I was sure that 0.3.0 was bad patch and the game was not ready for CBT, but we got it and well it wasn't such a big fail. It seems they will try to somehow balance the current concept of CVs will bigger playerbase and better MM instead of nerfing their damage output to the ground. The only problem is that we will start paying to test it soon and it will be much slower + no reset after the tests. -

It's not a secret that they will rework the manual drop in 0.3.2 and as it can't get any easier then now it will be nerf giving the target more chances to evade if the actions are taken early enough. I preffer to deal with planes once every 5-6 minutes with CAs help and friendly fighters, where if I fail or the enemy is good enough I will lose 50% of my hp or ~30% after the repairs. Changing direction, speed and turning every 2 minutes trying to avoid low damage harassing attacks would be nightmare for me as I wouldn't do anything ese that game if they targeted me. -

A) their job is to kill japanese bombers and they are ... well too good at it. The problem is that you take 1 slot with the single goal to make 1 more useless slot on the enemy team. If both CVs were switched for tier 1s that will cap points the teams would profit more. That's for the same skill level ofc. IJN CV can still nuke the enemy team even against fighters controled by bad player. B) everyone is asking for Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2 etc grouping for a long time, especially with the IJN squadrons. C) I can't understand what you mean with that. -

I don't like arty because of 2 very simple reasons: 1) 0 skills, pure RNG. If unicum kills me I have no problems with it, if 200WN8 guy after 20K battles kills me I'm angry, because even monkey with the RNGs help can kill me and I can't counter it with skill/teamplay/whatever. 2) I have absolutely no way to avoid it. The suitcase (russian expression for arty shell) is landing on me out of nowhere. Here bad player won't deal massive damage to me with auto drop or bad manual drop. I never have problems when I'm wrecked by good player as he outplayed me and deserves it. I will have problems with buffed auto drop where "200WN8 guy" will have a chance to nuke me with RNG's help if they add such. About the damage - the big alpha is in the best case scenario and because of the current MM and playerbase we see it daily. I preffer 1 attack every 5 min that can get it's effectivness lowered by 50% with some templay instead of permanent harassment every 2 minutes for low damage where if the CV is attacking me I will try to dodge planes 70% of the game, because the flies will come again and again every 2 minutes. You don't have the UFOs from the airport they fly faster and everyone is complaining about them, but imagine if all planes were like that or even faster on the higher tiers. Colorado, N.carolina, Iowa and Montana are pretty deadly to non UFO planes if they evade good and the planes are repositioning. -

From what I see it's exactly speed problem as they can reposition very fast and launch from unavoidable angles against evading ships (slow rudder response time), while staying very short time in the AA area before the attack, so only few planes are shot down. I somehow doubt that if all planes fly like jets (just imagine the tier Xs, probably something like SR-71s) and deal 3 times less damage the problem will go away and there will be even more moaning about skycancers that harass them every minute or two with unavoidable drops and they can't shoot at all, while they are just evading planes all the time. -

You realise they were not designed as fleet scouts right? All ships can see far away themself and if they can't with CV spotting for them the distance is so big that it's pure lottery to hit and it's not worth it. They can be forced to stalk DDs and spot their torps and after some forum whining and drop in DD's stats they will nerf the air detection ranges again, because right now in WG's physics it's much harder to see something from air then it is from the surface. CVs are designed as damage dealers (bombers) and counters to that (fighters). Unlike WoT (arty) it's taking much longer to pull off attack (4-5 minutes on avarage) + you have many ways to counter it, it's not secure unavoidable damage. For that reason they have high alpha that in the perfect conditions if granted can surgically remove enemy ships behind enemy lines. It's so simple and I don't know why you refuse to see it. WoWs is not NF, it's arcade and it's not designed around scouting, air supperiority, support and so on. AI bots can do that if that will be their main function, you don't need players for that. -

The BB's AA (USN mainly) is very good for it's tier and it's shooting the intended amount of planes if you do it right. The others are not supposed to shoot down more then a few planes. Same for the higher tier CV vs a lower tier BB. The AA is not balanced only for the tier X planes, because they are much faster then the others.

They are searching for AP/HE balance. In 0.3.0 it was AP every single time, in 0.3.1.1-2 it was HE almost every single time. Situation where BB bounces or overpenetrates cruiser once every 30 sec while the other is shooting 4-5K HE salvos every 10 sec was not normal either as CAs should fear BBs. In 0.3.0 they were really dying in 2 salvos. -

0.3%/sec for BB,CA,DD and 0.4%/sec for CV. You burn 60sec, so fire is 18% of BB's hp in 60 sec. They stack so 2 fires are 36%, 3 fires are 54% and all 4 fires are 72% if you don't put them out. -
Well it's shared with planes and it's their promise that all WG games will share it. You will still need premium + premium ships here for credits and captains in order to use it.

Well Aerroon trolled that HIA very hard, because he was moving very slow foward and back and half of the torps just can't hit with their spread. If the targets are moving at full speed and turning away from them then they just catch all the torps and it's ugly. -

They switched to IJN CVs, Shokaku for example. Lexington is with 1 TB max or play Essex (as I said we don't count the Essex as that's probably the best strike setup from tomorrow). I don't really understand why you always speak about the tier 9 and 10, while others speak about tier 4-8. HIA will be nerfed in every possible way tomorrow + all CVs will get a slight nerf (I won't spoil the surprise) and we even don't know it's final form before release. Why you keep speaking about them, you feel so much b...... from them? And that tells me that USN CVs shouldn't be played with strike setup and should be weaker then IJN strike. Simply because IJN has no fighters and if you grind the line you play only strike, while USN can switch between strike and fighters. If the strike can master the same damage output you simply grind 1 line and switch whatt you want to play instead of grinding 2 lines. -

Their Community manager said they listen to amount of feedback. 1 is crying with good arguments - not a big deal. 1 000 paying noob BBs are whining about torps - there is problem and we need to think about it. That's why CVs and arty will never be balanced right - overnerf->overbuff->repeat. Also server stats, good player switched to IJN, boosted their stats and they think they need nerf + buff for USN. The fact that almost no one is playing USN CVs with strike (don't count Essex) is missed. -

Well they say that the top tier CVs will get nerfed to 0.3.1.2. So their torps and bombs for tier 4-10 will be absolutely the same, they just get more and better planes to deliver it. -

If you say so. I'm curious if you can play 15 minutes with 2 waves of TBs only and the enemy haven't turned off AA and dealimg more then 1 cruiser worth of damage. -

The reason I don't protect them is not because they don't protect me. The reason is that most of the BBs I see daily are as russians call them ... (see my signature) and their arms look pretty much like this. Elitist, rude but objective and if you don't accept that it's all up to you as in WoT you won't score good results. When I sacrifice strike power to defend such players they should compensate my lowered firepower with increased damage on their side as I cover them from DDs (spot them early) and enemy bombers. When (because it's not even if) they fail miserably I end up with my damage, plane kills and 50-55% WR solo. But when I play strike setup and I'm competent in dealing damage I compensate their lack of skills to deal that damage themself and deliver it to the enemy team adding to the team score (turning the tides) and even if I'm not rewarded better (rewards nerf based on damage) I will still end up winning more. My strike Essex is mixed with the old stats, but you can check all the IJN CVs that I played pure strike. Something like this (forced to have fighters) will bring their so much looked at avg damage down (from the top players), but you can't just say that's good for them. -

Give me 1 single reason to defend somebody in a team that doesn't care about me at all? I will always pick strike setup when playing solo and if I win the duel with the enemy CV (without support in 90% of the cases) I will do my job and indirectly help secure the victory. When I play fighters it's either self defense or trolling the enemy CV, because the random BB is not worth of your protection in 9/10 games. That's the simple truth. -
The AA is shooting only 1 squadron at a time, it's not dividing fire. That's the only reason players are stacking them - to avoid the AA. If you send them 1 by 1 they will take heavy losses.
