Yes, same here. Our CLAN is trying to play Naval Battles but we're being prevented from doing so because of this 'minor' problem. For those that have managed to turn on Naval Battles I presume any battle done while the Web Server is down will not count for Naval Battles?

Yes, I just had one battle and it's down again! it does seem to be "up and down like a bride's nightie"...........

I've seen that recently as well. There are times when I don't see the result screen and am returned to the dock. Usually, it's possible to look at the results but there have been a few occasions where that is not possible (I presume due to a server swap?). Edit: I can't get into Naval Battles again.

i just got into the clan page and then the Naval Battles. I expect it to glitch again though. Edited: It s showing double the attempts than I've actually taken so it's still not stable.

I think when there were less ships in lines (IJN with one one DD line) and credits/XP harder to get I used the TV ships to train captains so I would get two double XP rounds per day. I still play them every now and then for some of the missions (use a DD to cause flooding or fire). Realistically, they are mainly for snowflake events now-a-days. Don't forget there are still new players joining the game - would you prefer them to buy a TV or a TVIII and above?

In CB it's always strange to see players with hire ships - usually they won't have decent captains and who knows if they have any equipment mounted on them (I've never used one in CB so I don't know if they have equipment mounted by default or not).

As an IT professional I must express surprise that no one thought to test the shallows that were created. Any professional IT developer would have thought to have done this. When we add code or functionality to a system we do our best to 'break it' by running various tests in an organized fashion.

If it was a general problem with the server then there would be more people posting about it. When there is a general problem with the server there are usually several threads started. There is something in your setup that is causing this. I'd suggest contacting support about your connection problems. It may take a while but they may be able to help you determine the cause of the problem. They have some software for you to run as well. I've used it in the past and they've helped me resolve the issue.

I think there are different 'clusters' in the network so it's possible that some players have connection issues and others don't.

I used to play operations on a semi-regular basis mainly Cherry Blossum, Narai(?) and the Dunkirk one. Most of the operations were removed 'due to the CV rework' but have yet to reappear in any form. Narai returned but a mixture of AI path finding (rumours were that this was caused by a 'fix' to the CV auto pilot) meant it was removed only to return with less rewards. WG have stated that operations are not popular. In order to prove this they are doing their level best to make it so. I'm sure there is some messed up logic there (not on my behalf).

Those circles mean that the enemy shoots at you if you are in them (if they are watching).

But you can spot these bots as they have similar style names to the bots on the enemy side (I think the name starts with a colon (:) or semi-colon (;) and are names of famous admirals. There are players who use bots - I think the CLAWS clan are all bots and you can see that when they are on your team in co-op (they don't even division up).

Personally, I find cruiser players far worse for letting off torps. Just the other day one set off two salvos that went either side of my DD and I had no option to continue straight towards an enemy ship. In DDs I've been sunk by our own cruisers setting off torps from behind an island in the direction I've been heading towards.

With long range torps you just have to be more careful if firing them anywhere in the direction of your team mates. As other have posted "your torps, your fault'. I had a player in a DD the other day on the team and they hit a friendly BB and started to abuse them in chat. I think the BB turned (I guess the DD player was only used to BBs sailing in straight lines). I responded with 'your torps your fault' and got reported by the idiot in the DD.

I've also had tickets answered about someone else's ticket. Each time I did go back and point out what they had done - in most businesses this would be seen as a failure as they could have revealed some personal information on one customer to someone else. I don't think I've raised a ticket for a while so I can't help on the change in attitude. I can honestly say I've never been told that they will take action against the other player - I don't expect to hear that either. I do know they've been pushing the "automated system handles this" for a long time. I think that really only catches players who only ever grief without having 'good behaviour' periods (which seems to 'reset' the bad behaviour). Back in the days of WoT I used to report and supply replays of players going AFK on purpose (I got called to lunch) and for weeks afterwards you could see the player stats showing they continued to play with the same appalling battle statistics (damage wise).
