USN cruisers get good AA from tier 6 up and they get the AA barrage which is boosting the AA. Still you can't expect to shoot down many planes, BBs have better AA. Cruisers provide the panic (their ability) that's lifesaver and timebuyer very often.

Can't say anything about the DDs as I don't play them, but from what I know Gearing is better on tier X as overall, while the low-mid tiers are pretty bad. BBs are pain until NC, but then it's such a pleasure and Montana is better then Yamato for my playstyle. So no wonder if Midway is actually better in strike configuration. Even if not it's very likely to have stock configuration of 2F 1TB 2 DB which is not bad at all. Will make my job way easier as I will have to grind only 1 tree

Some guys on the NA are whining that Midway should get 6 squadrons and 3/3 to "have a chance" against HIA or it will outshine her, USN CVs are teethless and boring and so on

Air superiority is doing a good job, I made it few times when I trolled with 3 fighters and get matched vs HIA. But strike Essex is good target yes

I always change speed and direction when playing BB. I sail in zig zag changing speed between 1/2 and full, but I still get hit by shells and catch DD torps. What am I doing wrong? If we get to a point where competent BB can evade all torps when he is alone without AA escort then there is no need for CVs at all.

"a bit more natural" when you take only 1-2 torps per attack. I guess it will be "natural" when you get hits only if you are afk right?

They once said that only USN will have jet fighters (only fighters) on Midway if they make it to the game. There are also rumors thet they will make up numbers and scale it down. Something like 170-190 knots to hunt the fast HIA bombers.

CVs "killed" this patch and trolled with the release of CV video (with Midway) together with the last patch + BBs either whine that CVs are still OP or say it's never enough and "arty" should suffer more

I feel such a noob now... I can only wish you good luck in surviving against competent strike CV in open waters, no matter of the escort (unless there are 3-4 or more cruisers protecting you).

Yep, even some french designs (if they make it to the game) won't be able to launch and land at the same time with angled deck.

They think about rockets on fighters, but even if they add them it would be after the release, it's not planned for now. So even if there are rockets they would be only for some high tier planes and high tier AA.

Only the fighters (or the upgraded fighters) will be jets. People complain that tier X IJN bombers are very fast - now the jets will easily hunt them down. To be honest I have no idea about the balance. The video shows ~30 planes which is still 5 squadrons like on Essex, so we can assume it's Essex with better planes (HIA is also just Taiho +1DB and better planes). Try to evade 3 squadrons of jets (21 planes)...

Who wants to be target and how representative is it going to be if they play exactly against them and it's only a few testers? They test tanks this way in WoT and it's not even test. The aiport generated almost 1 500 battles for ~ 2 weeks, isn't that very small percentage of all high tiers battles for those 2 weeks?

Updated stats for the Hakuryu International Airport. That was the most OP configuration, tomorrow today the 0.3.1.4 patch will nerf it in every possible way. The americans who already got the patch say it's ~40% damage output nerf on avarage. Too bad that the stats won't reset, but it will be interesting too see how are they going to change for a week or two til the next patch.

BBs have much better AA. Cruisers are for the panic to buy time for the combined AA to work (they either have to retreat losing planes or attack in panic).
