That would be logical but we're referring to WG. Spreadsheet show you don't need Orkan for the 2nd set of missions (even though there is a specific task in which it can be used)...... We all know how omnipotent the spreadsheet is.

i'd heard that it was going to be released in late April - but with it being used in the 2nd set of missions that it may be released today (it wasn't) or tomorrow (Friday). But with WG's logic it will, probably, be released on the 1st May 2020.

I had to look that up - I was never into Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - I did watch the movie once but that didn't help. The 1980s and 1990s were my 'drinking years'.......

If you are after a DD then I'd suggest the Cossack. However as has already been mentioned the eventual release of submarines will, I think, put even more demand on DDs. A lot depends on if you want the premium just for the credits or for training your captains. If you're going to buy a premium ship getting one that is fun to play should be fairly important. The Scharnhorst or Tirpitz fit that bill for me - the secondary builds are different.

This has always been the case though when there are such objectives.

Not only is the new campaign limited to 6 months 3 days (when it was released) the second mission won't start for another 2 days (with one of the tasks using the Orkan I guess we know when that will liekly to be released). So, it seems WG Wants us to play when it suits them and not us (some of us are working from home so we don't have unlimited time to spend on WoWS). With the other events going on CB etc there should be some flexibility to allow players to play what they want WG want. It's almost as if we're living in 1984 (the George Orwell novel not the year) and the thought police will be out to get us.

The classic is when a ship with short range torps starts firing them (on cooldown) from the time they spawn - so there is no way that they could have been firing at the enemy. Either a special player or a bad BOT.

OP - post some replays and some experienced cruiser players may be able to offer some suggestions.

I've had comments in port after a battle from player telling me what I should have done in the battle and they sometimes comment on my 48% WR. More often than not these players have hidden stats - which just gets the reply - 'hidden stats - you must be a window licker'.

For me it's usually a cruiser that does the torping from the 2nd line - quite often from 3x the distance that their torps will run for, I've been in battles where our one top tier just drives into the sea and drowns. I saw battles where the team I was on was given a 10% chance to win and we ended up steam rollering the enemy (not that I'm claiming it was me that made the difference). I think XVM was based on the overall stats rather than how that player is in the type of vehicle and tier.

I would think that if players could see the stats (like could be done with XVM in WoT) then the opposite would be the case - players picking on the 'special/challenged' players.

I had some problems last week and I downloaded ping plotter - it was a server along the line to the WG EU server. I've read that with the volume of people staying at home the demand on the internet/broadband is very high which can lead to some issues (I believe Netflix are broadcasting at a lower resolution as part of this). I've done that in the past only to not notice that everyone else has run off behind an island leaving me to 'spot' for the team for a while.

Came here to post similar. I don't know why there is only a six month period to do this campaign (WG reasons) but the fact the subsequent task does not unlock util a set time is silly. I've not seen this in any other campaign so far. Edited: It also means that it's not worth starting another campaign task as I need the slot in three days time.

I recall various missions with '"spot 'n' ships in one battle" or a number of battles which lead to a number of yolos in-game (not just DDs). I don't think I've seen such a mission since the CV re-release but I may be wrong on that.

Whenever there is a task in a campaign or mission gameplay suffers - not that it isn't suffering anyway. It's always been like this.

Not to mention players who go AFK in battle because they are eating breakfast......

Radar is part of the game although at times it can be a real plain to handle especially if your team is all behind islands and can't fire at what the DDs spot. Having it unable to go through islands would help though. I presume it's too complex for WG to code though.

You can buy premiums ships through the Premium Shop for someone else as a gift but that's it. Even if you don't enjoy CVs or DDs I'd suggest playing them to get an idea of what they can do. It may give you some ideas on how to make their task harder when hunting a BB or CA.

If a coupon was sued it would be easy to limit the purchase to one but where there is no coupon being used it would be a QoL change to allow multiple purchases. That should keep everyone happy.

Clearly selling 'space sets' is far more important........

While the Anshan is a nice DD the problem is that while the tech tree line uses DWTs the Anshan and Lo Yang have standard torps. Because of that the play style may be different and the commanders may want to be set up with different skills.
