I'd love to try it but the stupid notion WG have of forcing divisions means I'm struggling to find a game.

Had I been an international hockey fan maybe I would have heard of him. But I'm not and don't and probaby will never read of him again. Not sure why WG are promoting him as such, is this a form of nationalism WG are promoting? Who knows. I don't mind, there is no harm done and the misson sets, etc. are welcome for flags and signals and a 1:1000 000 000 000 000 chance of getting a ship, but I couldn't give a hoot about patches, meaningless flags, or overly expensive crates. I'm a guy, it might sound sexist, but I value things that have a function, a purpose. Yes I like good looking ships, great effects and realism to the point it helps immerse me in the game, but I care very little for aesthetic things like silly patches and flags that do nothing in the game but satisfy a psychlogical need that some have to hoard, made especially worse by the fact they are pixels and cannot be hold in your hand

RPF was an unnecessary addition to the game with WG probably wanting to speed up gameplay and / or allow lesser able players a better chance at survival. It was not needed, not called for, and hotly contested by quite a few forumites back in the day, yet for some unknown reason WG completely ignored the concerns, didn't respond to them satisfactorily at all, and yet implemented it anyways because hey, a few developers knew better than us. It ruins tactical dd gameplay, makes flanking hard to impossible, especially in competitive gameplay like ranked or clan battles. Peoples arguments are as usual rather weak in saying 'well, no-one uses it', 'use it yourself', 'we cannot justify using it on many ships', etc. but its still there, in the game being used by a lot of people and it does give an advantage. I'm at the point it's a compulsory skill on all my ships because the advantage is that obvious. So what have WG done here: basically indirectly forced us to set aside 4 captain skill points for a must have skill. Ironically and in a massively hypocritical notion, I actually now like it and use it all the time. I cannot tell you how often this skill has allowed me to gain the advantage, I just don't think its use in more competitive modes should be allowed.

Because I run a premium account, most economic signal flags have a far lower value for me (I think you can get this idea right?). WG use these all as forms of currency or valuable goods but I think they over-estimate their value imho. When I purchase premium containers, I have to be honest in admitting it's only for a chance at one of the ships, but the price of these containers seems to be getting higher and higher for a roll-of-the-dice chance at getting something 'permanent' for the game. I don't buy these containers for the signal flags, I prefer permanent content for money, other than the consumptive premium time I purchase. Because of this, I cannot justify spending almost £4 on a single container just for signals, no matter their ability. Were it a £1 lower, maybe a little more enticing to pick up a few, but at the current cost for a '8's container? Not a freakin chance. Grossly over-valued.

Just a hash and rehash of the same stuff over and over and over again, even the camo's are becoming massively uninspiring. At what point will WG realise they can only flavour the same ol junk a couple of times before marginally intelligent people realise what they're doing? This is not adding new content to the game, this just makes me get really bored with it. We know it;s money for them, but again an attempt at the blatantly obvious cashgrab. I think stuff like this does more damage than good, so cash in WG while you can, I'll eventually cash out because of poop like this. Can they not see the long term damage they do to themselves?

Stop hoping for one and you'll eventually get one, but then again that's still hoping. Nah, just give up, set your mind at getting the resources and flags and nothing more.

That's great for you, but where in there did you have a say in voting 'in' any of the people in the EU? What of the infamous EU leader they all seem to be keeping at the top despite his many many public embarrassments? We all know what the EU began as, and in principle it's a truly romantic idea and lovely if it works, but the EU became something else. We do not need to be one EU 'country' to enjoy the benefits of each others company or countries. Different cultures will remain different cultures even when you fit them in a single room, you cannot change people in this way by trying to dilute cultures. All it takes is mutual respect and tolerance, why do we have to be in a club to experience that? We don't. Why do we need to be in the EU to experience police cooperation? How can they simply do away with centuries and centuries of benign cultural differences? They can't. How can they adopt a one-size-fits-all policy to all countries? they can't, yet they try all these things. I'm a proud European and respect all cultures, but do not feel we need to wear an identity badge called the EU to enjoy all the benefits of respecting each other. I'm proud to be British, proud of my heritage and identity, and do not in any way shape or form wish harm or hate anyone as much as I've been told I do simply because I voted in a particular way some people didn't like. England may have a sordid past in many respects, but it sure has a proud one too, and we can say the same for almost any country in the world, but if you choose to only look at the mistakes made then that's your issue and not necessarily a true view. The people and cultures within Europe are truly wonderful, many of these countries are really beautiful, but to act as if the EU is the only means we can enjoy peace and prosperity is a ludicrous sentiment. If it remained a transparent organisation maybe people would not resist as much, but it's not, it comes across as a vague and prejudiced hierarchy. It's already hard being a single vote in a country of over 65 million, how much more insignificant do you think your vote will become as part of the EU? Oh, that's right, we don't have a vote in anything EU related other than to leave it because they disregarded our concerns so quickly. Best wishes fella, just my opinion :)

With reference to the above, the translated to real life reasons, I presume, is you mean the following: 'It leads to bad publicity (negative comments too visible), and we need to punish people for saying bad things about us' Yes, I have always wondered about some comments and how they should be moderated, but perhaps someone can explain to me how moving the comments to the forums creates better visibility for great comments? The difference here is not everyone uses the forums, but lots of people will read the comments so WG wants to hide the bad publicity in the closet? It won't change my life for the better or worse so it doesn't really matter, but you know, the reasons.... Just saying, still love you guys though, just be honest about why. We're all your fiercest critics, but your biggest fans.

The flags are only useful for your next few ranked games, because if it goes the way it did for me this last ranked season I'll be staying at around rank 5. Therefore flags in such tiny quantities are utterly meaningless for me. Ranked battles are stressful, and we're not forced to play, but who can help it with the tedium of the standard grind through the tiers. We need more variety, but the varierty has to be worthwhile. WG are over-valuing their rewards again.

I breeze through the Royal Navy missions too quickly and then wait days for the next lot to become active.

No I'm not, reading too much into your gameplay, I'm reading into the information from your responses, but you are overly defensive which is not helping you.

You have to be careful how you approach this all, because the front you're putting up here is one of arrogance which in a sense explains to me why some people may take issue with you in game, and remember, all we have is your POV which could be bigoted and not the whole truth? A replay dispels this all. Try use a little tact if you want to earn respect. Stats do say something about you, there is no escaping this, but this doesn't mean other people shooting aren't being mean. There's a whole lot of prejudice in this game, put yourself in other peoples shoes and remember this is a team game. Also, you don't have to sit still to decide where to go or even wait to see how the distribution plays out. Bottom line is this: You wanted sympathy of sorts? All we have is your word against some unknown entities for apparently doing something to you. If you consistently get shot at then if you are not looking at yourself first to see if you are indeed doing something wrong then perhaps this is your very first mistake. People may react badly at times (or disproportionately), but you cannot simply dismiss it as them being the sole people responsible. How about you?
