Just made few trainings, because of this. I suggest you do them in the current patch too, because the spotting distance for all 3 types was almost identical.

You are stuck in the last patch. Look at the Taiho results after the nerf and keep in mind that Taiho got 30% more firepower compared to Shokaku. If anything they will probably actually buff them again with their ammo, because we know IJN torps are better. They will even it out after they have their stats. There aren't many CVs around and it's easier to remember few names. I have my list of high tier CVs, but I never bothered looking at the BBs. Will be interesting if someone can show few good performing BBs. -
Yeah did 312K damage that game too, we killed the enemies Sorry for calling both of you campers, but when I looked on the minimap there were the 2 cruisers on B line near my CV with 2 enemy cruisers in the cap with all my planes on CD and I just saw a loss after good game, but luckily that was not the case. 10vs14 was not fair, but pretty funny and really close, good that I was able to fool their air superiority Essex and snipe him while his fighters were away

Why is the arming distance such a problem? 300m is pretty historical. Otherwise it would be too easy to evade if they set it to 600m for example. -

Well when I checked them to take the stats all betas had Essex and played it in the 0.3.1, so there is something to compare. But also in few cases it was only about big number of CV battles, not really great performance. -

They were nerfed enough to bring back the performance to more normal levels. The Taiho testers got the HAI (Hakuryu international airport) today so they probably won't generate more data about the Taiho, so I will show the current one I keep. The current results don't show real overperformance for tier IX. The first 2 don't have enough battles to make it meaningful, the next 2 are just very good and the rest clearly don't show overperformance, even buff can be needed PS: That's 27 names I know, there might be more testers I haven't found. -

The auto aim is with smaller spread now and you can still farm damage from the yolo BBs. it can be improved even further with faster torps or closer drop for auto attack. They don't want the skill we had last patches, because good CV could 1shot bad BB, while good BB could evade all torps from bad CV. The "yolo bobs" however are the majority of the community and pay a lot, so that has to be fixed. Good CV can't 1shot with torps even afk bad BB, while a bad CV can still score few torp hits, no matter how good you evade, simply, because of the spread. -
You squadrons are now composed of 5 planes (TBs are always 4) instead of 4.

You won't see such enemy every single game. You will see him once every 4-5 battles even after the release and that will be bad player, who you can nuke with so many bombers and score 150K damage after that, while the other battles would be with 300K damage. Once in a 100 battles you will see some good player trolling with fighters, because they will play the bombers the rest of the time. -

That would be the job after they are released for everyone, but their biggest problems are the good players who overperform. They want to set maximum level for them and the test will show if they have achieved it or not. For me the Taiho at least is not overperforming compared to strike Essex. The Int Airport is another matter, we have no Midway to compare, so I doubt they will release it soon, probably together with the Midway. There will never play fighters if they have good strike setup on that CV, no matter how rewarding the fighters are (they can't never give more reward then bombers). Such players are used to carry games, they just can't support random bobs and watch them fail. Fighter setups are for the other players who don't have enough skill to perform really good with bombers and will feel useful with fighters killing the enemy planes. That's on the long run of course, sometimes you really want to troll for 1-2 battles with fighters. -

5 squadrons TBs .. x6 ... and we we thought the Int Airport is OP Essex had 2F 2TB 1DB, 3TBs are too OP and I doubt we will see it for USN, but who knows about Midway. Any extreme other then 5 DBs will be OP no matter how you look at it and the credits cost won't stop anyone to score 300K+avarage damage. -
But they like it and said today that they will keep on tuning it, but they probably won't reverse to the old universals.

Sir, you have only 38 battles in Essex and you have 0 (zero) battles with any IJN CVs. Someone got a new toy and you are deeply offended that you don't have such a toy, because ... reasons? -
I have no idea about the BB's stats, I haven't looked out for the best BB players. But his Taiho avg damage is the 3rd highest right now, the the majority is 100-110K.

You CPU won't like such battle. My CPU almost melted in 12 vs 12 Essex - and those were stock Essex (4 squadrons) - only 582 planes in the air I can't even imagine 12 vs 12 International Airports On a serious note, more then 4 CVs in the game will mean planes everywhere, that's not really good for the overall gameplay, it's not look the the sky game . During the beta weekeds the limit was 3 per team, 6 per game, but WG didn't liked it.

Yes I think they should tweak it too. Either the HE should penetrate and deal big damage in close distances or the AP shouldn't overpenetrate so easily. For example when the BB is relatively close to the CA the secondary guns do more damage. APs simply overpenetrate even the boiler rooms, while the HE from BB every 30sec is joke compared to what comse from the same cruiser Same goes for the cruisers too, I think they can penetrate even the citadel with APs (same or +1 tier) when the angle is good and the distance is small.

Under the current air combat mechanics it's impossible to make the IJN worth it without rebalancing the whole system. The difference is the smalles on tier 7. USN fighter - 84 dps, 31 ammo, 1400hp IJN fighter - 90 dps, 26 ammo, 1360hp On paper looks good, but lets simulate the battle. The USN squadron is with 504 dps while the IJN with 360. If we don't count the RNG after 5 seconds of combat the IJN squadron will lose 2 planes (50%) while killing 1 (16.6%). At this point it's 420 dps vs 180 and the japanese will kill maximum 1 more plane before losing the rest 2. So you simply can't win against fighters squadron with more planes, unless they have much and I mean much lower dps. -

Depends on the county I think. Many russian premiums will probably be exactly the foreign designs, but the big names generate more money...The "unique playstyles" are mostly fail in bad or avarage hands, so that's least profitable IMHO. If I was in WG I would set the priorities this way: Big names -> Foreign designs -> Designs with unique playstyles. But we can't really know.

"ranked server" is bad idea. But Obsidian's (for their modern WoT game) idea of skill based MM is very good. You simply put equal number of great and bad players in the teams, so it's not completely random and 1 team can get 4 unicums + some above avarage players and roflstomp the enemy in 4 min, because they are against 8 bad and 5 very bad players and just 2 good/avarage players.
