Not to forget the hit ratio of guns at range - 15 minute battles would result in little or no damage - so not much in the way of credits or XP. The grind would really be painful for all. I imagine that each battle would have to last hours - something that not everyone can invest their time in.

When you go to the page there is a 'particpate' button - you need to press that. Edited; You first have to press the 'reveal the truth button' - be aware that returns an annoying flashing screen.

Be warned that the image that is shown when you've clicked the first button contains flashing colours - so if you're adversely affect by such things - be aware!

Thanks for putting that warning on - the flashes could be bad news for some people (epileptics for one). I don't know why WG would think that such a screen is appropriate.

I doubt that WG would ever let people put XP on Elite ships into Captain XP - there are players who will spend gold to convert the excess ship XP into Feee XP.

I did the RN mission but I did not go out of my way to get potential damage - after all a gunboat DD will attract that anyway as enemy players try and hit you. Staying alive and doing damage and spotting ships does mean more credits and XP anyway. I did post elsewhere that the requirement was potential damage and not real damage - so I could not see any reason to change my play style. But potatoes will be potatoes.

That's really only the case if they change the way they play in order to get the achievements. Personally, I just the game and the achievements tend to unlock - just longer than it takes other players. I did take out my Scharnhorst, Tirpitz and Bismark today though. I also used the french BBs and they added some secondary hits. I'll complete the secondary requirement tomorrow when I take out the German BBs again.

Apart form everything else mentioned about T8s the other problem is that other players will usually have high tier captains (maybe even tier 19 ones) and these will be a lot more effective than what you've got at the moment. If you were to fact T10s then they should all have T19 captains. The problem with sailing in circles is that unless you've got fast moving turrets there will be times that you won't be in a position to fire your guns at a target which means you will be doing less damage (and therefore less credits and XP). Sailing in circles in sight of the enemy will get you deleted at some stage through multiple citadels. In your second replay you did not seem aware that as you sailed back to the one cap your team held the enemy had broken the other flank and you were sailing towards them - you then offered them (and the other flank) your broadside. Priority target #1 should be the DDs - once you remove them the enemy team has a lot harder time spotting your team (as it does not have DDs spotting you). Concealment Expert (CE) comes into play then. When you get containers in-game what are you selecting? I tend to try for signals so there is no reason to ever have a naked ship. I'd say two CVs working together should be able to remove the enemy CVs planes efficiently. There is nothing worse than your side not having an effective CV from early in the game - it's as bad as if the team loses all the DDs at the start without taking out the enemy DDs.

Yes, my experience also. The ultimate nightmare is that many radar ships plus a CV that parks a plane over the enemy DDs to make the game even less fun for them (and as the lightning is fairly slow (It does pick up speed fairly quickly but it's top speed is bad)) it does take longer to get out of range and even longer if an enemy DD is chasing you (or a fast cruiser).

The Kamikaze has not been in the premium shop for a very long time - the closet you can get is to keep the silver equivalent in your collection.

The following is a video that hows you how to enable battle replays by Jingles. It just needs some text editing of a file - before you do any editing I'd suggest taking a backup copy of the files into a different folder/location just in case it all goes horribly wrong.

Yes, that happens for DDs but it's the same for any division - they usually start close together. I've been in game where there was a division of three top tier BBs - they all started close together and all went to one flank leaving some of the rest of us (me in a two tier lower BB and a CA and a DD on the other flank). I guess we should have lemminged with the rest of the team. However, if you division together you will want to play in proximity of each other (depending on classes - so a CV, BB and DD divison may want to be on one flank but at varying distance from the enemy). I don't know if it was a division of 3 DDs that they should have different spawns as if they were split they'd probably just spend time grouping up anyway.

I'd raise a support ticket and try and chase what has happened to your purchase - I'm not sure if there can be a delay with PayPal or not as i use a credit card. There may be a delay of a day or two before they respond although this may not be the case as it's a financial transaction. If you just cancel the transaction there may be implications (not very nice ones). I think some people did this on WoT a number of years ago and they lost access to their account.

The button itself did not appear on the web page until after 10am this morning (not that with the numbers in-game at that time you would want to play).

If you had mods installed did you just try and reinstall them after the patch? I did that once with Aslain's mod pack and ignored the warning that the mod pack was out of date and the game just kept crashing - the only solution that worked for me was to uninstall/reinstall from scratch. The Aslain's mod pack does warn you if there is more recent mod pack out.
