In this game, it is not all about damage dealt. Unlike WoT, WoWs is much less dependent on damage dealt, as battles are very rarely won by killing all enemies. While BBs are expected to deal most damage of all classes to soften up the enemy, cruisers for example are much better for fulfilling objectives (and other roles).

I agree, it is quite simple for WG to add an additional warning/notification so I hope it will be implemented quickly. Until then, when you feel you did something stupid do not feel too bad and just remember that there are other people who did the same if not worse Luckily we are still in CBT so it does not really matter.

Hahaha, that is not too bad mtm78, it happened to me more than once . Also I managed to demount modules for gold as well I guess I tend too much to click before reading or paying attention...

Yes, all progress will be wiped, however your spent tokens and premium time you bought will be compensated (i.e. returned and available again in OBT). Furthermore it is possible that beta testers will receive some small reward (a premium ship or something).

Good strategy, but there is unlimited ammo in WoWs

PATO tried a similar thing by spamming landings in WoT. We all saw how that went In WoWs, a large influx of new players could cause some server load issues, but I would not mind having more xp pinatas when the game launches

Will WG give the guys that got invite to CB and have more then 1000 game played will get a ship when we go into OB
daki replied to Darthtanking's topic in General Discussion
@OP As no promises were made when we joined beta (with the exception of account wipe), one should not build up big expectations. Even if no reward is given, I am happy since: - So far I had a lot of fun playing and testing the game - Experience gained will allow for some nasty sealclubbing at OBT launch (especially in low tiers) - Providing some feedback to support makes me feel that I am contributing in making the game a little better for the entire future playerbase. Nevertheless, I doubt that there will be no rewards whatsoever. Maybe not a ship, but some free xp, gold, a few premium days... is quite likely. For example, if I had to choose between a premium ship and free xp, I would choose free xp Edit: I really do not understand why OP is being negrepped. He is not being rude, aggressive or ignorant, but just expresses his opinion & expectations. +1 from me to compensate -
Cleveland: 33.315 avg dmg, 32% accuracy Pensacola: 37.560 avg dmg, 32% accuracy But in Cleveland I have a much better WR (54% vs. 47%) - I did play much more games in Cleveland though so I would assume that the WR difference would not be that high in the end. What I noticed (maybe subjective), is more one-salvoed enemies by Pensacola than by Cleveland. Some of the shell groupings were just - beautiful

Shallow waters will be a nice addition gameplay-wise and will at last add something to the DD class. It would be nice to have much bigger shallow areas to add on DD usefulness and some flanking opportunity. For example to have also on some of the maps a chain of bigger islands on say 9-10 line, and shallow waters covering 10, 9 and parts of 8 line. It would force a bit BBs for closer combat, adding to action and speed of the game.

It is, I typed wrong

I would not be surprised if it is launched around 8-9 May

As mtm78 suggested, it would be great to be able to inspect the armor, including the type of construction steel being intoduced with the incoming 0.3.1 patch

Hehehe, now I understand you! You managed somehow to equate my statement "3. Ship stats on paper do not mean that much" with "facts are irrelevant." That is some major error in deduction for someone cherishing facts so much (i.e. what is written in this case), completely unsubstantiated by what I said. Another small piece of advice, understanding what others are writing is an important skill if you want to have sensible discussions. Sorry for off-topic

Shepbur has a nice thread about bugs: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/12148-known-bugs-issues/

1. It is shown with premium boost 2. That is a rather difficult and subjective question and it depends on what you consider as the ultimate goal. If it is winning, then it is difficult to set clear boundaries. An example: Your team does the popular lemming train tactic, you join the wagon, do a lot of dmg, kills... hence getting a lot of xp, but in the end your team looses the game as the other flank was undefended. Alternatively, you protect the flank, get swarmed and outgunned by the enemy, but you delay them long enough to allow your team to win. You get much less xp than in the first case, but secure a win for you and your team.

Hahaha, feel free to mock me, but beware, what goes around comes around . You obviously missed the point of my comment about the stats, which was (to clarify for you): "Do not judge the book by its covers" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don%27t_judge_a_book_by_its_cover in case you are unaware of the meaning of that saying). In other words, per-judging a ship based on some stats without playing it (and we have seen a lot of that on these forums), tends to create a wrong and biased opinion. I did watch your "review", and a good effort it was especially in the first half. However, the second part (actual gameplay) rather proves all my points (so thank you for that ), the main ones being: 1. It requires a specific type of play for this ship to be "working as intended" - which you did not show 2. It is a poor choice for players with only T5 of lower BB experience / skipping tiers - you have only 3 battles in Kongo, 4 in Myogi and 5 in Kawatchi, and that lack of experience more than clearly shows A small piece of advice: If you want people to take your opinions and reviews more seriously in the future, you also have to put in the necessary effort in gaining the experience in the particular class of ships. Looking forward to checking more of your reviews and opinions in the future, which will be of much better quality if you take the above advice

I am not really sure what you are referring to. Maybe the rubberbanding? If so that is a known "issue" Basically there is sometimes de-synchronization between position on server and the one displayed, so you see little "jumping" of targets when correction is done. Otherwise, it can be issue of lag spikes. I also run on average 40-60ms ping, however from time to time there are short lag spikes which create the effect of "jumpiness" Edit: And there are no solutions for that.

Just to add that I noticed an invisible island on North map at F2. No collision warning signal, the ship just stops dead. As you can see I am sufficiently away from the island and still get stuck It happened to me several times at the same location both before and after various micropatches.
-
As said many times, this is not a ship for everyone and especially not for people without enough experience. 1. It is a "peculiar" ship characteristics-wise so it requires a specific play 2. It enters into even T9 battles so it is a poor choice for people who have most experience in T5 or below ships 3. Ship stats on paper do not mean that much As a sizable number of people enjoy this ship and perform well, there are no big issues with the ship overall, so please be careful before bashing the ship itself. Is it fantastic or OP? No Is it bad or UP? Definitely no All in all I find it a quite decent and balanced ship and better than any other premium I have tried (Albany, Aurora, Sims, Gremyashchy, Yubary).
-
Being the only RN ship available, I am sure that it will be immediately available at OBT launch. Good marketing and to cater to the audiences. The same for at least 1 German ship if not more (e.g. BB branch) I expect almost all the existing premiums (and then some) to be available at OBT since from the economy perspective WG needs "sinkholes" for a large amount of doubloons already paid (and to be returned) and the ones that will be purchased.

I personally found Warspite very effective against Fusos. It was even the first ship I sunk after getting this little beast. An example is attached. While I did not sink a Fuso in that game (managed to sink a Nagato and Pepsicola instead), I ripped quite well the 2 Fusos and 2 Nagatos who were desperately trying to make a trophy out of me
-
My experience is that Warspite has quite decent armor already and it will be even stronger after new patch. Attached is just and example from being focused mostly by a Cleveland and Fuso. Receiving more than 100 hits, that is good in my book

Same thought here.

why destroyers have to reload torpedos at the beginning ?
daki replied to ariyaner's topic in General Discussion
Good point OVanBruce, I can only imagine how much TK-ing we would see now , not even to mention at launch While I have not played them yet, top tier DDs (T9 & T10) seem to have overly long torpedo reload time. Anything above 2 mins seems too much. With the inherent weaknesses of the class (low hitrate of torpedoes, low HP...), there should be a possible maximum of at least 5 torpedo runs in the first half of the game (10mins). Especially with the incoming patch giving "heal" ability to CAs. There will be a significantly higher HP pool available in top tier games, and more cruiser survivability means shorter destroyer life with less impact on the game.
