The game is scaled, the ships are not in their real lenght. Yamato is 263m long, but in the game it's closer to 1 km, compared to the ingame distances. 640 IRL turning radius is 2.5 hull lengts - that would be something like 2km turning radius in the game. That was the problem with their 0.3.1 buff, it looked ridiculous because of the scaling. BB turning 360 degree only inside his hulls lenght or even less in some cases.

Well all CV planes are spotting the same way, I tested that (0.1.3.1). I parked DD and tried to spot it with fighters, DBs and TBs. All 3 planes spotted it on exactly the same mark, so even if there is difference that meters and because of the game scaling you can't notice it. CV planes are spotted from 8km (both air and surface) and you can't lower it. 8km is ~25sec fly time to the ship however, so it's not so far away. I suggested such 6th sense for the planes too back in the alpha (as captain's perk), but I doubt they will make it and I rarely would see a use from it to be honest. Scounts act as proximity spot only on 4km and see behind islands (only not in smoke), but from 4 to 11 km they need clear line of sight. Carrier planes don't have such clear line of sight check, so they actually should spot better, as they fly higher and see better even behind islands. The scout's advantage is in the fact that it's detected from 4km, while it can see up to 11km.

Yes 19, but after unlocking the 18th, you don't see the progress bar anymore, UI bug. You will unlock it after ~110K exp or something like this.

The spread is so wide that 1 DD (some USN one) today evaded between the torps ... almost with his broadside. I was shoked to say at least.

If everyone was at least turning as soon as they saw the planes going for them and saving the repair button after the torp hits I would have 100K avarage damage instead of 180K. Today I attacked Yamato escorted by Des Moines, he was good and activated the AA barrage second before I could abort the attack, so I was stuck with the huge spread. Scored 3 torp hits ... for 7800 damage on Yamato with 1 flooding. What would you do in this situation when you see 4 DBs 7km away from you? Well he repaired ASAP and even started the repair works to regain hp. 20 sec later after the AA skill ended I attacked with the DBs (he was not even trying to turn away from them) and started 4 fires, he burned for 70K damage and someone killed him. He was swearing the whole game that CVs are OP and I should learn to play normal ships... -
They promised rework for the 0.3.2 and will make them more "interesting" as they say.

2 sets and USN CV is only Essex. This is CV 2 tiers above you and right now have better alpha strike damage then the tier X IJN CV, so consider it the best we have ingame right now. IJN planes win a dpm race, they don't hit so hard now.

I don't see it as such a bad thing. It was the same thing in alpha and I had problems adjusting to the shorter one when CBT started and I was not hitting ships the first 2 days I needed exactly 1 battle to remember the leads and I'm hitting just fine now. My airport damage even after the big nerfs (-1TB, -2K damage per torp) was rising yesterday, so gj on nerfing it WG

We are speaking about the same tier CV. It's onlly possible after very good attack with TBs and with bad BB captain who will use his repair to stop the flooding and will burn to the death later.

That pretty much sums up the whining on the NA server and it seems WG is considering them big market, so... There is even big discussion if Midway should get 6 or even 7-8 squadrons, because "it was great ship, could carry up to 140 planes, the japanese one was not even build".

68, 7 less? What ships are you looking at? Essex is 90, Taiho is 83, but it's not final, they are still thinking about it.

-12% loading speed = reloading 12% faster - 17% aiming speed = turrets rotation 17% slower +10% loading time = reloading 10% slower +15% aiming speed = urrets rotation 15% faster So it's bad idea to have them both at the same time.

There is no difference between moving or not, it's not WoT, no bushes here. Bogue is not large fleet carrier, it's small escort carrier. It's detection range is 10.1km with 16.2km for Kongo. -

About the rest like RNG, huge squadron and so on - sure why not, but how about those 27K damage torps showed on the PT server? You have to balance it out, because now it's not very far from how it should be in terms of damage. If you want that CV can't sink your BB for 20 minutes - I'm sorry you are in the wrong game. Some other - singleplayer with cheats will be better choice. -
The next thing on the list posted was the AA balance. If that's the case then they seems to consider the current balance fine. if not they will change something first.

Yes you can get critical hit in the ammo storage and explode from single torpedo. That's rare of course.

From what I saw it's back to the 0.3.0 state where every BB's shell is very painful for cruisers unless it's overpen. To be honest it's fine for me, because the BBs feel hard countered by all the torps (DDs and planes), so they don't need even opponent in the face of cruisers, they have enemy BBs for that. The bold cruisers taking out BBs in the last few patches was too much.

I haven't played low tier CVs lately, only t8-10. After the big nerf on turning radius it's huge - 1250m for the tier X (900m on Yamato to compare) - it's impossible to survive against strike CV tier 7 up, because they have 3/3 bombers and CA escort is only delay. I kill CV pretty much almost every game and it's escorted in most of the cases. You can either be covered in smoke (so that you can't be spotted and blind shots in the smoke are lottery) or go for the border where you have good chance in surviving. It was easy to dodge the bombers even alone in open water, but the turning radius was ~600m and they were agile, now only the big top speed is left which is making the sniping so popular, because it's easy to kill CV in open waters, it's turning so much slower then the BBs and we know how fast they turn. -
When I'm in the enemy team Shep is losing too, so the problem might be elsewhere
