You can use the Windows Event Viewer app to try and identify what went wrong. It can be a bit tricky to use as there are lots of warnings etc generated by Windows. It helps to now the times of the various failures. In the past I've seen failures in the GPU for instance. This is an introduction on it;

I agree about RL/RPF - it's a good skill to have on a DD especially if the turrets don't rotate fast. Back in the days I played randoms I was also able to get a few torp strikes in when the enemy DD wasn't spotted and wasn't in smoke.

I try to only be the grammar police to those who point out that other's English is poor but demonstrate their own shortcomings at the same time. I work in IT and there are many non English speakers in the teams I've worked in. I hope I know how to behave in those circumstances (I was working with some Polish guys and they tried to get me to attempt to say one of their surnames only having seem it in writing - my first though was "are you missing a few vowels?").

I think it may be more that WG thinks (or knows) that some of the 'members' use real money for various reasons so they ignore the botting. When players see or think they see players botting it tends to upset them (almost as bad as leeching (BBs going and hiding behind a big island from the start of the battle).

Had a second battle yesterday and they actually started to move forward (I did drag the enemy BOTs towards it which did trigger the movement). I must admit that I did let everyone know what to expect from them at the start of the battle.

My first gaming machine was a ColecoVision as well.

Maybe you paid too much for the PC? You could post the specs (CPU, memory, GPU etc) so we may have an idea what you're running the game on (and what settings you've used). Did you install the game in your program files folder (if you have a 64bit system you will have two of those); Edited: I bought a PC for £3000 back in the mid 2000s and it was a piece of crap (I bought it from a PC specialist). It had a decent CPU and one of the top range nVidia GPUs including a SSD yet it could not run anything for long without overheating. With some help I was able to identify that the idiots that built it had overclocked the PC to death - overclocking was never asked for and the company denied doing so. I had to pay to send it back and a few months later it was returned and it still could not be used. I ended up scrapping it - using the SSD and GPU for a PC I sourced from Dell (should have done that in the first place).

Yes, they must be using cheats if they know where to find them. Doesn't your post count as a 'name and shame' as you've identified a cheater? :)

I was reading through some of these posts today and just had a battle where one of the CLAWS bots was in the battle in an Amagi. It was on the other flank to myself but I did notice on the mini map that it was 'holding back' a bit. They managed to do 0 in the battle but did sink one of the bots on the other side.

They may just be internet trolls.

I like running Radio Location (used to be called RPF) on my DDs this should give you advanced warning of the direction of the closest enemy. Keep in mind if several enemy ships are near and approaching from different directions the RL indicator may change direction rapidly. As others have stated - it helps to have support. If all your BBs and Cruisers are hiding behind big islands ask them for support and if they don't respond get out of the area.

If you join a clan I'd suggest playing at least a few random battles in a division with your clan mates as it really can be a lot more enjoyable that way. As others have posted - depending upon how far the clan has built up it's base the rewards are better.

Well done - you've completely ignored the fact that I explained how sometimes the game will cause you to miss the target - the shells falling short bug to mention one. I guess you have trouble reading and understanding. Clearly, some players are so up themselves that they ignore the obvious.
