No more Mods after Patch 4.1 ?

Skins are already located in different folders than scripts and whatnot. It's not hard at all to put sensitive files in encrypted archives and leave the rest untouched. People here are just defending laziness.

    Lazy graphics

I read your stuff and it's all nonsense, and like I said it starts with "don't play", the typical fanboy response. "some people have crap PCs": what are graphic settings? just because pavel in siberia is playing WoWS on a win98 netbook doesn't mean the rest of the world should have the most awful anti aliasing "focus on gameplay": that would be an acceptable argument if the game had deep gameplay, but WASD and shoot is not a good enough reason to not work on graphics

    Lazy graphics

arguments were already presented, "counter arguments" are pretty much just "don't play" or "don't post". maybe you want to argue that anti aliasing in WoWS looks perfectly acceptable for a game released in 2015?

    Lazy graphics

    Silent Hunter 4 & 5 have visible crews and they're both PEGI12

Forum → General Discussion you can extend your logic to the point where everything is stupid and gamedevs shouldn't even have forums

    Lazy graphics

the game looks barely better than Silent Hunter 5, released in 2010. in fact it's worse in a lot of ways (terrible anti aliasing even on promo screenshots, [lack of] environmental effects) considering this and how poorly it runs it's hard to believe anyone would actually defend it, but I guess fanboys have no limits

No more Mods after Patch 4.1 ?

WG said nothing, they just put all the game files in archives that can't be opened by the users. and again, you can't get a mod approved if you can't access the files to begin with

No more Mods after Patch 4.1 ?

no they don't. War Thunder is supporting skins and there isn't any cheating issue in their game. the only reason for all modding to be removed is that WG is less competent than Gaijin

    good boy

    Skins for WoWS

maybe at some point, depends if they remove moddability in 4.1

No more Mods after Patch 4.1 ?

How will people like me be able to submit anything for approval if we can't even access the files to begin with? And even if that was somehow possible, you really expect WoWS EU team to handle daily mod requests efficiently? WoT has been moddable since day 1, modders shouldn't have to beg WG to edit a lifeboat skin in WoWS 5 years later. Just because some simpleton got RNG-killed from max range and is crying "CHEATS!!1" doesn't mean every single harmless file should be encrypted.
  12. I'm not losing anything, if anything you're the one who seem to be running with your fingers in your ears screaming "lalala it's their game they do what they want". Removing the ability to create custom content that is purely visual would be dumb, end of story.
  13. That's delusional at best. Anyone who wants to make a simple skin or port icon will have to contact WG first to get permission? Really? That's EA level of bad. And how would that even work? War Thunder was practically impossible to mod at first, but they listened to the players and made custom skins possible and are even hosting them: http://live.warthunder.com/ It would be stupid from WG to go the opposite way.
  14. Talking a lot of nonsense to defend a dumb and lazy way to prevent cheats. War Thunder doesn't have issues with cheats, yet they allow cosmetics mods and even support them quite actively. Wargaming should be capable to do the same.
  15. There's a lot of space between "allowing everything" and "allowing nothing".
