If stacking is removed then the AA is to be reworked completely to restore the balance, because the only reason to stack them is AA. If you attack 1 by 1 you will score more hits, but they won't survive under the AA fire 1 by 1.

BBs shoot down most of the planes if you don't know, because they have much better AA. Cruisers job is to panic them, so they can't score many torp hits + it's great self protection against bombers. The AA is not balanced only on tier X, because of the HIA, but it's not clear how it will look after the rebalance.

They will rework the manual drop, they said it. I guess it will be exactly to save the DDs. Now I kill 99% of the DDs with 2 TB squarons, 0,9% with 3 TBs and 0.1% with 4 TBs when I fail with 3 (they dance really good + get lucky). .

The damage is indicator and it's boosted when you survive more then you are supposed to because of division support, but the WR? How can the WR say such thing in this case? If the others in his division are playing only in the division too and no solo battles to keep the same high WR should we say nerf Gearing,Montana,Des Moines, Iowa and the other ships I've seen him in division with. And again it's not about the airport, but about "CV XYZ is OP, because he has XX% WR in it".

You reached the highest skillcap, but your avg dmg and WR who have to show it are quietly crying in the corner. So he was with his DD cover again. Quote me more his WR as proof that CV (any CV) is OP, because he has X% WR with it.

Yes there was no manual drop at first, it was added later. Removing it is the same as removing the normal shooting in WoT and leaving only the auto aim. -

Press "P" to turn off the AA and let them fly unarmed? Turn it on again when you see the next wave incoming. Arty/CV jihad guy with 0 battles in CV. I will tell you a secret - you don't fight the CV, you fight his planes. If you shoot part of them back, dodge some of the torps and get hit with 1-2 which you repair after that you've won. -

The boiler rooms under the smokestacks are considered citadel for CV and you can penetrate it even with HE (you will overpen them with AP actually). The info is from RU dev posts.

The armour and damage mechanics in 0.3.1(.3) are far away from the real physics. When you bounce from the superstructire or Des Moines bounces from DDs you know something is wrong. But it's arcade, we can't expect normal damage models. The damage itself is not random at all, it's fixed now. The RNG is where you hit (and with which angle) and if it's between 30-45 degree the RNG will say if you penetrate or not. Other then thats it's pretty straightforward. Citadel hit is 1 (100%, the max damage you see in port), explosion inside the ship (no overpenetration) 0.33, overpenetration 0.1. DDs don't have citadel, you can hit the boiler rooms and if the shell explodes there (no overpen) you get 0.5 instead of 1 for other ships citadels. Also the ship is split into modules (up to 4) with their hp. That's the 0.33 damage when you penetrate them, but if the hp is gone already in this module (this part of the ship is black) you get 2x less damage or 0.165 of your max damage. So no RNG with the damage rolls themself

They were discussing russian WoWs tournament planned for mid july and they don't know yet if it should be in CBT or OBT. Vallter_ - Senior Community Manager. He didn't want to spoil the surprise, but said on 1:07:20 that we will hear more on E3 and that will most likely be about Midway, USN CVs line changes, future branches and features. Vlegris - Game Designer (the balance guy). Somewhere in this stream I think he said that the tier Xs (Midway and Hakuryu) will come near the OBT or with the start of OBT.

Yep cruiser can't save you from sniping if you just pull back and there are no fighters in the meantime, but DD can, because you will stay cloaked ~2 minutes. -

Saw Ishiro32 in my team today. He was in Shokaku and I was with the airport, it was 2 vs 2 CVs game. We split up, I sniped Essex flying on the 10th line, he sniped their Shokaku flying on the 1st line ... and then we nuked what was left -

Well the division boosts the WR a lot, you can survive and carry the game. I saw him today on Hotspot. With 2 CVs it's pure race who will get to the other first and nuke his team later. Well I picked the right direction, got to him first ... but his division mate in Gearing has created huge smoke cloud and he was hidden there. Of course you can't kill something you don't see, so I launched blind in the smoke and missed. Minute later he was near me and of course sunk me. So his division saved him and instead of dying with 0 damage and probably losing the game, he survived and nuked my team. Good division are very influential, so you shouldn't just dismiss that easily, they affect the WR a lot. -
It was boring, no doubt about that. But now after playing the alternative I prefer to have it back. If the DBs were buffed like this back then, Essex was tier IX and Midway comes on tier X they were already almost balanced. The IJNs should have been copy of that with 3 squadrons of fighters to be as strong as 2 USN (12vs12), same with TBs, they should have 3 TBs (again 12) with more damage per torp, while USN with more damage like now on DBs. And there would be no problems at all. Now try to balance the strike setups. They will either leave it for the OBT, because it's impossible with this playerbase and MM in CBT, so we will pay to be tested upon, or they will nerf the tier 8-10 strike CVs to the ground so they can be useless in their tier once we start to have high tier battles in OBT/release.

In the current reality you can survive only in 4 ways: 1) you have fighters and if you are intelligent enough to use the DBs as scouts on 1 and 10 line as early warning with fighters in the middle, so you can always intercept the TBs before they reach the CV 2) you have cruisers babysitting you 3) you go for the border and know how to play there 4) you have pocket DD that will just hide you from the enemy bombers

The forum says he stopped playing CVs after 0.3.1 ... because he doesn't like the changes and he wants the old setups back. He doesn't have the new CVs either. And I have bad news for him - they won't bring the universal setups back. They won't allow you to choose your planes like ammo either. They know that the universal setups with fighters + TBs will have no alternative and 99% of the players will play with them and only with them. They somehow consider that bad and will stay with the roles we have now even if it's next to impossible to balance that without making them useless against their tier and some attempts of teamplay (escorted BBs).

Feel free to apply and explain to the devs how to make perfect game to your preferences. Btw there were times where the CVs were much stronger then the current IJN strike CVs and devs were afraid that everyone will play CV so they put a limit. Now when they are not weak you see CV in 1/3 of the games and almost never 2 vs 2 as it's intended.

Now I was able to read the whole post - you speak only about the unreleased CVs. Well I will just say you that we never had high tier CV gameplay to balance it. Essex on tier X was joke and there were and still are no tier 9-10 battles, it's 7-10. So the mechanics and gameplay are yet to be balanced, even the AA there is yet to be balanced. They promised changes to some mechanics, AP boms for DBs, reworking the manual drop mechanics in 0.3.2 and so on...

CVs as class are broken or the unreleased tier IX and X that are simply not balanced since 0.3.1.0 early tests and the patches (.1 .2 .3) have nothing to do with them, because they are trying to balance the tier 4-8 CVs?

CVs as class are overall OP or the tier IX and X CVs that are not even released and ~30 testers (~20 active) have them are OP? Also why Papedipupi and not others from the list? Besides he is always playing in division with 2 tier X ships. So 3 very good players in tier X ships vs random guys in tier 7-10. Does he win alone, while others are afk?

The AA is balanced for the same tier CV, when you attack higher tier BB you lose lots of planes. Iowa's AA seems great to OP, but when it's attacked by Taiho it can't shoot down enough planes, so it's the same as on all tiers, you lose planes but do good damage (~50%) if they are not escorted.
