Dude, we could be playing against many of the games actual developers and still whippin their asses. The guy could be the admiral of the Chinese navy and still suck at this game, it means nothing. It might be simply a theme common to their vocation in life.

Be patient guys and gals, WG will release a few more dd's in the future that will make the current OP ones look like theyve been nerfed - more money. Have many of you realised why you are complaining? The real reason and not some pretence crap, but the real reason why you yourselves are upset? Is it because you were killed by one or got outplayed by someone? My bet in most cases is yes. We got outplayed and hence the problem is the ship and not ourselves? We've all done it.

No matter what you do at times, you may end up losing. There are issues beyond our control. You have to stop caring about it so much....but now I need someone to convince me of this too. It's hard in a game that's so competitive.

Since ads were mentioned - Ads are intrusive and manipulative. We hate them but their goal is often not to get us to love them or the company that aires them - it's called brand imprinting. Brands are imprinted in your brain over time (genuine psychological stuff here, not the stuff of conspiracy legends) - impactful ads that stimulate more intense emotions are more successful at doing this. One day you walk into a store, you want to buy a new television or something, somehow you feel more confident in some brands and less in others. Ever thought about this? You just 'know' some brands, some from experience, some you'll never realise why, you won't even remember you hated that ad. Things stick in our heads and the stuff we feed our minds does have an impact over time to our interpretation of things, and helps develop biases we have. That said, despite my many misgivings about some of their decisions, I like WG, some really good guys and gals working there and thanks to the community team the communication does feel better than it ever was. So, congrats to WG, and also THANKS to EVERYONE that voted for them.

I know each one to his own, and I truly don't have an issue with how people do it, but never ever thought people to feel the need to spend that much, lol. What the hell am I doing wrong I wonder?

The are a couple of schools of thought, and I'm sure the principle applies to most battleships. One particular tactic is to stay at maximum range and as near to the map border as possible. This is regarded in many circles as the most effective means of staying alive, but unfortunately for those rapidly uptiering-without-experience-or-common-sense-newbies and die-hard armchair admirals, this tactic usually results in a fairly ok damage score, but very low win rate. This is because while you're alive for long, the rest of your team are not because they've been deprived of your ability to tank damage and draw fire. I'm sure you get the point, too far is bad for your team. This is a team game, go where you are needed. Assess how the game is playing out, learn to develop the ability to foresee how things may turn out, where the enemy seem to be gathering / pushing. You don't need to be in a cap zone, but you have other ways to help your team apart from using your hard hitting guns. At tier 10 you should be blind without your mini-map - this tells you everything you need to know on enemy movement game-wide, so be dynamic and learn to change tactic as and when required. When the enemy see the opponents BB's so far away from anywhere their cruisers and dd's get brave and contest cap areas. As a bb I always try to support cap areas, support cruisers and dd's, and if I have to tank damage I do (for a little while). There is nothing more discouraging to a cruiser who is trying to back up his dd in a cap area that a bb lurking close by.

My achievement today was I got chatbanned (again). I only told off a guy who was telling us what to do the second the game started, and then after he died continued to tell us 'think about what you did wrong guys'. The bloody nerve of some people, who the hell do they think they are? Talk about self-importance. Anyhoooo, 24 hours of silence is my reward for trying to remind some big mouths they're not that great themselves, haha. WG justice for you.

Yes, I think this too. But WG are trying to claw back value in their goods, by offering less of certain goodies for more money. The true value items for me in this game, and a view I share with quite a lot of friends I've played with over the ages, are the ships, doubloons, and now coal and steel. Camo's, consumables and signal flags are grossly, and I mean very grossly, overrated by WG and not worth the money. They seem to be offering us less and less of these but for more money it appears.

What follows is a personal opinion, nothing more.......so please don't take offence: The amount of money you have spent is INSANE, and I mean utterly insane. Beyond this I am at a loss for words how uninhibited some people are. You were obviously prepared to go all the way until you got the Belfast....That's my whole family Christmas budget, lool

Lets face it, I only look here to see if anyone has reported me being less than friendly, and happy to say so far so good lately, although I did get reported to my clan commander twice in recent times. One guy who literally sailed near the map border in his bb as far from any cap area he could got called out for his lack of courage. He then criticised my stats publicly, saying my WN8 was low. I didn't even know were using this crap in the game. His average stats were far lower than mine so when I pm'd him after the game he reported me to my clan commander making up some trashy story about him only shooting twice, etc. Sorry, I got distracted, but needed to share it with my many friends.

Yes, but no. Feeding money into the game indirectly aides its development, but to feed money into the game without expecting them the do their part will only lead to a one-sided affair, with us being seen as cash-cows. So no in the sense that we should not support WG 'in any possible way'.

I used to like WoT, played over 35000 games or so. Wot has massive power creep, artillery and worst of all it has premium ammo rendering all armour utterly useless. Those that can afford to run premium ammo all the time win, while others lag behind. The imbalanced games are more often than not imho and becomes frustrating. I'd be wrong to call WoWS perfect, because we all know there is still lots in it to improve, but at least my tier 8 can fight a tier 10, and the equivalent of arty (cv's) is soon to be dismantled (sorry guys - I'd want it to stay, but they can't seem to balance properly in its current state). I know we have fun and engaging mechanics like detonations, and I know that even though you fight hard you are often punished in score when your braindead team loses, but all in all WoWS is far better than WoT in many respects It has a steeper learning curve, and plays slower, but for old gits like me with slow brains I like to strategise how I'm going to ram a torp in a bb's bumhole and this game gives me time. In WOT you have no time, you either camp or get pawned if the enemy team is stronger (it's still fun at times though). Oh, and let's talk about the obvious, WoWS is ships. I prefer the navy over a tank anyday (even though I like both) so go enjoy your tanks mate. Many of us have been there, done that and remember, WG created both games...so you're not actually punishing anyone by running from WoWS to WoT. You're still feeding the same bank account. TTFN

Cossack is not broken, its fine. Leave it alone. We have to wait a while anyways before realistic stats about its 'new performance' become available. Your 3 or 4 games are not a big enough sample size and you may be a better player than the average joe.

He's not insulting you mate, he's simply saying your wins had more to do with the increased chances you gave yourself through your spending rather than luck. If someone had spent £270 on containers they have more chances of a ship than someone who spends far less. You're right in saying you're free to spend what you want, no need to get so defensive.

And yet the people selling the hot coffee which was labelled hot coffee still lost liability claims against them because the labelling was not clear enough - this is a sad fact of life. Common sense cannot be assumed and labelling is not always clear. I mentioned previously that most of you are making the distinction in hindsight (additionally as seasoned veterans with existing knowledge of WG), which is very easy to do but shows a definite bias toward only making sense of it all after the fact, not before. The fact remains the distinction between Massachusetts and Massachusetts B is not clear enough, especially for newer players. There is not enough distinction in a single letter to the less informed. Anyone trying to emphasise that the fault lies with the buyer in this case is only partially right, because given the confusion created and already seen so many times, there is definite ambiguity with WG's marketing and they are wrong in this, their message is certainly confusing. I'm sorry people, but as obvious as you think it is, it's not, and you are very wrong. Feel free to argue differently, it's natural to reject other peoples views over ones own, even in the face of fact. The upside is people can ask for a refund, but I bet WG are banking on many not doing this. There is no doubt this is dubious marketing, even if unintentional. We need to stop assuming what is obvious to us is obvious to everyone. We are then guilty of ignorance in the same vein as those we accuse of ignorance. Have a lovely lovely day!

But, before you feel sorry for me, I got the massachsetts B from one of the few Black friday containers I purchased, and now got the original massachusets from one of the free santa containers WG gave us.
