    If you have ideal conditions, and are a superunicum, you should NOT automatically be the top damage dealer. Every thought that there's superunicums in other classes too? Yes in a game with average joes, you should lead the board - but that's simply down to playing better, not chosing the right class. We're talking players on the same level. Apart from the obvious thing that "ideal conditions" basically mean "another carrier with the same setup as me", whereas "ideal conditions" for a BB include: no CVs in the match, no DDs shooting HE at you (ever seen a DD shoot AP?), CAs not shooting HE at you (..) - .. Yes, well. Yes, BBs can have awesome games too, no doubt about it. Fact of the matter is though, to have those games, alot more stars need to align perfectly compared to a CV. Same with that notion that an average bob in a CV is not supposed to ruin a good strike-cvs game. That's what is happening right now, just CV against BB. The average CV is ruining good BBs matches. Which you seem to be perfectly fine with. And again you tried to match a donkey against a racecar, we're talking of course players of the same level, basically papedupi vs papedupi. I know that i won't ruin his games with my level of CV playing (nonexistant, pretty much), and that's quite normal. I posted the Taiho and HIA stats in another topic, you can see at least the half of the testers ruled the battlefield. That's because of the ships, their setup and MM, not because of the torps. Show me someone on that level who started playing tier 4-8 IJN CVs AFTER the nerf, so that the stats are not mixed and we can talk further. If you can't why are we wasting our time? The torp buff is to balance the released ships and that's tier 4-8. The tier IX and X are not released and the game won't be balanced around them, they will be balanced around the game after they have their stats and think of a way how to do that. Also there are a lot of things that can ruin CVs game. Good players who escort ship instead of going somewhere and know what they are doing can ruin your game as much as fighters. It's not insta top damage, it's if you play it right and the oppenents leave you to do it. That's the case now, I'm countered good in 1/10 games, in the other 9 it's roflstoming noobs. My BBs were feeling bad against the tier 9 and 10 airfields in the hands of those players + those CV's nature. My sunk ratio and damage taken because of CVs is very low compared to fire and other BBs. EDIT: Ideal game is no enemy CV and I can't see that in OBT/release. Even if you snipe him thats 5-7 minutes until you start attacking ships and that's 1/2 to 1/3 of the whole game.

    Why do you refuse to read? He didn't play the IJN CV < tier IX after the nerf, because he got Taiho and later HIA. They are tested and everyone can see if they should make it to the game right now or not, so you can analyze them as much as you want. The truth is that you won't find top CV player who started playing IJN CVs tier 4-8 after the nerf so you can have a look at the stats. You can either believe they were overnerfed and needed the new toprs as most people were whining after the nerf or stick with you opinion based on ... something. If you got the ideal conditions for you and you are from the top 5% of the players (because we will have the same WoT level of community) yes you will be the top damage dealer and that's just normal. Great BB player in a game without CVs, DDs and cruisers not shooting HE at him sniping (avoiding fire himself) can deal insane games too. But how offen do you have such games? Of course the HIA situation where you win the game yourself if they protect you is not normal, but that's not the case under tier VIII. Also if you have the same level player against you with fighters you will have terrible game. But if you are top player against avarage bob he is not supposed to ruin your game, you will not overperform, but when you live the whole game you will still make enough damage to be near the BBs.

    Why do you look at old stats? When he played Lexington the planes were different, the AA was different, the setups were different, the meta was different and so on. IJN CVs were overperforming with the old spread, they nerfed it and between 0.3.1.2 (spread nerf) and 0.3.1.3 (IJN torps) they were joke. Look at the gaming achievments topic + other forums have such. I had 90K+ damage battle on tier 2, I saw 380K damage on Yamato and so on. It's possible to make extremely good games when the starts are right in every ship. About my vision of CVs balance? You are a good player, you are in strike setup and there is no enemy CV with air superiority setup and you live for the whole duration of the battle - top damage dealer. You are a good player, strike setup vs fighters - if you play your cards right and live for the whole battle duration - ~the same damage as the top BB in that game or a bit lower.

    He is not playing other CVs or not actively at least, because he has 280 battles in the last 7 days in Taiho and HIA. This buff was very needed on tier 4-8, because they were broken after the 0.1.3.2.

    That's why you don't put out 1 fire, but first at 2. BBs should always keep the repair as that stops the fire too, you just shouldn't use them both at the same time if you are intense battle. Devs think that should be part of the skill, timing both ​abilities.

    You can't see how much you burned. I got the Fireproof achievments and repaired a lot of hp, but I can't see how much I burned, I see only damage from direct shots.

    It's not a bug, it's bad translation ... again. You need to kill the planes intentionally = you need to focus them with Ctrl. 30 such planes and you get the achievment.

    Ships burn for 60sec. Every fire is 0.3% hp (BB,CA,DD) or 0.4%hp (CV) per sec. They stack. BB can have up to 4 fires and that would be 1.2% hp per sec.

    They are more accurate on afk or slow moving not evading ships, but the todal damage is nerfed a lot. Also all IJN torps should be faster now together with the damage increase.

    The new IJN torps (to compensate the spread nerf) travel faster, arm faster and deal more damage. You can drop little bit closer then before yes and they arm faster, but they simply are faster now and that's why you have a bit less time to evade.

    How can you test the gameplay on the internal servers? If you simulate battles with good players and on the right tiers it's just not OP. But when you add it to the CBT with this +/- 3 MM and lack of air superiory Essexs + overall lack of high tier playes you end up with something that's just broken under current rules. Probably won't be in OBT, but that has to be tested live. Beside there are ~ tester playing them regularly. You see them almost every battle with 6K online in the peak hours?

    The only reason CVs start at tier 4 is because the devs want them to start at tier 4. Their gameplay is totally different and they don't want players to start with lower tier CVs.

    Some updates (06.05). HIA is not showing much better performance on avarage. Taiho HIA Not really too OP in tier IX - X battle with more then 1 Des Moines, Montana, Essex and so on, but completely broken with this MM, lack of Midway and the playerbase we have right now (lack of teamplay) which is playing mainly tier 7-8s. In the right hands it's roflstomping them.

    They have pretty much the same damage output. I almost updated the list, will post it in the last topic again. When I play strike Essex I avarage at ~130-150K damage, too bad we can't see the 0.3.1 stats. Taiho is a bit better.

    Yep those armoured decks are very effective against HE bombs and APs won't come before the release.

    Who knows, 1 dev said that they can come with the OBT start (HIA and Midway). We will know more soon (E3), they say OBT will probably come in a month. IMHO the airport shouldn't make it to the game now in CBT. It's balanced as tier X, it's not overperforming in the intended situation - enemy fighters, cruisers and tier IX, X ships. 1 single Des Moines killed 47 (almost 50%) of my planes today, not to mention the USN BBs when you attack them. The whole problem is that there are few high tier players and the games are against tier 7,8 and sometimes some 9 and 10s. In such situation it's wrecking them, it's like WT E-100 in tier 6-7 game.

    They way now is to evade the planes and get less hits. If it's good CV only fighters or cruiser can save you.

    He was probablty attacking CAs and DDs making only critical hits. My damage is ~1260 per bomb hit when attacking mainly BBs.

    IJN bombs were nerfed from 10K max to 4.5K max even for the tier X.

    They didn't add arming distance last patch - it was always in the game. They drop from your pretty much BB's lenght away. Right now they take the same level BB in 2 strikes - 6-7 minuts. if they increase the arming distance (easier to avoid) they will increase the damage to have the same effect. You won't like it.

    Yep the dancing is over. Just had 428K damage game in HIA, they just can't turn fast enough
