Why, as a person from the UK I freely admit that I really only want to play RN ships, which as we know will only be released after I die of old age. The brit line in WoT was not the strongest, but it was still my favourite. There is nothing wrong in taking pride in your nations achievements in engineering. Germany were masters of engineering, they produced some top class vessels.

It's good that you realise this now, many of us had held on to hope for a long long time with world of tanks before eventually quitting it for good. WG have no loyalty program, they show time and time again the players and player numbers are taken for granted and they can simply do any crap they feel like doing, with one of the most impotent community teams I've seen in my many years of online gaming. Client relations must rate so low on their radar that we barely even exist as real people on the other end of the proverbial line, we're simply wallets and statistical information they can use to quote how large their playerbase is in their advertisements. WG have no heart for their playerbase, a sad and simple fact.

I noticed this too, quite convenient for him (and them). Probably because they know there is major discord with wargamings ridiculous bundled deals but they have no real explanation for it. It does us a great disservice the way they conveniently ignore issues like this. Makes you wonder doesn't it? If they do pop on it'll be with the reason 'but we don't make the decisions' blah bloody blah. Where is our community team when we need them? Nowhere to be seen is where. Hope karma has it's way with them full on.

How are they trying to limit the impact of them hitting the game if they offer non-bundled sales on the RU server for a lot less money, their largest playerbase by far. A good example being the tirpitz. Thats a load of tosh if that's their explanation.

Poor argument! The whole 'you don't have to play' is suppose to be some people's 'ace in the hole' statement mean't to stop people complaining by reminding them they can leave? Lol. Let's just keep throwing that in there then, the most obviously flawed statement mean't to neutralise all arguments about extortionate pricing structures from WG. People want to play the game and they wouldn't mind supporting it more, and most are holding cash in their hand ready to spend but wargaming keep wanting more and more, making the ships a lot of folk want out of their reach by throwing in ludicrous bundles hardly anyone needs. The WG offerings border on criminal and clearly reflect a company wanting to raise lots of cash very quickly or who know how 'easy' the EU is in terms of handing out their money and who will pay anything for something that should cost half the price. They're cashing in on our need for instant gratification. The ultimate fools here are us. Shame on WG and shame on us.for continuously supporting them. They may not be doing anything illegal but they're sure not making many friends here on the forums, the players who take the time to care about the game beyond simply playing it.

The answer is because they don't give a damn, and because our EU team doesn't really argue on our behalf (an automatic and very fair assumption based on zero explanation from them on the reason we're sold massive bundles - and don't even give me that 'keep the ships rare' rubbish). They DO know by now how much we have complained about the bundled deals, so ignorance of the fact is not an excuse. It's now simply down to blatantly laughing in our faces. We'll never truly know why we're offered premium ships at extortionate prices, only what they tell us, which you can safely assume is a load of tosh. Convenient too is how they all 'disappear' when the anger hits the forums only to return later with a pathetic excuse of some sort and future promises, if they add to the posts at all. Tonight I decided they can shove that golden carrot up their *&%$es.

Are they bundling premium time so players are given are falsely given the impression the game is easy to play and easy to finance (in-game). What happens when the 'new players' have their premum time run out and they're faced with the realisation that they technically need more premium time to continue simply having fun without losing a lot of money or by having to continue playing low tier ships in order to progress at all? Is this the 'hook' WG are using now? Today marks an all-time low point for me and WG. I quit playing WoT and now it looks like I'm doing the same with WoWS before it even gets fully under way. I'm done waiting for them, I'm not waiting until 'Christmas' or the next patch, or whatever other pathetic excuse they use to delay or defer things. The truth is the EU community team are impotent and completely disconnected from whatever their HQ decides. They serve no real purpose since we see no real benefits from a player perspective. Sorry to have to say it this way but my disappointment with them is full-tilt.

I can see your point about the new player bit, but they're forgetting about their current players, and while I think the idea of loyalty points / rewards, etc. for as you say a free premium for the first 1000 games, we know WG have never had a policy of rewarding loyalty in that sense. It's a great idea, but their pricing excludes / alientates a lot of existing players. Is it their mentality that they have us 'hooked' already so there is no need to bother about us anymore?

The problem is players use all sorts of excuses to justify spending that kind of money and the more that do it the more we all get screwed in the long wrong, because of weak-minded fools convincing themselves it's an early present or whatever. Simply laughable what lengths we go to to pursuade ourselves it's totally worth it.

I was hoping to buy this ship when it went on sale again. Excited when I saw it in the shop but the price of the bundled deal floored me and so I wave goodbye to the warspite again. They have got to be kidding. I seriously won't continue with this bs any longer. I said I wouldn't support them any longer if they kept doing extorionate bundled deals and they've gone an done it again..to absolute hell with all of them, I'm tired of the community team trying to play the victims of 'we don't have control over what hq decides' etc. Their job is to bridge the gap between the players and headquarters and clearly they cannot do that at all..or won't do it. They know how we feel, so where are their comments? Where are the explanations we want as to why we continuously get these rip-off bundled deals? Where are they and just wtf is their job?? They chased me away from WoT, they've now done the same for me from WoWS. Well done WG, well done indeed.

Clearly you are one of their 'easy customers', too easily pleased by what you justify as a genuine f2p game. We all know it's f2p, but let's be honest here, only up until a certain point where the game, because of costs both ingame and out, 'forces' you to pay, and I use the phrase 'forces' loosely. It's more like coerces you to pay. They gather cash in like harvesting a crop instead of a slow steady stream. I'm also sorry to say but too many players both at WoT and here have been complaining for a long long time that WG have started an aggressively money hungry philosophy. Where have you been during this time, sleeping, not paying any attention whatsoever? Funny that the Russian playerbase get the single tank and ship sales but the EU is always saddled with great big bundled deals, especially lately. Have you ever asked yourself why and been truly objective about it? I played Wot from beta too and things HAVE changed for the worse in terms of money grabbing from WG. It's hideously expensive and what you feel you can afford is your point of view alone and probably relates solely to your own affordability. It's one of the very reasons I quit WoT and so help me if they again wave bundled deals at me or continue with their carefree disregard for their players then my personal participation in this game will be far shorter, and by that I mean imminent departure. 7 of us started playing this game together a while back, only I remain, the other 6 left for partly these reasons with WG employing the same cash grabbing tactic they have carried over here from WoT. How many more have done / will do the same and just how incredibly bad is it that so many have complained so early in the games lifecycle? You think WG care at all? Not a chance; WG care nothing for you personally or as a player, so why would you honestly defend their actions in this regard when quite clearly it's extremely transparent. I'm pretty sure most of us understand WG need to operate their business, but at the level they're curently operating at the author of the article clearly has an accurate estimation of their methods. He is spot on. You Sir, are not.

The word 'free' is incredibly relative isn't it? Just how free is it? It's not fully free, only partly so. WG use the word free too loosely IMHO. Also, their prices for premium ships are extortionate and there is no doubt they exploit players who are easily tempted. No-one forces anyone to spend, but tapping into player weaknesses with heavily expensive bundled deals wasn't something they did a while back in Wot, but it now seems to be their policy...why is that exactly? And now they've started with the same practice in WoWS. The reviewer got it 100% correct.

It's the same for a lot of ships sadly, the stock ships of higher tiers are often worse than the fully upgraded ship 1 tier lower. Does seem a little stupid to me personally since all that work put in to grind a line to get to a ship that is worse than the one you've just been playing.

To actually make a calender simply to annouce 2x events? Seems meh and then lol, and then arrgghh! Crazy exciting stuff WG...not.

@OP: WG officially released the game on the 17th September 2015 not to make us happy, since they forgot to include their current players in the release, but principally to be able to advertise the game aggressively, as admitted by themselves recently. They couldn't advertise it as a 'beta' product, but now they can adsvertise as an officially released game so I assume the dropping numbers, if true, will only be shortlived. We'll probably soon find ourselves inundated with hordes of reapers joining the game and swelling numbers. That's my assumption anyways.

Ranked battles are great with just 7v7 and started off very well with me moving up to rank 16 on the cusp of rank 15 after a few days of intermittent play. Then yesterday and today saw me drop 3 ranks with a massive string of defeats. The teams when I started were great, we all communicated and played together..job done. Then the last two day happened. A few of us tried to come up with a plan but 1/3 to 1/2 of our team each and every game ignored the very polite chat and sailed off solo. whether they could understand english or not is a mystery, and quite a few even sailed straight toward the enemy by direct line of sight. Games were over fast and became impossible to win, and seriously makes me question why some people are playing ranked battles in the first place. It felt like they were bots the way they simply sailed straight to their death with almost zero damage done, and not a peep in chat from them. Other times the teams just died, terrible shots missing the enemy vessels by miles with the enemy ships aiming true and hitting with each salvo. Very demotivating stuff since I played my heart out in each battle and lost due to a few inconsiderate team mates. I may not be on top form every game, but seriously, tonight was ludicrously bad gaming. Also, so many games in ranked battles had the enemy with more tier 7's than we had....in a few games the enemy had multiple tier 7 BB's while we only had tier 6's. Maybe I'll give it a miss for a while until after the next patch or something.

Once again another post by another player complaining about OP vessels of some kind. For FLIP sakes, just get the american counterparts and play them. WG will gather stats and hopefully iron out some issues but just because someone blew you up doesn't equate to you coming onto the forums and broadcasting the nerf bat sermon. Your own gameplay is not phenominal judging from your stats and I can't see anywhere where you have played any of the US cruisers, so my point of 'someone blew you up' could seriously just point to the fact that someone outplayed you and not necessairly because you had the disadvantage in vessel. Ship happens in games and there is the rng to contend with, but starting a witch hunt on particular ships and ship classes because you couldn't beat them is idiotic. Look to your own playstyle first. Just another case of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

That settles it then, we only need to nerf you!
