Colorado is not so bad. I have it and it's pretty good ship (after hull upgrade of course). Colorado requires different playstyle. Since it has 37 sec reload time you should stay as far as possible from the enemy. Engaging enemy at 10 clicks is a very good way to die quickly but shooting from 18+ clicks will give you much higher chances of surviving a duel.
