Because it was never designed as PvE alternative, the other "World of" games don't have such thing. It's a way for the new players to learn the basics without being sealclubed on tier 1-2 by veteran players. That's the only purpose, it's far too easy to deal damage there and it's easy to have 100% WR, so it's easymode and shouldn't be used for grinding ships. That's why they reduced the income there after the alpha stage when there are enough people to play PvP as the game was desighned for. And why do you play MMO game, to stomp bots and feel a king? There are singleplayer games for that, some even need cheats for them.

First of all they said the economy is not final, it's the first test of it. The income for low tiers was reduced, the mid tiers are the same and on high tiers it's increased. If the stats show it's really so "unplayable" it will be fixed rather soon and that's why we get a head start, to "test grind" the lower tiers. I have 6 500 000 credits now right after buying tier 6 ship for 3 500 000.

It was 2-3 powergrind days for tier 1-10. That's ridiculous. I saw players with tier 7 yesterday, probably some will make tier 8 today. It feels like WoT and it's right or the game will get boring very soon. Also your PvE should not give any exp from tier 5 up - if you want to grind don't play the easy mode, it's for training and testing stuff. If you want singeplayer vs bots you will have to search for another game, this one is PvP.

The others don't have AA at all, while Hosho is with 16 bombers total, 8 in the air and 8 reserve. Attack on a BB escorted by Yabari is 3-4 planes down. You can easily get out of planes staying near Yubaris, so you just avoid them and the ships near them and attack other targets instead.

The big wipe and the OBT start are very close and the big grind will start. Most of you probably have already selected main line for themself, ships they enjoy the most. As the grind will be much harder most of the players will focus with on 1 line with 2nd one going on with x1.5 for the first win and occasional grind while the main ship will be in battle. So which ships have you selected for yourself? I will start with CVs and if there are no changes that would be IJN CVs. The Hakuryu International Airport in the last implementation (PT 0.4.0 v2) is very enjoyable for me, the grind with IJN strike setups will be more enjoyable too. I will start with CVs first because I have most of my fun with them and because of the initial rush, where you have to keep with the others or you will end up playing only against higher tiers at some points which is ... fun. The second line will be USN BBs, because I'm pretty sure I will be bored with CVs after going to tier 10 and the USN CV line will have to wait. The grind will be harder, but I enjoy the high tier USN BBs a bit more then the Japanese. I also won't be able to grind with Izumo without swearing every battle

The Arkansas Beta and the other ships on that tier are short. The spread is hitting 2/4 on afk Yamato, on tier 4 it's hiting only 1 torp per squadron if the player bothers to evade. So 2 squadrons = 2 torpedo to 3 torpedo hits. The old Langley had 5900 damage torps ... BUT it got 2 TB squadrons with 6 planes each and tight spread where you can land 8-10/12 on a BB. Think about it. You made good game OK, you can have such in every ship. We'll look at the avarage after more battles. My Arkansas is with 60K avarage damage, Hosho is with 70K. Doesn't look wrong to me.

Yes, you won't get free exp and credits again, the reward is only the Iwaki Alpha.

My point about more planes is that no one is going to split them. it doesn't matter if you stack 2 TBs (USN) or 4-5(IJN), they fly like 1 group. There will always be strike formations going to strike ships or return to the CV. You don't suggest removing the CVs, are you? So the old Essex would stack 2 groups of 2 TBs and 3 DBs while the japanese airport will stack 1 group of 4 TBs and 1 group of 4 DB. The difference for the ship below the planes ... zero. How can something change in that matter, unless the old battles were without CVs, because prior to the japanese airports there were less CVs overall, I was playing other classes during that time because of that. You say you haven't played DDs pre 0.3.1. Well this patch added the IJN CVs 4-8 tier and everyone was grinding them. So you either had games without CVs (logical when everyone is in lwoer tiers grinding the new CVs) or games against Shokaku (tier 8) which is pretty much the same, only 1 squadron less then Taiho and as I explained it doesn't matter, because of the stacking. I also played ~300 battles in those 3 weeks (when the 10-15 testers in question had them), 200 of them in the airport itself. I met Pape 2 times, Aerroon once and probably max 10 other times someone else with it - so let's say 15/300 battles were against them. It's impossible to play against them every time when they are 5 players at the same time with a pool of 5-6K online... -

I have only 1 question - when have you played your exptra games? Becuase the high tier IJN CVs were played actively by ~10-15 testers for 3 weeks before WG added them to all just 6 days ago. Those 10-15 players screwed your stats as you were up against them every single batte? Not to mention that DDs suffered more in pre 0.3.1, because the torps were easier to spot from air (2x the surface detection range) + all CVs had fighters and used them to stalk DDs all the time. The current strike IJN CVs just fly their airgroups (stacked as 1 or 2) to attack target and go back. I just don't see how can they ruin your game if they don't spread all 7-8 air groups just to search for DDs and torps in the water and I have yet to see someone doing it instead of stacking them and attacking BBs. Also I don't say thet the high tier IJN DDs are fire or that they don't need fixing tier 6 up. But comparing your Izokadze and other ships is wrong, because you assume they are supposed to have the same avarage damage and don't want to accept that tier 2-5 IJN DDs are sealclubbers and I was exactly seaclubbing at tier 2 (preparing captain for the IJN CVs pre 0.3.1) against noobs with fast spamming torps on close ranges. That's easy mode and on tier X you don;t have the same noobs who turn in order to catch the torps instead of dodging them and you don't release them every 30-60 sec on 3-4 km ranges. I can't play DDs without this easy mode, so I don't play them or don't go in higher tiers. My experiment with 75K avarage damage on tier 5 CVs (both) was also sealclubing in combination with ridiculous auto drop that was nerfed in 0.4.0 to it's old stage. And those 75K are more avg damage then my Des Moines on tier X (not that I can really shoot with it). -
It's still not clear yet as many players don't really want that. So it's open question for now, we will have to wait and see.

That's the main reason for the nerf. Smoke for DD is fine and needed. Huge clouds screwing the team, because of noob DD using it as panic button and the hiding of entire fleets in perma smoke was not OK. And I'm very happy you can't hide fleet of BBs anymore.

I don't think that all classes should do the same amount of damage (as now), but all should get the same amount of avg exp for avarage game in their class (still needs fixing, but it's close). And it seems WG is doing exactly that, so I like it. Shooting down planes will be more rewarded with 0.4.0, spotting assist is planned for 0.4.1 or later and so on. For me the avarage damage should be CV(strike)>BB>CV(balanced)>CA>DD>CV(air superiority). The reasons (for me). - strike CV - it can do only damage and absolutely nothing more, so the damage potential should be the highest unless opposed to air superiority CV - BB - can tank huge amounts of damage and return fire with it's huge guns - balanced CV - it can scout, counter enemy bombers and attack BBs (so compared to their hp pool the damage will still be a little bit higher compared to other support classes) - CA - jack of all trades, so cap, fire support, AA escort and DD hunter - DD - cap, scout, smoke area denial and opportunity hunter for damage - air superiority CV - counter enemy bombers and spot, the small damage is just bonus So BBs can only tank damage and deal damage to help the team, CVs (without the air superiority deck) can mainly do damage (strike) and some spot/cover (balanced), so the damage is their main argument in the battle. CAs and DDs have many more jobs to influence the game, because simply pure damage is not helping as much as the other objectives, while same damage + the other abilities will just be OP and wrong in many ways.

No one wants MM where good players play only with good players. The modern tank game made what was asked and I hope WG will consider it too at some point. When 1 team get unicum, the other one does too. Same with good and bad players. Because when the XVM shows 3 unicums and 3 good players vs 2-3 good and the rest are tomatoes" the winnier is clear in 99% of the cases.

many did on the PT as they have fighters now. If the AA is bad like on IJN CAs it's not always useful to have it with all the fighters in the air, they apply the constant panic if you attack group of 2-3 ships. -
I'm sorry, but it's only your problem if you didn't get in. I knew about WoWs and wanted to play it since it was announced, but was waiting for alpha/beta without visiting the forums as there is nothing to do there if I haven't played the game first. Then I wanted to play when I saw the 1st Beta Weekend in december 2014 and I got myself and my friend keys. I got keys for CBT too. I gained keys for NA and RU too only to read the closed beta forums, there were literally thousands of keys on the internet. If you haven't invested few hours in searching for them ... it's only your problem.

Yep it's waste of time with slow reloading BB. The AP can finish it in 1 or max 2 broadsides.

The auto drop was nerfed to the old pre 0.3.1 with manual drop buffed to pre 0.3.1.3(?). The auto drop is effective only against bad captains, you can dodge 3/3 waves or catch 1, max 2 torps from 12 even in BB if you play smart, the buffed manual drop hurs more on the lower tiers and against DDs now. So if you catch auto drop in 0.4.0 with DD ... that's not the ship for you, but skilled CV captains in IJN CVs will still be hunting them as before. The chances to see good CV captains however will drop significantly.
