I am fairly new to the game and I do not see the need to grind tech tree. - It forces you to play tiers and ships you may not enjoy - It gets you new ships yes, but it would make more sense to play fewer ships - It is a silver sink Why not just stick to premium? Containers and coal will eventually get me premium ships. I already have 3, one I paid for (Okhotnik), one bought by coal (Anshan) and one from a container : Georgia. So I can play 3 classes and 3 tiers already after just 2 weeks. Why bother grinding the tech tree?

Add night battles with varying degree of moonlight and thus visibility. No planes. We already have night operation. Add bad weather battles, with bigger waves - also no planes and submarines unusable. Night + bad weather. User can set their weather preference in %, but nothing can be lower than say 20%. You are matched to battle near you according to your preference (and other player's preference who are currently playing). Tha game would track your last X battles and your percentages and try to optimize for your pref. For night battles there could be flair and spotlight consumable.

Thanks for all the replies. I do not have that much time to really go for competitive. Staying mostly at tier 5-6 for now, learning DD play, then probably cruisers. Saving up coal for a tier X, just to play for missions in coop or operations.

That is why it makes sense to stay at lower tiers. That is why it makes sense to do not care much about dailies and so. Less grinding. Let go of wanting to having all the stuff. Go cheap and enjoy what you have there.

What else do you want to spend your silver on? ATM Austria-Hungary tokens -> premium ship. Either I can get to the Jaeger or buy container for 25 tokens and it gets me a ship. I will stick to premium as the grind does not interest me. And yes, I am sticking to tier V and VI for the moment, will only go tier IX for asymetric battles with Georgia. Grinding coal for Soviet commander to sail Okhotnik. Need that concealment buff for torp wall ambushes :)
