    Ship modification upgrades

Yeah some descriptions are rather vague. I am baffled by the upgrade for high tiers which is called Target acquisition system mod. 1: +20% maximum acquisition range What does it actually do?

    Reporting players

Indeed, spot on mtm78. Community will be what we all make it. I definitely see an improvement recently despite the occasional troll here and there. No matter win or loss, the best games I had so far was when people were nice and communicating/coordinating. Just an example of a great game today with nice chat and coordinating teams on both sides:

    Victory, defeat or draw?

While the practice of stalling is rather pointless in beta, it is a valid tactic once the game is released. As the draw is basically counted as a loss (for both teams) it is a way to force a loss to the enemy. Personally I prefer a more aggressive playstyle, and bottom line I want to have fun when I play. Since it is much more fun going down in the blaze of glory shooting all I can until the last drop of HP, I am not and I will not (regardless of the game stage) go for a draw. I will probably be in the minority, since once the game is released, I suspect that a number of players will use that tactic to statpad the kill/death ratio as it is much easier in WoWs to stay alive by playing passively than actually sinking enemy ships. I do hope that WG will remove the KDR from the main stats bar as it will at least promote a bit more aggressive play. Already we can see a number of players whose goal seems to be just to survive.

    Carriers ...

I would say that it is even insulting to compare CV with arty in WoT Skill needed to be good in CV is light years ahead from arty. Not even to speak of mechanics Lets be honest, BBs and CAs are in fact the clickers

    Carriers ...

I am not a fan of RTS either, but I had a chance to watch some damn good CV gameplay on Twitch. Taking into account the number of things a CV player has to do, manage, observe, adjust... in order to be very successful, I would not call it slow. TBH from what I have seen, compared to other classes, CV is the class with the biggest "carry potential" in skilled hands (and quite terrible in bad hands)
  7. It would definitely be a terrible idea if they "force" players in common clans for WoT & WoWs. As it was already discussed elsewhere, an active clan in WoT may or may not be sufficiently active in WoWs (to the liking of a particular player). Not to mention players which may want to be part of a clan in one game and not both. I think that the best solution would be to have completely independent clans between the games, and that the recruiting in WoWs is done from scratch. Technically speaking it is rather just a matter of a field in the profiles database and will not in any way affect the unified account approach.

    Too many cowards

I think you misunderstood a lot of comments in this thread. Maybe I do not play BBs heavily, but I am also a BB player The comments you see here are exactly related to game mechanics comprehension. Regardless of maximum range, BBs are better suited for closer encounters taking into account large HP pool, tons of secondary guns, healing ability... The point of long range guns on BBs is to allow them to "soften up" the targets while closing in and hopefully quickly rip them apart at mid/close range

    Too many cowards

As I see that you are at 78 games, and already have a "definitive" opinion, I can only say that you did not try enough before slipping to the "camper" mentality. Do not get me wrong, I have no intention to overly criticize here, I would just like to see more people joining board in trying to build a team-oriented gameplay. Winning or loosing, dying or surviving (when cooperating with teammates), is much less important since cooperating greatly increases the fun and enjoyment of this game. Staying in the back and focusing only on long-range clicking is a recipe for getting bored and missing out on important aspects of the game.

draw rate much higher than in wot?

I am at 6% in 800+ games and I do not have a big issue with that figure. Agree with Shep, adding extra 5 mins would not be a good thing, as it would make the time to unlock the ship again too long imho - and of course "campers gonna camp no matter the time limit" . Rather, I would like to see some mechanics to promote more aggressive play such as: - Bigger xp&credits reward for winning the game (or much less for loosing) - Additional xp/credits for capping or fighting near caps (e.g. within a certain radius)

    team killer sanctions

It should remain like that otherwise we would have unnecessary rage and trolls which would exploit it just to piss-off people. Current mechanic of messing up navigation is quite enough.

So you will wait in the back of the map until DDs and CAs provide you cover which you actually do not need that much staying behind (and teammates are unlikely to provide you any seeing you camp)? I hope you see the issue with logic I ran a little experiment yesterday with a Nagato. I tried to communicate with DDs and CAs such as: "going for b minekaze pls smoke" "going 9 line pensacola pls support" In 6 out of 7 times I got the requested support. Unlike faster paced games like WoT, here you have more than enough time and opportunity to use the chat. Of course, ask for support in advance and do not wait to get into trouble first (or be quiet the whole match and start whining about lack of support after you have been sunk)

There is a major change of armor and shells mechanics incoming in the new patch

    Aiming MOD Exposed!

+1 Shepbur It is difficult to understand why people need to just repeat and repeat over again the same things / opinions which were already expressed in the first few pages of this topic more than enough times. It is good to see that WG devs are taking into account the community feedback, and now lets see if the community here will take into account the devs feedback and scale down this rather boring and repetitive whine.

Most favored / Least liked maps

Well I did not expect so little love for Islands of Ice. It is indeed bugged as hell, but the layout (speaking of domination mode) to my opinion gives quite a bit of opportunities for every class. Maybe it will be more popular in CW or similar competitive mode.

I used to have the same approach, but now I am switching to more aggressive gameplay. As CAs can rather reliably hit me at 10-13km in any case (if they are half decent), I now tend to charge them frontally (presenting a smaller target), eating away their HP with 2x2 frontal guns (playing Nagato now). At around 6km, turning sharp to bring reloaded 2x2 aft guns in play and maximize dmg output with 4x2 127mm and 18 140mm secondary guns (well 2x2 and 9 guns per side to be more precise). Its much more fun than to trade shots at mid / long distance and very nice to watch secondaries in action . With such approach seldom do I have less than 20k damage with secondaries, and a few times I had 50+k. Of course, the survival rate suffers if not supported by teammates, but I prefer going in the "blaze of glory" than spending 15-20mins doing more or less nothing in the back and just praying to RNG gods.

    The coolest, awesome, things

My personal favorites (not gameplay related): 1. Soundtrack 2. Moving clouds 3. How ships move through water (foaming and little trail behind stern) 4. Burning ships 5. Shell flight
  23. It would be also great to see AI bots spamming chat with gameplay tips.

    Too many cowards

Playing aggressively and yoloing at a bunch of cruisers are different things. I would suggest you play BBs a bit more and try various tactics before you start having such definitive opinions (based on whopping 16 games in battleships). I just finished a game in Nagato. 42k dmg with secondary batteries at A cap (Islands of Ice) battling 2 BBs, 2 DDs and a CA (with support of teammates of course).

    Too many cowards

I am amazed to see all these comments trying to explain (and hence support) the passive play which seems to becoming the norm for BB class lately. BBs feel no support? Then why do we see so often cruisers and destroyers on the front lines and battleships cruising around way in the back. Is it because they have the biggest HP pool compared to other classes? Is it because they have by far the most powerful guns? Is it because they have quite deadly secondary armament for close combat? Is it because they are the only class to have the ability to heal massive amounts of HP? Speaking of support, most BB players are never asking for it - or at least typing in the chat where they want to go in order to get some. More than enough times did I go to support them with my cruiser only to see them run away at first sight of 1 or 2 enemy ships. In my experience so far, most games which end up in defeat or draw are due to BBs not even trying to do their job. Many of them only seem to care about surviving and hoping that RNG will grant them a lucky roll.
