This ^^^ and This again ^^^ Russian DD are more about picking your timing than anything else, dunno I quite like them, yes Gremlin is something 'special' but Ogre is very nice, turret layout is a bit of a pain, Kiev is just sublime to play, finally get those decent torps... then we have Tashkent.... biggest problem Tashkent has is being out gunned by Hatuharas', which for a Gunboat is a bit ummm... meh... but once again, pick your target and opportunity and any RU DD will shine... Have a fair few Gremlin Video's, and a few other RU DD ones, but this one has just become available ( 0.5.3.1) goes the full 20 mins unfortunately but you will get the general idea of Tashkent playstyle....

Now Nelson, we have had this conversation many times. The range means nothing, unless the player in the MK is a complete dipshit, the best range for MK is 12 km straight into side on Mogami who insist on going full broadside to spam HE and are so surprised to lose half their health to well aimed AP citadel volleys.... It is NOT the job of cruisers to sit 18 km away from the enemy spamming HE at Battleships , as happened constantly pre patch... But it IS the way they play them... If you are playing the MK at max range then you are doing your team mates a disservice, as it is an extraordinary DD hunter, Plane killer and (against morons) an outstanding cruiser killer...

What some people fail to understand is that the imperator and to a degree the Kutuzov were bought by people who often had a lot of games under their belts and a very highly skilled Russian captain to put in them... Tirpitz and Warspite were and are lone ships for a very long time.. Myogi and Wyoming are grinders a means to an end ...ie get through them to the next tier... if someone places an 18 skill captain and plays 300 odd games in the wyoming. He is going to be overperforming in contrast to the masses... how many people keep the wyoming as a keeper when there are much better ships up the line? Yes RU ships are very good but only if played well... Imperator straight lining still gets raped by destroyers and TB as well as anything else... its just that those that play them tend to have more... experience?

Ran it through my VPN server inHolland, ping went up 20ms, but lag was definitely reduced, however, biggest problem is that normal Web usage is terribly slow over VPN... max speeds on Speedtest.net around 10Mbps.... so 5% of my usual ....... now down to 3 days premium time, roughly 7 days wasted.... any way of getting this back from Wargaming?

Hi Psycd... with the steering thing, I have had similar from early BETA when you can happily steer always, but after you have been typing, or click on a target etc... 'sometimes' and only sometimes you have to double tap the direction key to get it moving again... may be a lag issue or just a glitch ... Could well be the infamous 'Lag' a lot of people are experiencing as it has multiple implications to view/spot etc Calm down a bit matey, you have asked for advice, sometimes the answers we get are not necessarily those which we had hoped, not your fault per se, just maybe the mechnics of the game are sometimes confusing to newer players... Smoke blocks view for BOTH parties 100% so if you have a North Carolina 'in smoke' 5 km away from you, he will be for all intents and purposes invisible, if YOU are in smoke you will be 100% invisible unless someone is within 2km, or they are running hydro acoustics, BUT there is a flipside, no one can see you but you CANNOT see out of your own smoke... so lets say you have another DD spotting said NC, he falls behind your smoke, or pops his own, neither of you will see the enemy and he will appear to disappear.... However with all the above comments, it does make you wonder how you managed to get to Tier 8 on the Destroyers, without (in the process) beginning to understand the most basic mechanic of playing the class.... viewing/spotting and smoke.... anyway Good luck and hope to meet you in game one day !

So, I have read many peoples opinions on various threads about why 'many' people (not all) are suffering 'issues' since the last patch... most replies tend to be along the lines of shitty internet (mine is really shitty 200 Mbps Vivid Fibre), shitty PC's... mine self built and faultless in every way (except WoWs Since the last patch), Windows updates (no idea why MS would choose to screw up ONE game only), Using Windows 10 (bad idea I use 7 Pro 64), out of date drivers (nope mine are kept up to date via guru3d as soon as they become available) or it's .............. So am told to do a full uninstall/reinstall (did that on patch day), don't run any mods (did that same issues) Unfortunately, my game sessions start as follows..... click the launcher, press play... splash screen comes up then black screen with white border... CTRL Alt Del to force WoWs to close... click on launcher, press play, get to login screen, click login aaaand.... Bong memory exception (aka BSOD)..... now here you have to log the user off to exit the game as error is behind WoWs on desktop and CTRL Alt Del doesn't work.... back in... click launcher, click play, log in and all is OK..... or so I think..... look at port, and carousel needs to be changed, so do that by clicking the box and wait, wait about 7 seconds then it happens, port is so laggy that to even do something as simple as changing a commander involves click, wait, click wait etc etc..... and why oh why is the port running my graphics card at 75% ? and that is on the open ocean port, Don't even get me started on Yokosuka ! So we click battle, and here RNG has its' first roll of the dice, sometimes it goes into game, sometimes you click on the enter battle button repeatedly and don't get in..... so Ctrl Alt Del, force close game, relaunch game etc etc and THEN you get into battle at about 18 mins.... from here on in game is laggy ping is 25 to 30 but rubber banding all over the place, then randomly BONG ! and freeze..... memory exception (AKA BSOD) CTRL Alt Del etc etc etc....... Sorry but when a 'supposed' Triple A title is as buggy as it is now, for as many people as it is, then there IS a problem, and to be honest THAT is the only reason that I have not yet topped up my Premium time (for the 1st time ever) as the game is not enjoyable under these circumstances. The totally random nature of the crashes, fails and resource handling makes it a lottery every time you click battle as to whether you are going to manage to stay in the battle for the entire duration.... so we finish the battle, finally and come back to port to see carousel is back in single line, and looky the temps on GFX are RISING in port above what they are while actually PLAYING !!! Rig as follows: i5 3570K ASRock Extreme 4 Mobo 16GB Corsair DDR3 Samsung 850 Evo SSD Corsair 1100w PSU AMD R9 380x 8GB Gfx (Crimson drivers) Auzentech X-Fi Prelude SoundCard All temps are low, except GfX when in port when they hit around 80 Degrees (65 when actually playing) So no it's not my equipment, software, ISP or ability, there is a fundamental flaw in the coding for this patch, which has, in my case, removed a long time paying customer from the developers bottom line, multiply THAT by the 90% of players who NEVER attend the forums and maybe WG have lost a few more 'habitual' payers... Come on WarGaming, get a grip on the issues with this patch before you drive people away to try either of the other 2 naval MMO's available RIGHT NOW !

Blimey you lot are hopeful...... RU Cruisers, KM Battleships, Maybe RN cruisers, maybe 2018 for RN carriers... by then the Swiss Navy will be in the game !

Have you considered that a vast number of people who play quite well are boycotting this pointless, toxic stat padders paradise ... By hiding their stats? So basically what you will be getting with your WTF rating is a snapshot of all the epeen merchants.. Who can talk smack to one another and leave those of us who just like to play alone.... I mean you could fit those turrets on a ship 1/2 the length and it would be as stable..... or lose the hangar which should be able to launch shedloads of planes and mount some weapons there...

Even in port on mine there is a very noticable delay when clicking on things.... and the black screen with white background that happens the first time you fire up the game is 'odd' too, seems you have to fire woWs up BEFORE anything else, no browser having run, no TS etc etc... 2nd time in it works then gets freeze at login..... have to reboot on that one as do ctrl/alt/delete, and you cant see task manager...... something very very broken with the patch... again !!
