Shoving Submarines/New fix Carriers into WoWs = shoving MBTs into WoT
Shaka_D replied to davidsturm6597's topic in General Discussion
The problem with your theory is that the arty and hence carriers are deadly to anything in the game and there are in essence no real counters to it for many of the classes other than those with potent AA, and even in this case a solo AA ship can be overcome thanks to the rng.- 103 replies

Shoving Submarines/New fix Carriers into WoWs = shoving MBTs into WoT

Maybe a good idea for cv's was to cap the tier at around 8 or something instead of going all the way to tier x- 103 replies

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Shaka_D replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Aboomination in his midway in a coop game...it was a close game, those bots fought hard for the first 10 seconds, then melted under the sheer weight of skill matched against them, and that was just aboomination and me. -
How is your "Dreadnought Marathon" coming along - will you be able to get her in time?

Not going to make it -
So once again unto the 'I'm angry because the ship is not OP?' and so feeling guity because of spent money on something that looks good but plays mediocre? There seems to be a lot of frustration and anger here, is it truly justified?

I don't assign much value to any of the signal or camouflages - I assign value to permanent things in the game. Signal and camo's are useful of course, but they are quite easily (and often are) wasted when you are assigned to a rubbish team and you cannot maximise the benefits from using them, and also when you're punished with pathetic rewards for being on the losing team, despite the fact you've played well and carried as hard as you could. So no, camo's and signals are of extremely low value to me. I'm also a premium player so premium time is a waste of time for me because I just renew it every month or whenever it runs out - so premium time doesn;t feel as valuable to me. The campaign feels massively over-valued because of all this.

@OP, some of us have been waiting for centuries, but because we're on Santa's naughty list for saying some pretty bad things about WG's elves, we will only ever get to dream!! Enjoy it and say no more.

This is all pretty subjective to be honest. I've not purchased PEF, nor will I, but from what I've seen ingame so far relates directly to player skill. Bad players yoloed, died and cried, good players ended up with pretty good scores, even dominating quite a few of the ranked battles I've seen so far. Are we all expecting to buy an OP ship nowadays and when it's not OP it's not good enough, but when it is OP its bad, or when someone kills you with one it's definitely OP. Life sucks man!

The bundles are here! "THE MIGHT OF STEEL" COMBAT MISSION question.
Shaka_D replied to Blixies's topic in General Discussion
The only word to use here is greedy. They're undermining their own integrity and apparently we're all stupid. I'm not going to be in this case. Good luck to you all with your own choices. -

[Official] Wargaming Response to Steel Concerns
Shaka_D replied to WarshipsPodcastEU's topic in General Discussion
I'd personally like to thank WG for the opportunity to earn steel this way. I very rarely have time for clan battle play because of my home dynamic. I know many here might hate the idea of others having what they have, but please bear in mind I put in game time in my own way, play hard and try to win, albeit not in a clan wars as often as I'd like, so letting me 'earn' the steel another way is appreciated.- 67 replies

Whats the point of collecting and saving all this free XP then ffs. I have over a million I've worked hard to gather like many others. Can WG not give us a little information on their plans so I can plan what to do with it all otherwise this is beyond a joke and now into the realms of ridiculousness?

This has to be the line of the century for WoWS. The persons behaviour is so bad that not only does he not deserve to play ranked battles, or scenarios, or even randoms....But NO, he even does not deserve to play coop battles. He must be really bad to warrant this label. I've almost heard it all now, lool.

Nice, the RNG mm blessed you with a lucky team, now suffer for the next 3000 games when it doesn't.

Xmas crates nerfed and reward basis has been changed

Tell me something all you l lovely people. What would stop WG from changing drop rate settings in the background with no-one noticing? All that the figures give us is a single average does it not and as the quantity of drops builds all we will ever get is an overall average. So can WG institute a relatively higher drop rate at the beginning of a marketing campaign, thereby letting the increased drops of good items (and people advertising their 'rewards') generate a major hype about it, leading to more and more sales as everyone tries to cash in on it? They then drop it later, or as someone suggested have a hard cap on ship numbers available for drops? In the meantime, we fall prey to biases leading us to buy more in the hope we can recoup our losses when we initially don't get the rewards we wanted or we get rewards we feel do not justify the initial cost. If this is the case, WG would be guilty of a most evil sin. Who regulates the standards here?? And more importantly, how will anyone ever know if they do this? This could be a minefield laid by WG which we are walking on with no transparency on how things work. This, I think, is one area in the gaming industry that is severely lacking so It looks like Belgium is on to something good. -

Hey, you said something nice for a change. -
Many will disagree with me on this, but I find RL to be a valuable tool on almost every single one of my ships. It's a skill you learn to depend on and intelligence you cannot do without. I cannot tell you how many times it has saved me from dd's and torps, and how many times it's helped me hunt dd's down. I know there are other skills which some may argue are more beneficial, but I won't compromise on it, and have started fitting it on everything as time goes by. Call me silly, but it's helped my game to the point it gives me an 'unfair' advantage over others. They should never have introduced it, but I play to win, and it's one of the skills that can turn a game. Anyone using it can inform a team where to look, where a threat is coming from by pinging the minimap. On a destroyer, an absolute skill requirement, no questions asked imho.
