I will left the most of your post uncommented as i really don't enjoy deepening anyone's (even yours) humiliation, even if caused purely by themselves. - I guess if they are not banned, so they really don't have anything to worry about mods being out of some supposed line? What we are even talking about if no mods are banned? WG said so, so all mods are totally fine - hence all the mod haters should stfu and gtfo. But wait, wait, WG changed the client so NO MODS CAN BE MADE. Neat huh? - And i explicitly (not only me) criticised the "mod approval pipeline" as at worst pipe dream and at best restrictive mechanism that will do no good, because some valuable and expected mods just cannot be approved, like some historical flags and ship paintings. Remember all that discussion about symbols, especially JMSDF flag? It was very hot untill the mods showed up. Right now we can expect resurrecting of the issue. Oh, and what about approving mods that may or may not collide with other franchises, possibly causing copyright issues? Suppose somebody would like Warhammer 40000 flag or texture? What then? - Again, maybe pipe dream, maybe not. What would be automated? Again, not enough info, all secret (rather being thought of ad hoc, but meh, let them) - Ev1n is saying many things, some not exactly corroborated by other official sources (for example some gamescon info vs the latest Q & A). Not that i accuse him of lying, he is not exactly making decisions there and is writing with good faith in mind, but this is exactly the WG issue for years already - lack of info. And it was also this that begin the whole issue - they tried to push this by accomplished fact. And the issue is too big for that. - About this i never ever had any issues, nor do anyone ever said that the cheats, hacks and even mere aim mods are something good. So this is wrong address. You could also noticed that i wrote lots and lots of times that the problem is sudden block on ALL MODDING, which is definitely heavy handed absurd. Especially that the one issue that was real issue and not paranoic fear (also another common bigot trait) was dealed swiftly and effectively, confirming both WG abilites and will to address the issues. So there is no reason to flush the child with bathwater. - Not blocking the major part of the game in stealthy manner would do very much in department of keeping the players confidence. They should first consult the modders, moderated civil discussion wouldn't hurt too. But no, they don't keep their supertesters in line, let files leak, then they put the stick in anthill and we have now the mess. They did all they can to lesser the players trust. About the majority, it's kinda funny how they are selectively used. So i won't force myself to be original about "majority", but this is mighty resembling the lynching or gangarape, majority of the participants of those activities are happy and righteous in their own minds, but so what? Overall, my trust and confidence in WG have never been so low, in the almost 5 years since i started playing in the close beta of WoT. This one issue is worst example of game management ever. Maybe they envied the Gaijin censorship flop? Anyway, whatever they plan, they better do it fast. And inform us even faster.

2. Good to know. Probably it will be of use when you are chasing the CV and he concentrates on you. On 6+ tiers it could be helluva intense considering number of planes in the air. 3. I never thought the main problem of CV lied in the MM, but it surely will improve the game and lesser the amount of whine by the MM issue. 4. New maps are nice although at the Solomon Islands the islands are way too big. Unless the point was cramped brawl at the both ends. The other one have bad team dispersion, but every new maps count to lesser the overal boredom and deja vu feeling. Resigning from the awful rapefest deployment is best map change ever. Widening the torpedo lanes of sure death on the Fault Line is good too. 5. Never before seen buff so useless. 3km is laughable, and from few tests i did the increase of accuracy fells nonexistent. 5 km would change almost nothing. Rudder shift time buff is very small, and without buff to turning circles i don't think it will have any effect for buffed (reported already) manual drops. As for DD, i also doubt it will be serious difference (certainly not Sodom and Gomorrah, like some people started to say even before test). Although i didn't had much problems hitting with DD even when maneuverability was ridiculously high in closed beta, so i may not be best for reference.
-
Missed. He did write he PURPOSELY usedd one of the worst ship ingame to check the value of this buff. As to be expected, it's not only ridiculously useless, but it is actually not meaningful even in those rare situations it should work. Btw. I tried it on Myogi and Kongo - no noticeable difference from before.

Apparently you are so interested that you comment on everthing i say, but as before, you don't have any argument (like the rest mod haters). You just spit your contempt and croak as you think you won. While in reality you just support mistake made by wg. On this decision - everyone lost. Even if they don't know it and are overjoyed. Won't argue over that, as you have a point here (even more than a point), but: 1. We don't have ANY guarantee that the mods will be made in the future. No official confirmation of anything. And the state "as is" is clear - you can't open files so you can't mod anything. 2. WG is not know for informing and discussing with their clients. We are notified of any changes basically when they appear, or shortly before. Even this whole mess have been started by leaked client, and despite every "it's unconfirmed", "it's gossip" and "let's see what will happen" it's now confirmed to be true. 3. As above, if the modders didn't notice that they can't mod new client, it would be unknown. Such major change in game and nothing was said, not in forum, not in diary, not in blog, not in preview. Nowhere. 4. Reading previous thread you may have notice the staff posts and whatever they say, their message is absolutely clear - "kiss our a** "". Not very good auspices for the future.

Opinion regarding the released German cruiser line
Vanhal replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Whatever line Deutschland will be i personally hope it won't be higher tier than 7. As i really would want to play it and losing money on fight is a big no, as it obliterates any pleasure from game (yes, i play high tiers basically because tenacity, not fun ) True, but i doubt WG will introduce such long and hard to pronounce names out of the blue (remember how people can't pronounce even Jagdtiger correctly in WoT?). Although i would love having ship named for Götz, THE most badass German in history (plus maybe another for Florian Geyer). -
They took the responsibility when they removed the aim mod. This here is avoiding the responsibility by terminating the source of need for responsibility. And still only half measure, to ged rid of ANY risk of cheating they would have to close the entire game. No game, no cheats. What they did is ultimately huge, clumsy, heavy handed equivalent of reductio ad absurdum.

Wydaje Ci się, przedtem maksymalnie ulepszony też miał 21 km z kawałkiem.

Accuracy upgrade or turret traverse time reduction on BB's?
Vanhal replied to scousersuk's topic in General Discussion
Module, not skill. -
ISHIZUCHI! Btw. it's got one of the worst armor i've seen and crap range. Ad meritum: Next patch will change the MM. Supposedly for the better, but considering the test server: - CV MM works, getting matched carriers now. Don't negate their OPness but they are much more often on each others throats now instead of 2-20 minutes clubbing. - Other MM is probably broken due to small number of players, but 3+ tiers is common, although it's matched better, meaning that if they are 2 tier 3 in 5 tier battle thay are usually not thrown to one team.

Accuracy upgrade or turret traverse time reduction on BB's?
Vanhal replied to scousersuk's topic in General Discussion
They were trash before the nerf, now it must be complete waste of pixels comparing the lower tier performance (unless on 7 tier IJN secondaries suddenly gets magical +50% to accuracy), especially on Amagi. Btw. you can get range increasing captain skill on Kongo (Fuso at worst), so there is not a single reason to go for anything else than main gun accuracy on any IJN BB, especially Amagi. Maybe on Izumo it would be worth, idk how it's guns are like now. -
Accuracy upgrade or turret traverse time reduction on BB's?
Vanhal replied to scousersuk's topic in General Discussion
Accuracy. Secondaries are trash no matter the range and turret traverse mod while good will also increase your reload time (reduce rate of fire). Accuracy will perhaps give you few more hits per battle. -
My reaction after noticing this:

Idk about Fubuki but i was at Hatsuharu then. Never had any troubles.

Any news on when the skillships will be nerfed? (CVs)
Vanhal replied to fenrirspup's topic in General Discussion
I remember that one patch in Alpha, when even USN 5 tier destroyer had 13 km torp range. Teams was usually half of them and battles looked like endless torpedo streams flooding every pass between (more numerous and bigger then) islands. Even cruisers dropped like flies without even seeing enemy. BB were unplayable. Lots of TK's too. No, thanks, never again. -

Any news on when the skillships will be nerfed? (CVs)
Vanhal replied to fenrirspup's topic in General Discussion
Izumo do not turn, it is merely drifting in more or less desired direction. -
Ah, sorry, indeed it was not you that said that. Btw. in 0.3.1 there was much, much higher buff to both rudder shift AND turning radius and DD's somehow didn't got useless or even very bad. Then of course torp whiners (mainly CV tbh, DD were either not that hurt or just less vocal) whined and maneuverability of ships was obliterated. Apparently WG in it's 4 months reaction time got to the conclusion they overdid the nerf (like they overdid buff to the CV) and now we got some of it back. In other words it's part of the inevitable WG buff/nerf pendulum. Real problem of DD's is the same as CV's - WG have no friggin idea how to implement them. Hence basically every positive change to any other class in reality is also bigger or smaller nerf to DD (just read the forums, like really every thing ever was hailed "DD nerf", with exception of AA buffs - not that we get much of them).
-
So you are saying that artillery shells will be extremely easy to dodge (what is the range of Mutsuki guns?) because some f. huge BB got 2-3 seconds to their rudder shift?

A message directed to WG about 0.4.1 and Mods... is this really true?
Vanhal replied to Tsukotaku's topic in General Discussion
That kinda remind me of the Skyrim story. I wonder if some of the modders would not recieve "great" offer for selling mods for a quarter to nil of a pittance. Nah, it must be only delirium. -
I always said that starships is a way to go next. Even Paradox finally left their history cellar and went to space with grand strategy. WG have Master of Orion and that is excellent lore to base upon. Especially that Dreadnought is STILL not here and from the videos i reckon it will be bland 3d shooter with no feel of huge spaceships (their main selling point!) whatsoever.
-
What's the point of test server if you have to play from tier 1 without huge xp modifier, ton of free xp and gold (in WoT test servers we got all this so we could test new vehicles quickly and got to position to test all other changes...). I think Hashidate and Erie don't need any testing anymore.
-
Thing is, while i too would like to see some team play, i saw it already. Or sometimes not. What don't like is that one class forces others to blob. ONE ship can force gameplay style on EVERYONE. That would be good in Destroyers vs Bismarck PvE scenario. Not in supposedly balanced PvP battle. Even WG admits that, hence we have 2 CV per battle and no CV divisions (which restrictions i would gladly lift in exchange for balanced CV's).
-
I play without premium too, and while i prefer Murmansk, for a regular ship can say that: Tier 5 actually have the noticeable more earnings than 4, while still having very low repair costs. I would say: - Omaha, after a buff it will be glorious, just don't sail straight and dont show open sides to battleship and cruisers, Omaha's armor is paper. - Kongo, worse than Omaha, but still best among the BB's - Minekaze, even after nerf it should be very good Tier 6 earns a little bit more than 5, but repair costs are tripled, so on a crap battles the earnings can be small - Cleveland, not as OP as many state, and require training in shooting (helluva slow shells), it can land massive barrages due to DPM. And you don't have to fear CV, as they are avoiding you mostly. - New Mexico, worse than Cleveland of course, but it's hard to kill if you can angle and dodge torps, therefore it live longer, and that automatically converts to cash (unless you are afk of course). - Fuso was very good in closed beta, so it would also be probably good now, especially it wasn't nerfed to hell like US BB (just to quarter hell). Last, honorable mention for Farragut, now probably crappy, it was incredibly fun and gained huge profits in CB.
-
That is definitely issue that must be addressed and the income buffed. I, never playing on premium will need some premium ship, but earnings on the premium ships compared with normal are not so great at all, even Murmansk will lose it's charm when the Omaha's range will be buffed.

Down with the draws. Long Live Domination!
