Hahaha, I've checked it continuously since they published the vid on the Belfast on the portal, I can't tell you how many times, but I now have tennis finger. I'm so eager to get the Belfast I feel like a 6 year old kid waiting for Christmas Day.

Skill to an extent, that's why I didn't exclude it, I just said it was less about skill and more about game time. There are many players in rank 6 and 7 at the moment with below average stats, whereas a super fantastic smash box office super pro like me is still trying to break into rank 9, haha.

I'm sure all those players, many of them, with a lower than 50% winrate proves that people clearly can lose more than half? Law of averages be blowed. Some mathematical formulae cannot be applied willy nilly because we learned something at school once. What happens in theory and how it translates in real life are very often very different, theory does not always translate into reality, especially when trying to apply the principle on a single player's averages. But who knows, I don't even know what 'maths' means. The above text.....mine that is...is what I call blagging, I'm practicisng.

So i get to rank 9, 2 stars and start seeing a lot of rank 6 and 7 players on both teams. The problem is how are some of these guys getting to rank 6 and 7 so quickly when 2 games in a row, different players, I see BB's not moving from spawn, two afk ships not moving for at least the first 5 minutes, no camo on ships and these guys dying with hardly any score? And all on my teams, both games. Did I roll the unlucky lotto dice that I ended up with those lucky bastards who get carried every game? Because it seems I had all the 'carried ones' on my teams both games. Each game lost in minutes. WG need to change the name from 'ranked' battles to something with a little less emphasis on competitiveness, because these guys are not competitive at all, they're relying on being carried EVERY game and because they play so much they'll get to rank 1 whereas I won't because I simply don't have the time.

Ranked battles are far less about skill and more about how many games you put in, so play enough games and you should eventually get to rank 1. I've been in rank 10 and 11 for about a week now, cannot get to 9. I regard myself as a slightly above average player in terms of skill and even with this cannot get anywhere. I don't have the time to play large numbers of games so have resigned to never being able to reach rank 1, so merely play for the smaller teams and to see if I can get a few more flags. Keep trying, you'll get there.

ZombieCheese on the enemy team in a ranked battle on Atlantic...(I get Atlantic over and over again in ranked). Sadly his team lost, but I won't shed too much of a tear because I needed a win to stay in rank 10. Bad luck mate.

Dear WG, I know you are reading this. Please take a moment to empathise with the torment I am in. Since you put the article / video of the Belfast up on the portal I cannot sleep, I'm having nightmares. I cannot help myself but I keep looking at the premium shop hoping to see the Belfast in your store, hoping it pops up to purchase, but it's not there and my heart hurts. I repeat this process over and over, so you should be able to understand the pain I am now in. I suffer from instant gratification syndrome, I need this ship now and you're teasing me, mocking me, playing with my emotions. The weekend is about to hit; it's been a long busy week for me and I'd love nothing more than to take this ship out to battle. I have paypal ready to release funds (not too much though eh so keep the price reasonable). Only you can cure this suffering, so with all sincerity, love and the devotion only a true fan can muster up the courage to say, could you please get your &*^%ing &rse into gear and release the ^%$&ing ship already!!!! I told you, it was not my fault, it was the rng! I am hating ranked battles at the moment. I trying to work my way up to rank 24 but I seem to be stuck on rank 10. The closest I can get is rank 11, then back to rank 10 again...ffs. Getting really irritated now. Truthfully though I am really amazed how many players are not even using camo...the second I see a ship or two on my team without camo (especially a cruiser) I know it's a loss and it always is. You say potato, I say tomato.

I cannot even remember the last time I was teamkilled. Does this sort of thing not happen very rarely and even if not I bet most of the time it's by negligence or accident and not deliberately. Are we not over-reacting a little?

Wait a second, am I understanding this correctly? Players complain about the economy of cv's so WG increases the costs???? Was it not meant to go the other way round? What am I missing?

The stupidity of this is that if they are reporting people to get them chat bans in ranked, then what if that player ends up on their own team one day and they can't chat to him / her / it. Seems silly, lol. Besides all this, the report tool is a great way for players to let off steam. You get a sense of satisfaction known you've reduced someone's karma by even a single point, even though it ultimately doesn result in anything. 'I punish you in the name of karma' for killing me, here have this report you fiend'. Can you imagine if they added the category ' hacking' to the list. WG would have a major problem with everyone being reported as cheaters, lol.

Hi mate, never saw you there, sorry, I was panicking trying to get somewhere safe. Thats the third time this type of thing has happened on Trident that I've witnessed, ie. where players are killed from spawn, but a lot of the time the firing starts before most players even move for the first time. The two I referenced in my post and then me in my own lex. Although I lasted longer than the other two I still got spotted and killed so quickly. Very daft map for tier 8.

For the love of all that is good, could anyone here please tell me what chimp at Wargaming decided that trident was a good map for tier 8 in ranked battles? It's ultimate proof they act before they think and don't play their own game enough. You spawn, get shot at within seconds. We lost a ship within the first minute. He had simply started to turn and blew up due to some lucky rng, instantly placing the advantage in favour of the enemy team. In another game our cv was blown up doing the exact same thing, spawned, started to turn and blew up. This was a completely stupid move on the part of WG. For randoms I could forgive this mindlessness, but for a ranked battle it becomes even more important to balance teams and choose the right bloody maps / tiers.

Rofl Bushwacker, then that's not saying much about the requirements for an expert. We're all experts in many things, some of them not so good in the grand scheme of things.

What qualifies a person as an expert? I need to see what the general criteria are or whether they're more self-appointed credentials. I'm not kidding here, dead serious.

HE spam is the only thing keeping BB players from ruining the game completely, every numbskull is playing a BB in ranked battles and elsewhere. Stop complaining and learn to play, the game wasn't made just to suit players who like BB'S predominantly. Cruisers have very little chance of survival, DD's are spotted by Radar. BB's are the safe game every cowardly fool is opting in for.

Radar has changed things a lot for DD players. No longer is it safe to simply enter cap unless you know the enemy has gone th other way. I use my Chapayev all the time and in most games go for the early spot of enemy dd's entering cap. Very successful method of gaining an early advantage. Also, the usual cry for spotting comes from one-track minded BB players who want to sit back while cruisers and DD's do all the spotting, with the BB's players complaining when they don't. Once again, it's the issue with many mindless BB players who in themselves are cowardly braindead bobs. Early bravery often results in an early death for DD players so many have adopted a more safe playstyle in that they try to play a smarter game rather than play privvy to the childish and cowardly needs of many BB players. A bit harsh from me? No, not really. BB's are currently ruining the game. had to laugh yesterday because I entered a game where, very unusually, both teams had 4 DD's each, one cruiser and 2 BB's. The one BB player complained that there were way too many DD's. How ironic is that and how pathetic.
