and explainable. Factors like battle lenght, average xp, damage, earnings and so on could be very easily compared and adjusted (in case when it would be needed) in civil and clear way. 2. Totally different economy. In that case joined account is counter productive as it will give people false info. 3. "Aligned economy". The case we have now. I have no doubts someone will make more broad statistics and compare the economy sooner or later. From preliminary and basic comparison (not to mention simply looking at basic prices) we already have figured (except few players that are very determined to see the emperor's clothes after all) that something is not right, as in ignored or underestimated battle time factor and double premium prices. In short, it's a bog, in which we have our faces now. Lack of rewards for shooting planes is one of the main unbalancing factors ingame, and that have not been changed for many months and many patches despite significant feedback. But, thats problem for another thread, worth mentioning here mainly for the reason how close economy is entwined with purely technical balance factors. In fact, economy is single most important thing for free to play game. Thats because, while many f2p games failed despite having good economy, not a single one was successful while having bad economy. It simply must be good, must keep players ingame. That's why we have to make those threads, even if they are ignored.
