Comments like this never fail to amaze me. Should a new guy dare to post a new thread on a given subject, thy are met with a wall of "search is your friend"... So what is so wrong with resurrecting an old thread about an ongoing problem, Rather than beginning a new one? How about you quit being such a douche and actually try to be constructive and maybe help out the guy. These lag issues generally seem to arise when the PT is up and running... Insert general anti WG conspiracy theory of choice...

So I bought the Scharnhorst a week ago.... only to find out it is reduced by 15%..... funny how much more money we spend WITHOUT A FECKING CALENDAR !!!!!!!!

Am in Fletcher in smoke, enemy Blyskathing comes round corner I drop one set torps dead on all 5 hit... Awesome eh? Not so awesome, he aint dead... he drops his torps and I drop second set of 5 he hits me with one and boom, I hit him with one and boom! Yay but No..... 6 Torp hits and 6 floods for a total of 9k damage which was actually done by last torp..........So it seems 5 of my torps penetrated the hull (flooding) but failed to make big bang......

Having been around for quite a while since Alpha for WoT and Beta for WoWs, I am continually amazed at the Wargaming Forums. Are these forums just a place to go to vent when you have had a run of bad games, a place to ridicule and belittle / destroy completely a variety of people... or are they a place for sharing knowlege and understanding of the game mechanics/ news/ updates etc etc? seemingly often the former and rarely the latter... Earlier today I got a PM from a long time forumite regarding a thread about this sort of issue, the level of toxicity, hatred and outright bullying that is taking place within these forums is currently unforgivable. There seems to be a particular 'clique' who are suppoed to be the link between devs and playerbase who do nothing but ridicule and pour scorn upon other players... you all know who you are. After a long and frankly awful set of exchages between this 'clique' and several public players the thread was heavily edited (finally) by the moderators and relegated to the trashcan archives. Seemingly there is a scism between the Mods/ Players which is getting wider by the day, fuelled and fanned by the Supertesters, when a leader of one of the most populous clans is openly insulted, ridiculed and defamed by a Supertest co ordinator then there is something seriously wrong with this community... the fact that they 'seem' to have the full support of the moderators is also somewhat worrisome. To Quote the final moderated post: "Previous topics on this matter have been closed due to certain forum members intending to cause disruption within the forum because they know how much such a controversial topic can cause trouble and get out of hand very quickly, as happened again in this topic. If you have any specific grievances about how the forum is run or the community team then please PM a member of the community team directly. During this entire thread there was only one person breaking any rules and he HAS NOT been sanctioned and indeed is still apparently a trusted member of the WG team Yes it would be nice if such topics could be discussed and debated in a constructive and civil manner but unfortunately there are too many members who take it just a bit too far and ruin it for the rest. Here again the derailment and uncivil behaviour was instigated and continued by one person As such, this thread and any other thread made of the same or similar topic matter will be closed because as has been shown, such a topic cannot be discussed without numerous forum rules being broken." I think that the best way we now have to begin to gain better treatment of the people who pay the wages around here are for those who are bothered, that we on the EU are treated as a cash cow, disregarded, left in the dark and generally treated like children... is to move onto social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and reddit and express our displeasure someplace where our voices will be heard, without abuse and childishness from these individuals.

have played 6k+ games and never really had the feeling that there was any form of hack / asistance in the game.... yes 'some' 3rd party mods (looking at Aslain) can be more helpful to getting that perfect shot (coloured forward/reverse indicators) but it is pretty low level as it stands. Aim assist may or may not be available... but to be honest a little common sense mixed with experience will generally make for excellent gaming companions rather than a dot telling you where to aim. However judging by the complete lack of Forum content about aim assist in the last few months one can come (pretty easily) to the conclusion that this particular issue had been shown the door.

Welcome to the madhouse forums, here you will meet a variety of characters, some great , some not so, some hilarious, some annoying.... but rest assured you will never have a dull day around here !!!

Excellent news that we have another community co ordinator who 'hopefully' will be willing/able to engage with the community on a fairly regular basis.

Good call Kurbain but I think you may have to re start the thread and ask everyone nicely to ONLY use it for Q and A not general chit chat, as Questions and answers are likely to get lost among all the congratulatory posts. Excellent idea BTW Also may I suggest getting a list together of those people who consider themselves an expert in particular areas who are willing to work via PM !

Couple of uses for an 'advisor' dropping friendly PM to people who are going a bit too far with posts, prior to a mass deletion and binning of threads... People who are happy to discuss mechanics without belittling the poster.. A halfway house between the PAYING customers and the developers, someone who will pass on the ideas and thoughts (if relevant) and is in a position to be able to say 'yep I passed that on'... whether WG actually do anything with that information is another question entirely, but just having someone to say simply... I will look into it is reassurance enough for a lot of people.... Supertesters being a bit more 'sympathetic' in their replies or maybe just NOT replying if they can't be constructive (disclaimer: Not all ST's by a long shot just a vocal minority) Surely this is the sort of job that Community Co Ordinators are paid for (co ordinate the community) or maybe they can be the sheriffs and get some Deputies to filter the relevant from the whining.....

So really most people are in agreement that what the EU forums need is a 'bridge' between Devs/Mods/STs and mere mortals.... What we DO NOT need is self appointed 'police' to derail threads that discuss anything they deem as wrong, but officially sanctioned 'advisors' for the community.

Nope it was 5 from 1st spread as I was hoping to save second bank of tubes for a local Bismark.... had to use second set after he launched his AFTER being hit by the five equally spread all along his hull.....

I remember back when Mr Conway and Ev1n first came on board, there was a real feeling that they were people that would be in touch a little hands on and approachable... but they seem to have gone the way of mods long gone and quietly slipped into the background. which is a shame really because they actually came across initially as being people who truly cared about the EU forum/server. How about giving it another try guys? What is needed here are several Community liaison entities... those who can pass on our ideas and thoughts to the devs and to chase up stuff like Calendars, events, competitions etc...

The NA server seems to run a different way as they do engage with their customer base. Quoted about mods as the other server mods DO NOT seems to have the same issues with position etc....

Point taken and edited.... However the particular individual does appear to be only around to cruise for a fight on the forums all the time. Some level of input from Devs maybe via mods or properly appointed player reps may be a better move, some of us (many more than expected probably) dont use social media for a variety of reasons and the 'Official in game forum' SHOULD be the go to place for News, advice etc. Not FB/TW/Reddit et al... Timely posting of Monthly calendars SHOULD be available BEFORE the end of the previous month, or just don't have one at all because late is invariably worse than not at all. Mods need to be more engaged not just popping in to red hammer threads, come and chat to your customers we can actually be quite nice at times. Also I think that it is about time that we lost all the player group tags, AT/BT/ST etc just 'player' would be better as it is just another method of measuring the size of ones ego...... no one really needs to know who was an AT/BT/ST as it makes no difference apart from formenting differences in conversations.

mtm... it isn't just THAT thread, there does seem to be a pattern emerging of a total lack of contact/info from Mods/Devs... when someone does ask why the thread is invariably derailed by a [edited] and then shut down by a mod when the discussion goes against said [edited] viewpoint. (edited after some thought) I did not see anything particularly wrong with the OP in the other thread UNTIL it was derailed by said simian.

Have re posted this post to reddit hopefully we can have a meaningful conversation without 'interference'
