Do not believe everything WG writes Of course, I would suggest that you play a few games to get a hang of how things work before attempting the premium ship in randoms. Destroyers are a demanding class especially at higher tiers. I would say that the friendliest ships are the cruisers and you will not make a mistake if you start with the US line

I am sure that they will adding a lot of new effects, but I do not think that they will come anytime soon since I would guess that the priority will be on bug fixing, balancing and new ships

My point was, as I stated, to avoid words such as "idiots...idiots everywhere" in the threads names. I see that you changed it, so at least its a positive step. You are also missing the point of testing. The role of beta testers is not primarily to have "great fun" but to test, test, test... You get disconnected? Do not rage, report the problem and try again You get teamkilled? Do not rage, exit the battle and try with another ship ... No matter what, these things do not happen every single game so nothing prevents you to test anything you like. I hope you get the point now.

You can always lock guns with ctrl+x and unlock with x so you do not need to keep the rmb pressed all the time. -
That sounds strange, never had these problems (excluding of course server restart). Maybe you should check firewall / ports settings

It is definitely for gameplay reasons as otherwise engagement would be few and far apart. Roughly, it would take you half an hour to travel 30km at 33 knots and that would result in a very boring gameplay. Taking into account that the focus of the game is on firing at relatively long distances, that was the only compromise possible I guess to speed up the game -

Access wise, taking into account that this is a F2P type of game, formally speaking it is not worth it as it will be available to all for free SOONTM However if you do not want to wait for a more polished version and are ready to have some fun while testing a very promising game, it is imho worth a few euros. Please understand that this is rather a testing privilege than a playing privilege, so expect occasional frustrations as well. Hence sometimes it can be tough, but with you playing and hopefully providing feedback, it will help make the game better. Ship wise, I would suggest for you to go with the Yubari as cruisers are the "friendliest" class for new players. You should however wait until you reach "naturally" the 4th tier before playing it. With premium you get in the package, it will be rather quick -

Go to your profile at upper right corner, choose My Settings, click on forums tab (right of settings tab which opens by default). There you have number of posts and number of topics per page to choose from the drop down menu. Then click save changes and voila!

You mean some small minority of bad seeds within the community who are and will always try to abuse the game no matter what? You and people like you do not need such pointless attempts to justify your unsportsmanlike behavior (to use the WG term) trying to present it as "majority does it" as you will always be in the minority compared to people who are playing fair and for fun. Please understand, I am not angry at anyone of you using and abusing such mods, I just feel the pity for the sad state of mind you live in, which most often goes beyond the virtual world.

First of all, let me point out that I do not support the mod in question as it negatively affects the game balance. That being said, I have to agree with anr96 that this is being blown completely out of proportion judging by the number of rather hysterical posts. Only in 3 threads in general discussion there are over 600 posts about the mods... I wish testers would be as active in reporting bugs, gameplay improvement suggestions, classes feedback... which would actually help the game get better (instead of repeated ranting and whining). To be fair, I checked also the NA forums, and there is no such hysteria (and yes, they are aware of this mod existence). It is sad to see that WoT EU server/forum mentality is getting stronger in this game as well. To joke a bit, I wish WG would give a higher priority in accepting non-WoT players to beta.

As Kpt Strzyga says, stats should be of no concern at this stage. When thinking about the most important stat, taking into account the game mechanics, I believe the win rate as the main stat. I find kdr as rather useless and I have noticed a number of players with quite high kdr and WRs of below 48%. Taking into account that rather few games end in destruction of enemy team (unlike WoT for example), focus on kdr just promotes passive play / camping. To a lesser extent this is also true of average damage stat. Consequently I would hope that WG removes kdr from the main stats bar in the player profile as it is on one side rather easy to pad with being passive / hiding behind teammates, and on the other side it gives impression that in this game it is important to survive (which imho is not taking again into account that most games end in cap / points win or draw). -
Another invisible iceberg at Islands of ice. Got fully stuck (and sunk of course).

Here is my screenshot of shells hitting the invisible wall (well about 1 sec later ). It is located where you see the puffs of smoke so well clear of the island on the left

There seems to be an invisible island approx. at A4 on Islands of Ice. A few days ago I got a proximity alert and got stuck in high sea there. I got sunk before I could make a screenshot. Unfortunately training battles do not work so I could not replicate.

Hahaha you obviously did not participate in WoT CBT If you find WoWs at this stage horrible, I cannot even imagine what you would call WoT in CBT

OP I have the same experience. Already had 3 games with 2 turrets blown up, and many more with one. NO seem quite weak there
