PSA: 1 Day premium code: WOTVALENTANK
BrusilovX replied to black_falcon120's topic in General Discussion
Thanks - just entered it and got the premium time added. -
I've been in battles recently in a T8 BB and there were no T9 BBs but three or four TX BBs. The only other T8 ship in the game was the enemy BB. No, I don't claim that happens more than once in a blue moon but it does leave a mark......

miliards of XP and even more of them?
BrusilovX replied to remenberMYname's topic in General Discussion
Except in WoT there is no easily obtained completely trained crew skill in that each crewman is trained seperatley and each can have is it 5 skills and each higher skill gained took an exponential amount of XP to unlock. The single crew in WoWS that is limited to Level 19 is a lot simpler than the WoT model. I must admit that I liked the ability to make a 'silver' vehicle elite and then put a part of the XP into training though. It was possible to not have large amounts of XP tied up on each vehicle and it did not need gold/dubloons to move it. Edited: I think the lowest skilled crewman gained the XP from the battle. -
1. Range is relative. If the range is reduced players will still be 'at the back camping'. The only way to 'get up close and personal' would be prior to gunpowder. 2. Lighting as an effect would be OK. I doubt that the game engine let alone the players would handle the 5-6 metre waves. 3. As others have posted crew members would be few above board (AA members) and most would be wearing some sort of 'flash' gear. Having people on board may mean the game would have a higher rating which could hit the player base. In the port would be OK. 4. Make it an option rather than compulsory. Well, WG have the basic of a WWI game already - just need more ships to 'flesh out' the lower tiers. Don't forget that is just a movie. I presume no matter how graphic the violence is it pales in comparison to reality.

Flag to remove risk of mag detonation, is it only 99%
BrusilovX replied to Ronin_Cahill's topic in General Discussion
So, you're struggling to understand the difference between 100% and 99%? I'll give you a hint - 100% means it (detonation) will definitely not happen while 99% means there is a slim chance that it will I never mentioned competitively and neither had you until this point. In competitive battle (ranked or clan wars) then it's compulsory. -

BrusilovX replied to Ronin_Cahill's topic in General Discussion
So a DD would not detonate? Personally, I only run them on high tier DDs or one's that will be shot at a lot (so, mainly not IJN DDs). -

Otherwise it' use would be compulsory. -
Operations - Newport baswe defence - an nightmare !

I think it's more the CV change in 0.8.0 rather than anything else. -
PSA: Wichita in shop today, but nerfed version
BrusilovX replied to __Helmut_Kohl__'s topic in General Discussion
Such a ship does not appeal to be good for WG sales and I don't mean that it has to be OP to sell. Maybe, later after it gets a buff but the that would, probably, mean less sales. At least at the moment this ship doesn't look like they want to nerf it after a long time. -

Look on the bright side - at least you can save something on the full price... :) I'm still not tempted by it though. -

I see the price at £35.07 which is discounted from £35.67. Needless to say - I'm not tempted. -
It's one of those 'contests' where you need to go to a web page and click on 'participate'. https://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/community/flying-the-flag/

I know that WoWS has some graphical glitches for some of the missions - sometimes you find old missions are available but a close down and relaunch sorts them out. I played the game for a few hours earlier today and then took a break. Before I left I opened another of the daily containers and it was a SuperContainer. I got 15K coal. There were no more containers available. I had closed the game down completely and just relaunched it at least 30 minutes later only to find that I had the same container available (the one opened for 12,500 XP). It turned out to be another SuperContainer this time with 50K free XP. From what I can tell I still have the 15K coal and the Free XP has indeed increased by 50K. The notification for the SuperContainer contains at the bottom 'obtained for 10,500'. Has anyone else had anything like this happen? I'm 100% sure that I opened the first container as well.

I agree with that and did suggest it in another thread. -
Not everyone is a paying customer although I have no idea how many players use premium or how often. I would think that a better way to approach this testing on the live servers would be to offer all players premium for the period of the test. If a player already had premium it could be extended by the period of the test. While the CV rework is continuing to be tested the free captain respec should be extended to cover the whole period of the test.
-
Yes, it's fun and engaging... not. Makes me wonder how good their Excel skills are or has someone been tampering with the data.
-
But the evidence over time is that WG will ignore some results from testing and implement a ship anyway (then either decide to withdraw it from sale (after the money has rolled in) or contemplate changing the ship (GC)). I ran into one of those CVs yesterday in a random battle in my Amagi and they were able to launch 6x2 torp attacks in a very shot time. So short that it was difficult to keep the correct AA sector and dodge the torps at the same time and also try and not offer a broadside. At the moment I rarely take any DDs T8 and over into battle.

What is the easiest way to farm planes?
BrusilovX replied to black_falcon120's topic in General Discussion
Prior to the hotfix I managd 24 planes shot down in a battle. I messed up the Defensive AA a few times and on the replay I ca see that I did not set the AA sectors very well Mind you in that battle the T6 IJN CV deiced they were going to mess with my battle and continually attacked me. I was almost constant spotted and was having to avoid enemy fire. I did manage to fire a set of torps but never got in a position to fire my guns. After the hotfix I mananged 41 kills in my Amagi But there are battles with no CVs and it's up to them to decide who is the target for that battle. -
As has already been posted some countries don't allow certain images in-game which is why some flags will be excluded. However, there are some mods in Aslain's Mod Pack that allow the correct flags to be shown. I presume that other player's may not see them but at least you can

I must know WG too well...
BrusilovX replied to DDMafiaAssociateMember's topic in General Discussion
I guess they see BBs as their main player base. -
I have all these ships and I bought them with real money. Apart from the Kamikzes (total of 583 battles) I don't play them that often. I have 57 in the Gulio, 10 in the Belfast, 36 in the Kutazov and 24 in the Missouri.

[ poll ] Giulio Cesare, you want her to stay in T5 or move to T6?
BrusilovX replied to elblancogringo's topic in General Discussion
This is one of the points that iChase makes in this video (don't use stats from pre CV rework to change ships post CV rework); -
iChase has some good observations on this (why balance a ship using stats from pre-CV rework is one such observation):

Possibility to surrender to end match quicker
BrusilovX replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
While it may end the game sooner you would be denying the enemy ships the chance to do more damage (assuming that the last ship was found and in range of someone) so more credits and XP. I'd prefer more credits and XP to be honest rather than finishing a battle a minute or two earlier. -
Please fix game before introducing more stuff
BrusilovX replied to Deathadder_61's topic in General Discussion
Maybe if WG were to add a feature like 'buy any number of dubloons' for each flag? It could even be used in place of the 'buy a single flag' option (I've not checked to see if it's there). I'd always assumed that there was an 'economy of scale' i.e. buying more gave a per unit cost reduction compared to buying the same number of flags but one at a time.
