What a ridiculous grindfest...WG don't seem to foster family values with policies in place like these, no matter what they say.

Must say I feel the same, missed out on the first opportunity.

No mate, despite being one of the first to apply I've never been given an invite. You have to be well-loved by WG to qualify for this, or at least not a troublemaker like me, haha. Apparently invites were random, but only as random as WG say they are.

For some really silly reason I'm actually looking forward to getting a few Xmas crates....it's become a little tradition with me to pick up a few and hope for the best. Hope they're not monstrously overpriced though, that would be a downer. I only have around 9 ships or so I don't have....so any one would be fine, although to be perfectly honest I hardly get to play that much and the over 200 ships in my port never get played. Might be time to look at resetting a few trees...How have you folks done it? Reset trees you enjoyed playing or those you hated?

I'm not making my whole holiday about a grind, so thanks WG for the opportunity, but no thanks. I want to enjoy the game, not remember this festive season as an intense rush to get something done. This holiday is about family, food and cheer HeY hO

I wish brother, haha. I think my frustration come from being stuck at rank 10 with not much time to play...I win 4 games and progress to rank 9, then the next 4 games I see players of the type I explained before who launch 6km torp's from 15km away, dd shimas taking on darings and klebers in a gunfight or completely oblivious to radar ships and dying in seconds, bb's grouping together and taking the long way around caps, cruisers staying broadside all game until being deleted, guys with stats so low they make bots look like unicums, etc. These are all rookie mistakes, and I mean real rookie mistakes that you would not expect to see players make at tier 10 and especially in ranked, but goes to show how WG simply don't have a clue about how to structure a fair game. They want everyone to be able to participate in a notion of fairness but then unfairly punish those trying to play a little more seriously...ranked is not a fun mode, it's highly competitive and I think everyone realises this apart from those players I mentioned above.

WG won't do anything about it, it's been the same argument for years so there is simply no point in hoping for any proverbial spark to ignite a fire...They're good at talking but not good at listening unless it suits them somehow. That's the nature of their attitude. It should never be called ranked mode, there should be a cap of some sort toward entry or at the very least a new way of determining who retains their star. WG know there are massive flaws in their system yet it's convenient for them to simply do nothing.....argumetum ad antiquitatem.

Guess I'm not that happy with the fact I fight hard for a star and then the next game get a guy (in tier 10) with 18000 games and a win rate far below average who refused to help in the battle and the win quickly falls into a loss...because of one guy. Then argued with me he was only playing for fun. I tried to explain to him we're all in it for fun but we need to try win in ranked (the point of any of these games) and he flat refused to listen to anything...and then it got ugly...uuuggghhh. And we want to cull badgers and stuff but we let very very stupid people walk around breeding....how is this rational or even remotely intelligent? How WG allow incredibly substandard players into a competitive mode who really do nothing but make other players miserable I will never understand. We want to have some fun too. These guys are not in it to try win, they can barely steer their ships. This same guy launched his hindenberg torps at an enemy BB over 15km away......I kid you not.....over 15km. He has over 18000 games and got to this level and still thinks like a neanderthal in tier 10. It's bordering criminal he's allowed to play, and its not fair to others. WG are allowing this to happen without some sort of basic skill entry requirement into ranked.

Does anybody know when this update will be released. WG are too quiet on this and we're already on the 5th December. Where is the xmas build up..?

Mate, I only bought two premium BF containers to try my luck and when I got nothing I felt pretty crappy that I'd just wasted money. Spent no more. Your spend makes mine look like kindergarten stuff, but I admire your good spirit about it all though....lol. Don't worry, maybe we'll get xmas containers soonish..not going big on those either. I just don't trust WG.

@Corvi But I think he may have been chatbanned cause all he could do is use voice commands in global chat. Funny thing is it was my first game straight out of chatban myself....people are such soft touches these days. Seem to be getting chatbanned for nought much of the time so whats the point, may as well earn it now and then, haha. So I criticise when I feel it's due to help people think about next time, it's done to me too. All part of the heat of battle in competitive mode. Sympathies Corvi!

Not much so far, camos (got millions of them - so value there is negligable), Wg premium time (dont need it - valued as very low to me). Basically I think when WG took them offline for a bit the drop rates might have been tweaked. Can see how low my faith is in WG at present, lol, and they don't disappoint, sinking my faith in them to newer lows each time.

Are you new to this game or just a reroll? Just curious as to the level of intellect I am meant to respond with toward your post. If you were new I could offer some words of wisdom, if you're a reroll I'll rather let natural selection take care of you, if you even know what that means .

CV's in ranked at this level are utterly game destroying. I cannot come to terms with how lacking this idea is of common sense. Three games, three cv's, dd gone in minutes. Cannot outpace planes, the cv hunts dd's, no chance at all. So I know, lets disregard a whole class of ships just to cater for the absolute minority. Genius. Well done WG, another admission to the Guiness Book of Backward Thinking for you. You may be able to code, but thinking is obviously not one of your strengths. No words for how dismal ranked has become.
