    Where you would expect to find them, it has a low profile which makes it a little more difficult to hit but as a ship the Atago is no more powerful than the Myoko. The Atlanta has no armour, fragile modules, low range, less health than an Omaha and no plane. It is very situational ship and great at killing DD's although fighting battleships usually leads you to being one shot. Ishizuchi, yeah not going to even mention it. Mikasa.... Tachibana and Albany are under powered for their tier (2 lol). Aurora and Diana are OK but nothing special. Murmansk is a little OP but only because the Omaha is such a good ship to begin with. Simms is no more powerful than other same tier destroyers. Tirpitz is no more powerful than any other battleship and like other ships with torpedos as a secondary I've rarely seen them used other than noobs launching them at ships 15km away. Despite being not as combat effective as regular ships they also perform in terms of credits and experience much the same as regular ships. So yeah, they are OP because you can easily switch crews on them without losing your captain abilities but I don't think that counts towards being Pay To Win.

    German cruisers vs other nations cruisers

    The German guns do have better muzzle velocity though so the trajectory will be flatter and therefore, in probability more accurate. They should also have higher armour penetration than slower shells. On the downside it means less chance of plunging fire and a high chance of not penetrating deck armour or ricochets. Depending if Warships takes into account those things.

    To be honest I'm finding it terrible to play. The New Mexico was slow but had good armour and accurate guns. This things only redeeming feature is it's AA.

    Tired of Deck-Whiners

    Think the issue is more the flight options are not that good. I used to take fighters with the Bogue which was really boring to play and netted very little XP. I went to the offensive flight deck and enjoyed the game far more. Although if up against a fighter Bogue then a lot of the time I didn't achieve very much. However, being on the receiving end of higher tier flight groups it would be nice to have fighter support. I don't get annoyed if our carrier has no fighters. I do get annoyed when our carrier has fighters and uselessly escorts his bombers (even when the enemy carriers groups are all spotted) while we all die at the hands of torpedoes. Worse yet is where said carrier has fighters not doing anything or flying in circles around his ship while he rearms.

Basically what you should take from their quote is: World of Warships has a small team, we didn't want to fund them because World of Warplanes tanked really hard and we are still trying to claw back development money from that project and buying the company we rented the game engine from. If you look at their marketing strategy at the moment it does look like they are trying very hard to grab as much cash as possible across all platforms. Research doesn't take that long, I advised on a number of projects to make radio controlled tanks. On a number of ships I am pretty sure they can reuse assets as well such as gun emplacements etc etc.

    Clemson is great at all stages. It is a superior destroyer hunter and will make light cruisers think twice about engaging you. Use the islands for cover, remember your guns are your best asset torpedos are basically for killing anything that gets too close for example torpedoing other destroyers in close quarters. The Clemson is also great and killing carriers and battleships, just remember to approach the battleship from the opposite side the guns are facing. The Minekaze was a good boat but I did far better in the Clemson than the Minekaze, probably down to style of game play. I really like the close in fighting of US destroyers compared to the ineffective range of Japanese boats.

    I think you experienced the RNG on battleships rather than the buff. If they consistently get good hits at close range then you could consider it a buff but to be honest RNG still misses a large proportion of the time at closer ranges.
  10. 150 games at maximum match is almost 40 hours, that is more than enough to form a critical opinion of any game. There is a couple of problems with the OP (who I sort of agree with) and with WG. The first is the way in which the tier structure is laid out and the way they introduced carriers (and subsequently carrier mechanics). Killing ships with carriers is pretty easy. Carriers were introduced at a tier where ships generally lack any AA. The second problem is the tier structure, when you move up a tier you initially get a ship that, in a lot of the time is in a WW1 configuration with very little AA. The AA they do have is usually smaller calibre heavy machine guns, often with the completely wrong range on them. Since short range AA is only good for fly overs and not direct attacks it makes people think AA is weak. So this creates a problem at both low and mid tier game play, and creates a far from satisfactory experience for some players. Personally I think once you get above tier 5 the level of AA is quite good on upgraded ships but it is also far too random in its effectiveness, sometimes you can kill/lose all the planes sometimes none. Unfortunately I don't think you can change AA too much without breaking carrier game play. Secondaries do need a massive buff, for the most part. Either with range, or accuracy or probably both. Secondaries shouldn't miss a destroyer running alongside you at point blank. Nonsense, destroyers have a huge advantage at the moment. They have concealment (including smoke), agility(rudder shift time), speed and mass to close with ships. It is very easy to close with enemy ships. Improving secondaries will mean one thing, and one thing only. Destroyers will have to play tactically and actually think about how to attack larger ships. As it stands at the moment destroyers can pull alongside battleships and avoid death and torpedo at almost point black ranges. Secondary batteries were specifically designed to engage them and yet fail most of the time. Also taking into account main battery accuracy at that range, reload time and ineffective AP rounds. This is not a problem with cruisers that basically rely on main battery but for battleships it is. Even pulling in close against other battleships secondaries still manage to miss.

    Yes but if you want to play one ship, for whatever reason, and don't have very long to play you are fairly well stuffed. There is no reason for locking ships (or tanks) in port once you have been knocked out. In fact that's not true, only one I think of is in the never happened can't afford to repair the ship/tank.

    Guns stop working

    Unless you get the login error which makes you miss the match. Not sure its related but I've had planes on CV's do this, they get stuck on take off and that's them for the game.
  13. The hit rate on them is a little iffy though. Not to mention the fact the planes think they are submarines and drop their bombs underwater.

    No its a failure in the User Interface, that of course, financially benefits the company. It's not a huge loss but it's irritating none the less and yes I have read it before and it still happened. They should be set to credits as a default since the credit cost of most of the modules is negligible. It is much the same for the upgrade to consumables, it's doubloons first which makes me wonder how many people are not using the benefits of the lower cool downs due to a poor design. Removal of the drop down box and have a check box system that needs to be completed before selling the ship is an example of a better and clearer system.

    Yes but I've since the rounds hit textures and still go through so its not always through the open parts and with a battleship you don't really get a choice where your shots land other than the general vicinity of where you are aiming.

    Long time game loading

    It's the client. Initial load time is probably long because some bright spark put a video running in the background, that as far as I know can't be disabled (can it?) The game then has to load all the ships in port. Ingame loading is usually longer the first time a map is loaded but goes back to normal afterwards. I would say all the problems are down to optimisation but may be wrong.

    Fix this buggy garbage game

    I've had a few issues with ships disappearing, usually with gun sights and also not rendering in when appearing from around islands. Unfortunately these rendering issues have been with us since WoT. Part of it is down to the crappy spotting mechanics and most likely server issues.

  21. This, I also found this out with a direct comparison of same tier ships. I feel premium ships are pretty much a scam at the moment. The only ability they have is for crew training and that is pretty much pointless when you think of the time implications.

    I don't know, the game has so many game play flaws, bugs etc you quite easily say it is comparable to early access. Many games actually bother to add an invert mouse ability even in Alpha. As for OP Soviet era ships you can almost guarantee it, developers from that part of the world can't seem to help themselves. As for the argument about which tree should come next, the number of players is irrelevant, the amount of income that area generates is. So its all down to who spends the most money in game and since Russia is nearly always ranked well below countries such as Germany and UK in terms of spending it makes you wonder.

    Was the Ishizuchi nerfed?

    Haven't played this ship in awhile, before the last major patch. I can't penetrate other battleships at the moment, even same tier. If I remember correctly the guns had issues with higher tier ships but at the moment I am bouncing (no damage) broadside on Wyoming's, even super structure hits are registering no damage. Just wondering if the whole tier was nerfed and not just the Wyoming as I notice more and more people in tier 4's using HE. It still works fine on cruisers and reasonably well on destroyers, with citadels on cruisers when my aim is good.

    Not really angry, but certainly feel disappointed. And this reply: Is either a lie or incompetence but certainly condescending. WoT EU community management isn't the best but at least they make an effort. I suppose the main gripe is, after releasing three games on the same platform you would think they would have a clue how to do things.
