I'd suggest if you're interested in a specific ship buy that from the premium shop directly even if not on sale (or wait for a sale event) rather than gamble to get it. After all you could end up with a ship you don't enjoy playing. If you're looking for a BB then the Scharnhorst (T7) or Tirpitz (T8) are decent choices. If you're interested in the IJN line then the Kii may be the one you want. If you want to go up the USA Line look for the Alabama - there is the Massachusetts but that needs a commander with different skills (mainly secondary gun skills) than the rest of the line. The Lenin is OK for the Russian line even if it does look like someone took a bite out of the rear.

The first DD line I completed was the IJN line with the Shimakaze - I was a bit underwhelemed to be honest. While the IJN torps may be hard hitting you may have trouble with gun boats and IJN aren't the fastest but they are stealthly (although some lines are getting close to the same concealment). I really liked the Lightning in the GB line and only sold it to get the Jutland because i had the Cossack. I've only got to the Gadja Mahda in the SEA line - the lack of torps against other DDs puts me off. I have the Benson unlocked in the USA line, the Grozovoi and Kiev in the Russian line and the Z-23 in the German line.

Thanks for posting this - it's very interesting and something I had not thought about - it's a game and not a simulator after all.

I've managed to 5 star it in the past playing solo with random team mates but it's one of the operation that I usually avoid now-a-days.

CV rework is still WIP so it's really anyone's guess as to the impact of the next balancing.

We can only ask. Sometimes players do post replays - sometimes they don't think it will help.

Post a battle replay - someone may be able to suggest something from watching it.

As others have posted - your torps your responsibility. I find the worst offenders for friendly torps are the cruisers on the team usually fired from the second line. There have been times that as a DD I've had to take evasive action but that can lead you to make a bigger target for the enemy. I will try and avoid them but it usually forces me to get into situations that I did not need to be in.

Look up 'internet trolls'. There are many people out there that claim something has happened when it may be a misunderstanding of what happened or simply someone trying to get attention. A replay may help others spot what has happened. Have you done what Crysantos suggested? (see post #6 in this thread).

No matter how deserving the player is - posting images where the other players can be identified breaks forum rules which is the case for all the forums I've ever posted on. I think part of the reason for this rule is to prevent players posting doctored images revealing other players in a bad way - I'm sure it's happened in the past. Having said that I have no problem with players posting replays elsewhere. I refer to Claus Kellerman's [edited] of the Week series: I think Jingles used to post similar videos. Edited: Changed the video to the correct one.

You should edit the image so we can't see who sent you the message. It's about 'naming and shaming'.

There may be a better (or a preferred) ship to get in a container - by selling the ship you reduce the chance of getting one of those ships.

Yes, I once did that to the Krasny and in the next supercontainer it came back like the proverbial bad penny.

Somebody somewhere has a 'vision' of what game they want to deliver and will do so regardless of what the player base wants - I presume the assumption is that WG always thinks there are more players out there to attract to their game if they added some game features. One way to look at is if they introduced the paragon system it probably opens up revenue streams of players who don't have the time to do the extra grinds and want them sped up in some way - assuming those players are not lost to the game.

I listened to the Q&A when one of the presenters reacted to a guest pointing out that this would increase imbalance when the presenter said that there is already an imbalance- a player with a 19 point captain would have an advantage over another player with a zero point captain. They simply ignored that the paragons would increase the gap. That must have been some party for someone to think that paragons were a good idea.

Yes, but I think that kind of behaviour is in WoWS at the moment. I've seen so many BBs camp behind islands and not do their job in-game (I'm sure each class has it's own 'bad plays' - I hate DDs that smoke up and rely on the CA/CLs to spot for them (no longer spotting for the team)).

Exactly - the word 'every' has been misused here. Mind you it's funny that the Russians gained the ability to have a second flag before the Germans - even though the German tech tree (BBs, CAs and DDs) was in place a long time ago.
