We don't 'know' he doesn't have one..... chances are high but it's not a sure thing.... Best way to throw away a discussion is to resort to name calling.. Yep.. business as usual on the WG forums.....Kids these days have little in the way of social interaction skills, what you have either ignored or missed, is the fact that we are agreeing with you, but with a slightly differing point of view.... the finer nuances of the 'conversation' seem to have been coloured by your anger... -

read the post above and you will see why a lot of MK owners are arguing AGAINST the range extension.... NO cruiser with 6 inch guns should be firing at [in game] ranges of above 15KM which in real world money is around 28KM.... cruisers NEED to be used as a jack of all trades, 1st priority (USN) AAA cover,(IJN) DD hunting, Second priority as hard counter to cruisers.... NOT sitting back a la Mogami, rapid firing 9000 shells at 19KM...... -

See this is EXACTLY what I mean, range only means something, if you are just going to sit back and spam HE, watch the video below and see how many times I fired at ranges in excess of 15 KM and also watch carefully the Ammo selection as ALL incoming fire from enemy cruisers was HE at no point did anybody fire AP (even when presented a broadside)...whereas I constantly rotate ammo types dependent on angle of ships etc... the mindset is [with the majority] of cruiser players to fire HE, usually at silly ranges and when you do as I did and SUPPORT DD's at sensible ranges, using cover where possible, any ship can be OP..... -

The biggest problem we have in this game is not XYZ is OP/UP... it is that the class roles are NOT being played correctly, and maybe the 0.5.3 patch will rectify 'some' of this.... Let me explain.... from early in development, WG have ALWAYS stated that this is a Rock/Paper/Scissors type of game.... Destroyers are scouts, and Battleship Hard counter (and as proven at T9/10 do this job VERY well), Cruisers are Destroyer hunters and Hard counter to Airpower/ other cruisers, Battleships are there to 'tank damage and as a Hard Counter to the Cruisers, Carriers are Scouts and a Hard Counter to [either] Airpower (USN) or Battleships (IJN).... As the game is currently played, Cruisers spend 90% of their time firing long ranged HE salvoes at slow moving targets (BB anyone) with the hope of getting a few hits and setting fire to said slow moving ship, it is the PLAYERS who have broken the game balance so badly by not playing in the 'spirit' in which the game was designed, CV nerfs, were a reaction to this originally, and now the cruisers are being hit hard with balancing, to help to bring them back to what was intended in the first place... -

All cruisers SHOULD have smoke IMO, Kutuzov is more flexible because of it, however she really does need it as base camo is 14.9KM and then a 5km firing penalty, so she cannot fire at any range without being spotted, smoke alleviates this to a degree, however IJN cruisers have MUCH lower base camo, and lower penalties upon firing so ARE able, even post AFT removal, to fire unspotted (statistically)... Have you tried, the aforementioned ships, Mogami, Pensacola, etc etc? If you told us that you did already, then it must only have been on the PT server buddy....this picture shows your ships that you have played, don't know if WG are witholding your information more than others but I can't see Myoko, Pensacola, Cleveland, Mogami.... or, for that matter, any cruiser above Tier 5..... but maybe I am missing something vital here..... The actual numbers of players who attend the forums are around 10% (or less) of the whole game population, many people will post rage/nerf/buff stuff on the forums, without having first hand knowlege of the ships in question, WG have the stats, from 4 servers, and ALL players and balance accordingly.... with the sheer amount of whining that goes on (from a small % of the overall population) is there any wonder that WG do not take too much notice of us forumites. References have been made (in many threads) about how the devs 'listen' to the RU forums, main reason for that I can only assume is that a far larger % of the total population are active on the RU forums, a more 'common' language is quite possibly the answer to that one, as on EU server we have many differing languages, but only a limited number of languages available.... NOT everyone has enough confidence in their ability to interact in English, and many who do, are shot down when their attempts are not awesome.... @Kazmir.... play the ships before you comment too hard on them play 50 games or so as you NEED experience in something to make an objective assessment of the ship in question, currently your information is gleaned from statistical sources, ie paper stats etc, and are thus not really useful to those making the decisions.... -

Actually Cleveland has the most awkward to hit citadel areas of any of the cruisers, penetrating hits, Yes, Citadels rare as hell matey.... maybe 3 pens feels like a citadel, but a citadel it probably isn't TBH, Pensacola, Nuremburg, Kutuzov, Atlanta, Aoba.... Citadel quite easily, Cleveland not so much... -
well hopefully the worst vagaries of the seal clubbing trend may finally be addressed with 0.5.3 so hopefully we will no longer have the phenomenon of seals being abused... the complex missions like ARP, Emden and Kamikaze have been good fun, and the ongoing rewards structure meant that even those who were never going to get the ship had a decent amount of prizes just for playing well while involved.... More of these style of missions is the order of the day, but I would begin to limit the number of 'specialist' subsets (fires set, numbers of kills etc) and work on a damage model, cause XYZ by fire, to class etc etc... but all in all well done WG for a well executed and non toxic mission set !

Carrier Gameplay - Make it more Strategy, less Action

{Disclaimer} THis post is from a very infrequent carrier player ! Funnily enough, few of us were chewing over the carrier game last night and I was going to post some of the 'suggestions', did an unusual thing (for most forumites) and did a search, THIS gem of a post popped up ! We were chatting about the Independence at the time and how it is very good at Countering enemy airpower, but that when there are few planes left, all there is left to do... which is probably THE most important job, is using your fighters to spot DD, scout for enemy ships etc etc... People have left carriers in their droves because the 'balancing' has been too harsh, mirror, was perhaps the worst choice for WG to make, but in the early stages of OBT / Live, the very experienced Carrier players from CBT etc, were able to blow very quickly up through the carrier tiers, meaning at most times they were at the peak of the [community] progress curve, often being the only carrier or being 2 tiers higher than the enemy one etc etc.... this skewed the statistics for WG who then hit the whole class really hard with the nerf hammer... As it stands early USN carriers are not that interesting to play, strike loadouts just don't work , and with the mirror there is just constant equilibrium, affected mainly by RNG.... the 5th Captain skill makes the USN option harder still as a 25% increase in plane numbers to a fighter squadron in IJN then turns the number advantage back to the IJN, who also have more flexible strike/ mixed loadouts... Anyway that wasn't my point, my interest was piqued when one of my buddies suggested that he uses his planes for spotting ships but that there is no reward for doing so...I replied with "well its probably the most important thing a carrier can do, and when done well is devastating to the enemy"... then how do you 'fix' carriers to make people want to play them while the game XP/Credit wise, is weighted so heavily to ship damage caused? Spotting damage, like in WoT, the spotter gets a share of the 'damage' caused by the firing vessels, same goes for DD spotting is their most important job too...so leave the carriers where they are in the current power levels, but include simple damage sharing algorithms....so those who are happy to play a supporting role are well rewarded for that role.... Seems pretty simple to us and hope that it does to others as well. I am guessing that there is a glaring hole in this theory, that we have patently missed and am hoping that some of the more ' hardcore' carrier players could maybe help to fill those in for us. please don't kill carriers in game, they are annoying as hell when they execute that perfect manual TB run and make you grate your teeth in frustration as a DD when fighters perma spot you , but the game really does not work without them. every rock needs a stone at some point so maybe this is a consideration... thanks -

Absolutely agree that Mogami should get its' 27KM gun range..... but that Amagi get its' 37.9KM gun range in the same patch? The turrets aboard the Nagato-class ships were replaced in the mid-1930s, using the turrets stored from the unfinished Tosa-class battleships.[5] While in storage the turrets were modified to increase their range of elevation to –3°/+43°, which gave them a maximum range of 37,900 meters (41,400 yd), and their firing cycle was reduced to 21.5 seconds. Amagi is (in game) set at 52.5% of its' real world range so based on those calculations, for fairness sake, Mogami should be 14.4KM at most,but it has in fact 15.1KM. The ranges have been 'adjusted', as has been explained before "for gaming purposes" as the maps are not big enough to run to those real world ranges, also if you notice your ships actually cover around twice the distance that they would if the speeds were also 'correct'.... Yes Mogami is getting a nerf, but TBH having 18.2 KM on a rapid fire ship, with MUCH better dispersion characteristics, against 19.9Km on a ship with 1/3rd the rate of fire and MUCH worse dispersion characteristics, is a bit.... silly...as this would equate to a 6 inch shell travelling nearly 34.7KM, which is all but impossible... As for the Kutuzov, I own her, I love her, I have a Captain with AFT, I personally dislike the whole sitting back at 19KM and attempting to get the odd hit in and prefer much closer ranges, as the AP rounds are devastating at 8 to 12KM, I believe that the same 'nerf' SHOULD apply to her as to the Mogami. Her range is just fine as intended, leave out the extra range, it is really quite pointless. WG just do the 'right thing' and remove AFT bonus for all main batteries (as was in original version) and make it apply to secondaries and AAA only. Give the DD's something else if needed, a skill particular to that class maybe, but being able to 'artificially' push a ships range out beyond what it should be is... silly. -

You can understand the language better than me, let someone who is fluent do it...course, as you posted within the polish thread, you are going to have to go back and change a few things, but fear not have whole thread saved and already sent to support with explanation about our part in the incident along with YOUR part in the poison on the forums.

Have been onto the thread within the Polish forums, and have screen shot all the posts made by the guys on there, including that in which KptS... and Hajli plot the 'trolling attack' along with the section where Hajli congratulates himself for a successful operation with his mismatched division.... I think that there needs to be tighter moderation on their channels as in one poster congratulates himself in his success at 'destroying' a 'foreign' clan..... have saved screens for the whole thread and will happily post it to someone who can translate it properly.... Our actions WERE wrong, but the pre-planned co-ordinated attack on our recruitment thread, along with the 'suspicious' looking admission of a Fail division being used as a tool to 'cause' just such a reaction; must surely also be looked at closely. Google translate is a poor tool and I can only get the gist of the conversations, but hopefully someone who is fluent in the language would be able to translate it better.... have sent the whole thread as it stands to support for a decision... I am well aware that I will face an in game ban period and for the destruction of a team mate this is to be expected, however the blatant attempt to cause unrest in game and in forums MUST be addressed, and those involved taken to task.... Anyone speak polish and want to see what a piece of faeces you are 'entertaining'.....

Well not that anyone knows of... you just instigated a witch hunt against all forum rules, in your little group safely hidden away where no one can watch you.... you are a self confessed 'king troll' and adore the adulation you get from your fellow trolls in destroying, strong word I know, but destroying an individual.
