Yes adhesive/glue is allowed and you can print the logo. Exactly, the ship itself has to be made of paper but you guys can decorate it with other materials as long as you don't go overboard with it. Let's try to stick to paper as much as we can though.

After the Cleveland the Pensacola felt like a slight downgrade. It is a great ship, but imho both the Cleveland and the New Orleans are better ships in their own tiers. That being said the guns are great and the only real problem I had with the ship was the extreme vulnerability of the citadel especially after the Cleveland which is one of the hardest cruisers to citadel.

The contest is open for every class and every tier. I know that high tier carriers have the highest chance to win, but I didn't want to exclude other classes, we might get surprised. To be fair, CVs couldn't take part in earlier contests and now it is their time to shine There will be other contests in the future and every class will have an opportunity to get into the limelight.

When I started down the American BB line, the North Carolina was the ship I wanted to reach. After the awesome NM I didn't enjoy the Colorado at all (played it before the buffs), but I was telling myself, that the North Carolina would be worth it. Boy, was I disappointed at first. It seemed that the ship was cursed and I could barely scrape together a win. I got citadelled left and right, got ammoracked by destroyers and couldn't hit the side of a barn with the guns for some reason. Since then I started figuring out how to play the ship and if I am not careful it might become my favorite. (It is hard to replace the Tirpitz in my heart though ). IMHO, the biggest drawback of the ship is firing angle of the turrets. In order to fire all guns forward while sailing toward an enemy you have to almost completely turn your broadside toward them to bring the rear turret to bear, not leaving you enough time time angle your ship properly before the incoming enemy salvo, which usually results in a citadel hit. While sailing other BBs I always try to fire full broadsides, but in the NC I had to unlearn that habit and in most situations just use the first two turrets in a 1v1 fight. There is always the temptation to use all the guns and turn the ship just a bit more, but a NC captain has to learn resist and remain angled. The same thing happens if you want to fight an enemy directly behind you. A retreating NC has to rely a lot on its single rear turret because by turning your ship enough to aim with the forward turrets you expose your citadel again. The upside is, that the NC is extremely fast and agile compared to the previous American ships and you can use that agility to position yourself in a way that you can exploit the strengths of the ship and avoid the weakness. The guns are great, not the most accurate but they pack a nice punch. You have great AA which is always a plus. As long as you remain angled correctly, the armor is pretty effective. Long story short, it is definitely worth getting

Meeting them can be lethal - but at the same time, it can be profitable! Rules: The Salem Witch and Phantom Fortress will be in game each day, starting on 28/10/2015 and ending on 01/11/2015 from 19:00 to 21:00 CET. They will be sailing in Random battles only. Their teams will be intentionally weaker for balance purposes. If you encounter them, all you have to do is win the battle (regardless on which team you are). If you do so, you will win a nice surprise present. You do not have to submit proof of your victory anywhere. You can win multiple times! Your winnings will be credited on 30/10/2015 and 02/11/2015. Tips: If you want to meet them in battle, your best bet are tiers IV and V. If you fight against the special ships, do not confront them recklessly - they are lethal! You do not need to outfight them, you need to win - you can outthink them as well! If you wish to sink them, use teamwork! If you are on their side, do not rely on them to win the battle for you! I would suggest going for tier V and staying there a while, trying out different classes to see which suits you best. You can later use the experience to fight other classes more effectively. Ships I would recommend: - Omaha: one of the best cruisers for its tier, great credit maker - Kongo: Awesome battleship, perfect for learning how to play BBs, positioning, armor angling, long distance shooting etc. - Nicholas: still my favorite DD, lots of torp potential, awesome guns for a DD. gl hf

As others pointed out, the New Mexico is simply a tougher ship and in my experience in a 1vs1 it can easily hold its own against the Fuso. The NM is probably my favorite USN ship and whenever I saw a Fuso I would just try to close the distance, use my superior armor, angle my ship between shots and just demolish it. If closing the distance is not an option, you can still reliably fight against the Fuso from the edge of your engagement range or use your spotter plane, your armor is still better and a good salvo can easily citadel the Fuso. The Fuso is faster and can use its greater range, but as soon as it is in your shooting range I feel like the NM is superior.

that's an awesome amount of hits havaduck, now I kinda feel bad for not posting it yesterday. (although, to be fair I wasn't working yesterday). Let's hope you manage to achieve something similar or maybe even better during the next two weeks

I am almost finished with the Pensacola, only 10.000 XP or so to go until the New Orleans and I am pretty sure it is not the worst ship ever made. Stock it has a hard time against its peers, but upgraded it is a pretty damn good cruiser. Like most cruisers you are extremely fragile which might be a bit painful if you got used to the Cleveland which is one of the most durable CAs for its tier in the game (due to the hard to hit citadel). You have to get used to the fact that BBs can one or two shoot you if you let them hit you, so you should keep your distance and try to be unpredictable with your turns while peppering them with constant HE fire. The guns are extremely reliable and with AP you are the bane of every other cruiser, while HE works wonders against everything else. The penetration is even good enough that you can also use AP against BBs showing you their sides.
