When and if I decide to test it myself I'll leave whatever feedback I have in the correct place, until then my initial impressions and opinions are based on the idea of what apears to be another ludicrously silly idea yet again by WG and this type of subjective impression has no place in a feedback forum where they want objectivity (I presume).

Whats the point of leaving feedback when its so wholeheartedly ignored by WG? And what is defined as 'constructive'? Only the things you folks are suggesting or are we allowed to have different opinions which are genuinely taken seriously by you? The former seems to be the current status quo. The way you folks have steered this game since just before christmas, it seems 2020 will be the year you break the game for me personally. What a sad day.

I hate to rain on anyones parade, but 'adjustments' like this have been asked for so many times already.....and nought has really become of it. To be honest, I don't see a problem with them doing both, i.e. adding new content AND making adjustments along the way, as long as it's all done with forethought instead of via the elbow jerk fashion they've been using to make all their decisions of late. Second to this, it seems WG find player feedback annoying when it doesn't fit within their own view of the path the game needs to take, anyone running contrary to their dubious decision making is just a hindrance imho.

In many of the ranked games Ive played dd numbers have been low, with me only taking mine out when I see no cv's in the lineup. I'm presuming others might feel the same and when they see an empty cv count they join in greater numbers, haha. Amazing how one class of ship has so much influence of people wanting to play another class. I don't feel this way with cruisers or bb's at all. WG has messed up big time here, no matter their excuses or their justifications. Their is no way they can explain this one away.

Ok, so the friesland can kill planes better than other dd's, but so far all I've read are anecdotal accounts of it and not nearly enough samples of evidence to say it's a permanent strong enough counter to cv's at all. And lets talk about all the other tiers of dd's thoroughly owned by cv players, and that's only on a 1v1 basis, when in reality all a cv needs to do is spot and dd's are blasted by other ships..not to even mention radar....smoke takes time to recharge and playing dd's hugging your bigger ships runs contrary to dd gameplay. I just wish the sock puppets in this thread and WG wannabe employees could for once in their life show a little integrity and honesty. CV's are the proverbial cherry on top of destroying dd gameplay, going way beyond the normal rock paper scissors effect. WG know it, and many here (WG) know it too yet it suits them to employ transparent unfounded propoganda to muddy the waters. A lot of people here need to eventually realise you will never convince someone when their motives are not to engage in sincere debate, but to neutralise negative sentiment.

Agree. One must never make the mistake of blindly correlating being a good player with wisdom, common sense or cleverness. Those that do are clearly under the influence of the halo effect and can't spot the woods for the proverbial trees....

The problem is this: You seldom see the same people afk......though you will see different people so do we send lots of once-off tickets - the guy may have DC'd. The overhead of saving replays is a rather excessive expectation of players who simply want to go in and have a little fun - I don't go into a game at the ready to police bad behaviour so other than random screenshots there's little I am prepared for. I was in a game where a rather popular twitch streamer was messing around lightheartedly and threw a game in a challenge by his viewers.... the stream came at my (and others) expense, personally denying me the opportunity to capitalise on some of those rather rare signal flags which I don't have many of AND which I had spent 1000 dubloons on to get from a random container to farm free xp. I asked him why he did it, he explained it was just a challenge. What do I do about this? Nothing of course and I'll not get my signals back either. The issue at hand is WG need to rethink their rather wincentric formula that punishes those who play better on a team with [edited] who can't be bothered to realise they're in a team-based game where rewards are based on wins. This is your formula and your sandbox, we're playing by rules set by you which punishes good play with lost stars in ranked and losses in randoms (and not even mentioning the lucky farmers who keep their star in ranked - so much of this is not about good play). Losers on the winning team score higher and retain their star even when grossly underperforming compared to some guys on the losing team. Remove this nonsense and you'll see a lot of frustration slip away. Sorry, long but I had things to say, lol.

It really is funny how the general real life thinking ability of people translates into gameplay - you only need to look at the mindless wonderings and meanderings of some players to realise that if that person were standing in front of you you'd be looking into vacant eyes...devoid of basic intelligence.

To be fair they do answer now and then and contribute towards our 'understanding' of these really complex and complicated issues, although mostly in a really patronising manner because we couldn't possibly be right about anything, right? They probably go home at night really frustrated that their playerbase is overly demanding and too whiney, but what they don't see if that much of this comes from their intolerance, lack of empathy, their own sense of entitlement and the way they've dehumanised us. Once they were very different, communicative and down to earth, especially when they were first starting out. They had a far more sincere reationship with their playerbase back in the day, but the moneys got too good and they've become too arrogant. They need to go back to their roots methinks.

A new CV? All bad things comes to those who wait.

It's nice to see you actively engage in debates like this, it's important to have these uncomfortbale discussions and noone should take feedback personally - expression is important. That said, CV's impact the game and the way people play it far more than the other classes, I think you pretty much know this by now. They render dd gameplay in competitive modes like ranked grossly uncomfortable, another point you (should) already know by now. And yes, their presence in a competitive mode has removed the choice for me to play my favourite class, the dd, so I do speak personally. CV's in ranked don't just impact dd gameplay in a small way, they almost nullify it. We've had WG keep a close eye on things for ages, ...how much longer do you need given this type of monitoring has been going on for longer than I can remember? Are WG actively trying to remove all tactical and strategic value from the game? I like CV's but I still don't think you folks spend much time considering the impacts and feedback relating to their presence in certain modes - and it's disappointing to see the supposed 'minority' waved off as an automatic response to dismiss valid claims being taken seriously, though I do applaud you sticking to the chosen company line. #minorityrulz

Mmmmmm, might need to listen to flamu a little more then. Boycott as a mechanism will definitely work, but rallying support is never going to happen on the scale necessary. Unless via clan action with clan leaders pursuading those they are able to influence or convince within their clan - Perhaps clan loyalty will entice clan members to support their clan if a decision is made to this end? Multiple clans boycotting events and decisions somehow would work beautifully, lol. Clans provide identity and a platform for competition, but could be used to far greater effect if harnessed to their full potential...but do as many people take the game as seriously or want to see it improved or based around fair and balanced principles like we do? Not likely i reckon.

When you do get the opportunity to ask, for example in a stream, I notice a lot of the hard hitting questions are ignored and the more benign ones embraced. We simply have no political power here to persuade them otherwise. Our only real fightback can come through the community contributers and their streams - but the question remains is whether the CCs have it in them to say something without being afraid to upset WG.

I'm pretty sure we can classify this as late february, so where is the Cheshire my lovelies? And I the only ones that finds the rewards for these tokens in the armory extremely unimgainative and boring? Apart form the captain, the rest are uninspiring.

Observations from a couple of games in ranked last night: How surprising to see players bunch up in ranked and move off to one point on the map around one buff point and all stay and die there one by one while the enemy commands 95% of the map How surprising that despite being asked to look at how far they are from anywhere of value in the game they ignore you, despite kind requests. How surprising that the cv player steers his cv directly toward the enemy fleet early in the game despite being told he was doing so and you get to watch him die for no reason, and then he says 'damn'. How surprising for players in a team to completely ignore three ships with around 5k hp left to fire at a bb further away with almost full hp. I got tired very quickly of all these surprise actions by people last night in the few games I played. Just too much excitement to bear. I am by no means perfect, but there is a certain something special in watching the thought processes in people (or total lack thereof) playing out in a game right before your eyes.

And then they found Elvis alive and well, and world hunger ended and all politicians and game developers put the best interests of their players first.

Meanwhile at WG: This problem does highlight the very serious issue that it seems there is not much forward thinking happening, or anticipation of the respective impacts of decisions like this...do they play their own game as much? Maybe its time to scrap their own definition of player feedback and finally accept what most of the gamer world knows it to be.

And so this becomes the sole guide of what ship to take, the fact there will be a cv to contend with. Gone are the days of choosing a good alrounder to do battle with, lol. Going to take my smolensk and cv into ranked this evening, just to test out the theories and to explore why its all so contentious...cannot moan about something if I have no related experience now can i? I just need someone to moan about a particular BB and DD being overpowered and I then have my 'fantastic four' ships to use in ranked...woohoo. Halfway there.
