You do realise that you've exaggerated profoundly here. Was it intended to be for maximum effect? Most, and I emphasise the word 'most', players have simply reacted to the way they were treated by WG. Communication by WG on the forums has ALWAYS been poor in general, all the way from WoT (although I feel less so here in WoWs). Perhaps you should also rethink your interpretation of community officials, i.e. to deal with their community, the positivies and the negatives, but somehow they spent more time on reddit than on the actual WG forums. Why is this? You've clearly not been around long enough. No-one said it would be an easy task, but it's a task that needs to be done and no-one can be pleased all of the time. The thing is this, the forumites are the people who tend to care more about the game and the way it's going, so in this sense they form a vital link. Why ignore this link, why not just embrace it? If there is not enough time to do this then it's a problem that needs sorting. We all realise that WG is a business, and a lot of the way the business is perhaps run is derived from a more '(Bel)russian' type authoritarian business model (who knows, but it feels like it), so some changes need to go certain directions. We also understand that the community members are not authoritive over all decision-making. I played WoT from beta, and communication has ALWAYS been a contentious issue, always, and one of the most complained about issues. I feel it less here though and in general find the CM's far more easy to reach here than in WoT. We even have the supertesters on the forums, some arrogant and all-knowing, some really nice people. Perhaps using the 'sups' to bridge the gap to bring us all closer together would be a good idea, but everyone needs to come to the party with a postive attitude and much much more maturity. We all have bad days, but we have to move forward with open discussions and contructive criticism, and we need to be willing to accept criticism as well as we dish it out. I'm sorry if my initial point seems lost, it took me a long time to write this post inbetween coffee making and dishwashing while chatting to the Mrs.

Aha, but now I have you my padawan, ultimately WG are on our payroll - we are those cashcows. When it comes down to it the moderators work for us, but since they're human they're prone to a lot of the everyday 'human' stuff, like brilliance, loyalty, kindness, professionalism, but also ignorance, bigotry and powermungering. Some of these traits are naturally good, some are self-serving, it all depends on which side of the bed people wake up on. As for supertesters, there are some I like talking to and there are some that I get the feeling are a little high up on the proverbial pedestal. All in all I wouldn't want to paint them all with the same tarbrush, maybe it's something they need to work on within their ranks with a little sincerity and honesty. There is no time for cowardice or poliical correctness. Stuff like this needs to be sorted, not buried.

What a load of tosh! If someone has a losing streak of 10 then it's not a fact that someone else is experiencing a winning streak of 10. And, sometimes losing is not simply down to poor comms, there are many factors other than comms. You make it sound incredibly easy to solve the riddle of losing games, in reality it's not so, so your advice here is so generic it does little in the way of inspiring confidence. The overall win/ lose equation may be balanced for the whole game or even each day, each hour, but this can only regard overall games played, won or lost, not individual win / loss streaks. I lost so many games a few days back that I stayed in rank 15 for two days, well over 30 games played. On the third day, with a despondent attitude and not really performing as well as I could and as well as I did the two days I lost so much, I won 8 games in a row from hardly any effort at all. It's certainly not balanced in this sense either and fell completely onto luck as to who I had on my team. You can fight hard and play well and still lose, then you can cruise like a tourist and win. Even with great team comms and coordination teams can lose badly. There is also whatever RNG you find yourself being allocated somehow.

So in the interest of balance, I need to report that after two full days and over 30 games stuck in rank 15, last night I logged in and won 8 games in a row without even trying hard. Now at rank 12 and waiting for the next lotto draw!

I still think it's really sad that WG have made US CV's so hard to play, espeically in raanked. They,re outclased completely by IJN CV's, especially when you compared CV's like the lex like the shokaku in ranked. One should not outshine the other so dramatically.

Let me guess, you play a BB predominantly? So do many others and this is why we MUST have CV's because at the moment ranked is being ruined by BB's and DD's, but especially the BB part.

Still in rank 15, 2 days in rank 15 and over 30 games. Can anyone else beat this streak of bad luck? Don't think I ever felt this frustrated this early on in ranked. May even give it up and go back to randoms. I simply don;t have the will power to continue like this, it's not competitive at all. Play rubbish, lose, play well but not well enough for top spot, lose again, etc etc.

I must agree with you here and more, I have over 35k games in WoT and migrated here due to the fact there is less worry about XVM (I hope it stays away) and no premium ammo. In general, apart from me, the community is great. I'm a bad tempered git and can have a filthy mouth at times (Sorry about this everyone). The forums are less toxic, the community team is more involved and gameplay is a little slower. I can go up against a two tier higher BB and still do damage. In WoT it's difficult to play games when you're lowest tier making you more reliant on premium ammo. There is also a far more elitist attitude in WoT. The MM is still shite in both in many ways, but in general tanks can't beat playing ships, they're gorgeous and WG have done a great job with them.

This is promising to be the worst ranked season of all. Ships spawning within firing and spotting distance of each other, too many BB's dominating games, damn. 15 games wasted and sitll on rank 15. How could rank 15 have become a cesspit of fail so quickly already?

Nice to see that ranked battles has brought out all the arrogant arsewipes from their little hidy holes. 2 games in and already people criticising every aspect of your gameplay and reporting you for nothing, lol. Also funny to see how many armchair admirals are out there 'deciding' tactics for the team and then when you vote against it they says 'it's too late, we already decided', especially when he was the only one deciding anything. Another lol. I see I'm going to be using my ignore option a lot, but sad when we need communication in ranked battles, but because of these nasty A's it becomes a necessity to get rid of them.

mmm, just happened to me too, now can't reconnect. Although we lost the battle with a terrible team already at rank 15. From my point of view I hope the lost star does not count

We spawned into new dawn and the enemy were literally 13km away from us.....in tier 8. So two of our ships that came into battle a little late were decimated by the enemy ships before they even started moving. WTF is this?????? This a joke?

In direct answer to the OP's question: Yes, the game is more or less enjoyable.

Haven't played enough to decide whether there's a nerf or not. The changes will definitely affect some more than others though. Camping BB slugs will be affected most no doubt. Welcome to the world of 'you need to contribute to your team's effort instead of sitting back letting others do all the dangerous work'. My cruiser is tired of BB players whining about lack of support when they spend most of teh game firing at whatever they please instead of helping the team push. Where I see a BB push, then I push with him. If he sits back then he can burn with all the fires of hades.
