Ranked season 6 is a mistake, with all the clans incoming a second season of Team battles would have been a better decision !

So we had a team in before the stated end time, now this is the first that we hear that a team has dropped out? Work it out FTD you are not thick mate. The issue here ONCE again is that we are expected to frequent external feeds to learn anything about this game whereas it should be the OFFICIAL WG FORUMS that get all information first !

So here we are again, unless we choose to disengage from the forums and use 'external' feeds then no one has a chance to get into these things. Sign up, end time was posted, teams did as instructed NOW we get told there were only 31 slots available and oh if you didnt sign up within the first hour or so then , basically its' our fault for being too slow. Now considering that the guys who took part in this 1st time round would have advanced notice then that basically means this whole debacle is a closed shop, sponsored by Wargaming. WP.

As the very proud and happy owner of the Imperator, I wondered if anyone else had the feeling that it should really go back to its' original +2/-1 Matchmaking and be moved out of the 'Protected' Tier 4 methodology it currently sits at. This would IMO improve game play enjoyment for people at T3 to 5 as the Imperator would be rarer in lower tiered games than in the current meta.

Thought I would leave it 24 hours for poll to 'mature' a bit, my personal opinion of Impregnator having played 500+ games in her, I have found myself playing it less and less since the move to 'protected' MM, reason being that it is much more fun murdering, Aoba, Buddy Holly, Nuremburgs and Fuso's than Caledons, South Carolinas Kuma or St Louis'......With a 10.7 KM camo rating, 14.3 KM laser guided guns she is much more comfortable when up tiered.... yes CV can be a problem at T6 but play sensible, keep a decent AA ship with you and nose onto the enemy and listen to the incessant ricochets.... run fire prevention skill and the worst issue with higher tiered Cruisers is mitigated.... I am one of those souls who regularly 'fail' divisions with Tier 5 team mates, but those games when you hit T7 opposition can be 'challenging' however Pensacolas, Belfast, Fiji and Schoors disappearing doesn't really ever get old ! Removing Protected MM would allow me to play as a single,in tiers 3 to 6, in the more fun battles without impacting too heavily on the newbies coming into the game !

It has been several patches since clan tags were introduced. WG are aware that the issue with tags and names in game is a problem, as you end up with [CLAN]Exa.......... A fix was promised but with the current ranked season all you see in team lists now is (rank sybol)[CLAN].... or if in enemy Team [CLAN]E... (rank Symbol) this makes identification of players totally impossible, please fix the fonts/ extend the character count as its just BLOODY STUPID!

Nelson, I seem to have the opposite experience to yours weird eh? 6 is definitely the happy spot for me.

Tier 6 even though it get +2 /-1 MM is a good place to be.... let me explain... Ships at T6 are more than able to deal with a large number of T8 enemy vessels, assuming you pick your fights with a little... umm... care. T6 we have ample DD able to deal with higher tiered ships, Cruisers with excellent camo and guns (looking at you Leander) Buddy Holly, Spee etc etc. Battleships.... this is where the goodness begins, Mighty Fuso very hapily take on USN BB upto T8, IJN upto T8 just avoid the KM unless you want to burn them down... Bayern excellent brawler even against T8 BB, Only place where MM REALLY screw T6 in CV... but who really cares about them anyway lol. Most of the time as bottom tier there will be maybe 1 or 2 8's a selection of 7's and another poor sucker in a 6. So seeing 5 through 8 is not a biggie for a decent player in a 6, whereas seeing 5 to 9 in a 7 is not necesssarily as clear cut. DD at 7 not yet able to mount concealment module, against enemy DD who can carry concealment Module, against cruisers at both 8 and 9 who have access to Radar etc also carriers carry more units as the tiers progress so more chance of being seen / nuked. Cruisers, some of the worst cruisers in game are to be found at T7, Pepsi, Yorck, Schorrs, Myoko. There is only one stand out at T7 (looking at you Fiji) Battleships, Nagato excellent at her tier but totally outclassed against 8/9, Colorado too slow and derpy out of her tier, Gneisenau/Scharnhorst are the exceptions here, mainly due to broken citadel mechanic and Torpedoes. Carriers, both weak out of tier, possible exception Saipan (in the hands of a good player) So yes, T6 is still the best place to play, good mix of newbies and clubbers, but having the tools to actually carry even as a bottom tier in many cases.

Looking at your stats, you seem to be a solid player, lower tiers are either populated by newbies who are learning the ships / game or seal clubbers (ahem) making life difficult for you. best bet is to get a nice solid T6 setup going and enjoy the T6/7 meta which is by far and away the best place to be in game currently !

@FTD .. I would change that or let people know it was irony/sarcasm intended.... Some people do not GET either concept..... Gunny... With you 100%... Bushwacker... Hit the nail on the head once more.... As a clan leader of 2 clan groups with 54 members, I can say with certainty that what the OP stated is in fact the polar opposite of what actually happens. Countin... See clan members on enemy/ friendly team.... Attempt (where possible) to link up with other division... Generally abuse the 'enemy' clan members in chat.... IF and I mean IF we remain in same channel in TS then the fun is in misdirection NOT helping the enemy.... Speaking in code, using division chat... Giggling like a fool when you take a clan mate down ( then feeling mildly guilty) and apologising for killing them. I personally enjoy count in sometimes but often I will count in as a single rather than in a division, both to show no favoritism and because I play better as a roving independent player. Best advice to OP is join a clan ... If you are not hellishly competition orientated then join a more social group like us or if you want hardcore give FTD a shout... But by NOT becoming part of a community YOU are actually missing out on a large and fun aspect of the game. Some of my members are people I have known now for many Years and I consider them as proper friends, some are newer but I would hope that they will become friends in the longer term too. Just think about one thing, you probably have Facebook, you possibly have many 'friends' on there, tell me how many of those could you speak to every day with them needing nothing else in return but to play a game with you and enjoy your company... How many FB friends can you say that about. Try a clan you won't regret it!

Most clan members have at least half a brain (unlike yourself) and would NOT wish to meet their clan mates in a ranked battle, for several reasons. 1) we are more aware of the skill levels of our members, thus are MUCH happier playing against uncoordinated tomatoes in ranked than against a potentially better opponent. 2) If we were to end up on opposite teams then one of us is going to lose a star, why take that chance to either lose one of take one from a friend? 3) the likelihood of the count working, as hoped for (ie both/all on same side) are minimal nowadays. Those morons crybabies players who scream cheat must be oblivious that clans have been around in the game since CBT, only now that we all have tags can you see us, count ins are as old as the game just you were blissfully unaware of it at the time. Ranked battles are not the most ideal place to do such count in for all the reasons given above, hence we have a dedicated Teamspeak channel, Ranked/Run solo, chat as you play ! The biggest (and most stupid) thing that has happened since clans were 'introduced' officially, is that they ( Wargaming) have chosen THIS time to bring back the most selfish, non co operative, most anti social aspect of this game (ie Ranked battles) where in fact they should have ridden the clan hype and brought back a season of team battles, to maximise the benefits of clan membership and to drive sales of clan tags (2500 Dub / per pop). THIS is the biggest error of judgment and missed opportunity from WG in quite some time !

If you are a 60 year old man then you 'should' obviously be able to understand the insulting manner in which you have treated 'other' clan players within this forum, don't like recieving insults? Hey guys, yes this 'bug' is still here... however there is a very easy fix to it. When a MAJOR patch occurs is when these issues become their worst.... I was having them until I made a very simple change, when there is a MAJOR patch.... uninstall game and do a CLEAN INSTALL then you will NEVER have these issues again !
