Iv spent the last 3 days playing nothing but the Missouri just to get the 500k in a single battle tasks for the convoy missions done, (fastest way to get through the missions can be done in 3 battles minimum) and I can tell you while iv managed to maintain a decent W/R iv seen some truly bad teams at tiers 8-10 and its staggering how badly some people play at these tiers, yesterday alone I had 3 games where we had no cap points in domination and we lost 9-12 ships for only 1-3 enemy ships sunk. All you can do is play to best of your ability and hope that players on your team can hold there own for longer than 2min at a time. -

And that was the whole point of getting the ship in the 1st place. and after the games iv played to get through the convoy mission iv found you still need to play well to be hitting 500k consistently. -
Ill just repost this here seeing as Thinderchief is still determined to derail that other thread. Funny how the Bow armor nerf didn't go ahead because of community feedback and because it made BBs to easy to kill from the front but a skill that basically single handedly kills stealth and ambush gameplay is totally fine to go ahead.

Well I just got the Tirpitz camo unlocked, taken me 3 days and that's me doing 3 missions a day doing only the 500k in a single battle with the Missouri, I now have till the end of the event go back and mop up the remaining 20 something tasks I have left to do its been far easier than I expected. -

Funny how they say they intend to make changes to RPF after this 2nd test which means they will do the bare minimum to change it just so they can say look we did something.

When I saw the mission's I thought the most annoying part was going to be having to play a CV I only have the 2 tier 4s as im not experienced enough or confident enough to move up the tiers but I gave it a shot and after a few hours I had it done. The Cruiser part had that done in 1 battle after reaching it. And now this destroyer part so far I have played 21 battles in DDs from tier 6-10 and the closest iv come is 14k flooding damage, its getting beyond a joke how difficult this is proving to be and yes I am staggering my torps but its not working for me for one reason or another I cant get the damage and just to top it off you need 2 kills as well so knowing my luck I will get that 1 game where I get the damage but not the kills. And just to prove a point in 22 games (that 1 cruiser game Inc) iv done 1.5 million damage and 28 ships sunk all from playing nothing but destroyer's all day and I still cant even get 20k flooding damage out of it. -
So its clear RPF was designed to be a counter to the Current "Concealment Expert" meta (which lets be fair is 1 of the main ways Cruisers and DD's survive the current BB heavy environment), but in spectacular fashion the counter has proven to be far to strong, the biggest user's for CE are ofc Cruisers and DDs so while CE hides them from BBs, RPF cancels out CE against each other and render's CE pointless when facing each other. As Flamu put it in his Video "The only way to counter a RPF DD is to be a RPF DD" and that is bad for game balance Another fine example of the counter being too effective, RPF needs a downside be it range or accuracy or a way to be semi countered it self or better yet REMOVING from the game before its even added. "extra add on note" When this leaked a lot of people become concerned it would be Battleship players who would pick this skill and if the player was aware enough become very hard to torpedo, but now we have had the PTS my biggest concern is not BBabies taking this skill its Cruisers and Destroyers I suspect this is what WG want no more sitting unspotted dropping torps at unsuspecting targets now the most effective hunters of Destroyers counter each other.

I completed all but 2 missions with in 2 weeks and had the final 2 done a week, week and half later so before the end of November.

These ships are only truly OP if you play them right ...I still see far too many players that have these ships that cant.

I currently only have the Budyonny in port but if you check you find the Type 12 Camo that comes with the reward ships is the 1000 Doubloons permanent Premium camo, its a variation of the 2017 new year camo we have been getting as rewards, hope that helps. -

On the 9th the Final task of mission 3 will unlock Play 1 battle then you need to get the 3 pins needed to unlock the final for mission 4 which gives the Graff Spee so you can get the ship on the 9th. Put it even simpler the 9th is the last time gated mission in the series. -

After reading the many pages about RPF all I'm seeing is if they go ahead and release this Skill revamp as it is (or with some minor tweaks) it will be only a matter of months before they have to change it again because they wont be happy with how the Meta settles after this change. DD play dead, CV play dead, Cruisers still getting hard countered by BBs and under used even more and BB numbers through the roof more so than they are now. -

Well after looking at the requirements for the Convoy mission on the NA website (assuming they remain the same), I did a bit of thinking and guess work to try and work out how quickly you could potentially get to the final of stage 8 which lets be fair is the real goal the Tirpitz Camo. Ok first off this is assuming you run Premium and signal flag's for extra credits and XP and you get the Graff Spee on the 9th of January and you do only the 3 and 2 pin tasks needed to get the full 6 pins as fast as possible (so this assumes a lot but most players that will be able to do this will have anyway) Rough guess at a minimum I can see all 8 stages being done in 34 battles (give or take either way), and a Maximum 71 battles (again give or take either way). Given you have from the 9th to the 18th (event ends 19th) giving you a full 10 days **though this of course depends on how quickly you can get the final 3 pins to unlock the Graff Spee** so you technically have 9-10 days for the convoy missions which even if you do 2 missions a day will only take 4 days to complete at 18 games a day (give or take) leaving plenty of time to go back and do the other tasks for the rewards. Feel free to nit pick, I just thought it worth pointing out that while it may look like a lot 9 Missions 49 tasks given that most are purely aiming at getting the Free 3k Doubloons Tirpitz Camo its not as bad or hard as it seems provided you can invest the time. -

This is eaxactly the point i was making in my post on the last page, RPF becomes stronger and stronger the longer a battle goes on and the smaller the enemy team gets. -

I look at RPF and see the death of DD play in Ranked, Team and future Clan battles. It will basically become mandatory to run as the small team format gives DD's so much room to work with in both team support, scout and Ninja cap roles that a skill that undermines and counters this is simply death to skilled competitive play. -
I'm currently neutral on the new skill system. How ever RPF is beyond stupid how they can think this is good for the game is beyond me it hurts DD play no end even stealthy cruisers suffer for this, Ranked battle Team battle and future clans stuff will all suffer because of this 1 skill and it will no doubt become mandatory to run it if you want to be competitive and while this skill comes across as a "Crutch" skill for lesser skilled players its the better more skilled experienced players using this that will benefit even more.

Have you guys and Girls not learned anything from the past if it goes onto the Public test there is a 0.001% they will change it before release, bottom line once it goes PT that's it our feedback EU/NA/SEA means nothing to them you can test them all you want post feedback all you want they don't care and wont change anything. They will release it and then see if it breaks balance or steers the game in a bad direction. Quite how they don't foresee a skill that undermines stealth and ambush gameplay which lets be far more than a few ships rely on to be truly effective as game breaking is beyond my comprehension as if we need BB meta to be any more potent lets give them a skill that shows a DD is closing to line up a torp attack or unspotted cruiser is behind that island waiting. All this skill will do is further remove the needed skill (As in personal skill) of map and situation awareness..... that is bad for the game end of. -
From my understanding the Campaign is time gated only so if you get the 3 pins needed before the date when the final task unlocks you have to wait but there is nothing stopping people from doing them after the date has passed they will simply be playing catch up as long as they get all stages done and play a single battle before the final date they can still earn the Graff Spee.

"Tin Can" opening 17 containers sounds like a lot but given the time this event is running for and if you get your 3 daily containers you can get 81 in total before the event ends and you only need to open 17. I managed to get "To The Bottom" in a PvP game in the Aptly named Kamikaze DD the game was clearly lost I was 1 of 3 ships left vs 4 not enough battle time to recover points and sink enemy ships for the win so I made a beeline to the enemy CV under fire from 2 of the remaining enemy BBs getting to 3km of the enemy CV with a BB just as close to me loosed all my torps scored 4 hits we lost the battle but I got the victory I needed.

https://worldofwarships.com/en/news/common/bobbarkersfaveship/ I mean just look at what you need to do for those convoy missions and NA is complaining 9 days wont be enough time - REALLY- .... you can get most of those done in like 4 average - good games each easy and the combined rewards for them is just further insulting to us EU players we really have been shafted. But its ok because we can still pay to get those Premium camo and we can still spend our own earned credits to buy those ships and its not like we need extra credits, consumbles or signal flags anyway its ok WGEU you made the right choice for us players we don't know what we want/need anyway.
