    Update 0.10.9 - Halloween

They aren't. Those are DDs with a combination Speed Boost/Invulnerability (the Invulnerability doesn't quite work for everything the ability says it does, Wave and Mortars still [edited]you up, and it take a good few seconds to dive) "Dive" consumable. The "diving" is a purely visual thing. And doesn't really work, anyway. The low detection on the Fangblade is a seperate consumable and also its heal.

Update 0.10.7: Submarines in Ranked Battles

Subs still bad. Gonna be released anyway. Don't work, spotting them was better before the rework, the hilarious maneuverability of the homing torps is way too much, the whole "remove ping with Damage Control" doesn't make sense AND makes Carriers a lot less vulnerable to them... it's just not fun to play them or to play against them. But, as the carriers have proven, time and again, fun to play/play against is not a criteria important to the "does it work" equation in the almighty secret spreadsheet. Yet another fail, Wargambling, yet another fail. Can you please just put them game into the hands of someone capable who understands and plays the game AND knows what they are doing? Your cavalcade of 5000 beheaded chicken running over keyboards isn't cutting it.

    PT 0.9.4 - Submarines

Just taking that bit because I think that subs will actually take over 1 & 8. Making 5, 6 & 7 a lot easier because you can limit your own exposure and are more flexible in where to go when and by what route to accomplish your now reduced task load. You will also be a deterrent to enemy subs so you can zone them away from friendly ships. Unrelated to your post, as for the spotting, I think subs should only share their spotting with the team while they are surfaced/can be Radio Located, seeing as they would need to actually use their radio to confer the spotted targets to others. Submerged subs can still spot for themselves, but no longer for others. Might be best to still let them have the info the rest of the team is having while submerged, though.

    PT 0.9.4 - Submarines

Okay, thoughts on the subs as is: 1: This will quite fundamentally change the meta of the game. Wether for better or worse, time will tell. 2: Probably should have a 2 sub per team limit. 3: DDs are very much necessary to defend their team from subs, but should be freed up from capping/spotting by their own subs. 4: Point 3 means that CLs form the secondary line of defense and also first line of defense by offense, knocking out DDs. Which in turn makes them Priority Targets for CA/BBs. 5: Torp Ranges, Cachalots 10.5km range feels a bit too high. At the moment my gut feeling (not much of a scientific method, I know) would like to pin the max range for SS Torps at about 8km. 6: CVs can't do anything to a sub. Not even spot it. (Subs can simply dive before the planes ever are on top of them.) I am okay with that. 7: If your last ship alive is a sub, but you have a lead in points/capped zones, the sub is likely to win. Reverse the situation on points/caps, sub has to basically kill the entire enemy team. Hard to do when everybody always knows that they are spotted. Not necessarily a bad thing. 8: Submerged spotting should probably not be a thing. As in, if a sub wants their team to see whatever they see, they have to be surfaced. 9: Deck guns not being a thing is alright with me. 10: All in all, the bots and the massive overpopulation of subs on the PT at the moment means that the tests are rather skewed and people play differently from "normally". Getting a good read from it is difficult and mostly extrapolation for the moment.
  5. As an answer to the PSA update: No. As long as you plan to give out ANY sort of gameplay changing element, this is a hard No from me. Even if it is only a .1% HP increase, it is a bad idea. I understand you think the idea has merit, but I will tell you, straight up, no lies, you implement NTC with ANY sort of buffs, and I will leave. I will uninstall the game and not come back. But, I want to give you a different idea to incentivise people to play lower tiers some more. Add a simple total XP earned bar to any ship. With inclements for (not final numbers, just a ballpark) 500k, 1500k and 5000k. With the first milestone, unlock a special camo, which should simply give the normal Type 5 camo bonuses (Detectability and Dispersion) and maybe a 10% (or so) Free XP increase. Now, if the player is in posession for a permanent camo for the ship, the Economic Boni from it are applied to the Grind Camo, and vice versa. Of course, in case of multiple permanent camos, the bonus from the permanent camo is only added to the Grind camo once, not for each permanent camo you posess. 2nd tier gets a bit more of an Eco boost and looks spiffier, maybe with a bit shinier color/highlights. 3rd tier, make it golden or something like that, with a bit more Eco bonus. This gives people an incentive to play the ships they enjoy, doesn't force them to give up their hardearned ships, does not provide any gameplay bonuses and thus not split your community. And you can add these skins gradually, a line at a time. It's no impact to the games balance, it doesn't stop players enjoying their higher tier ships, nobody needs to regrind... and it is completely, utterly optional. No bonus other than looks and bragging rights. And NO impact of any nature to competitive or any other game mode.
  6. Dear Wargaming: Do Not Do This. Naval Training Center is going to be such a bad idea and will kill your game. It will broaden the gap between new players and longtime players so far that nobody will want to play anymore. And why would anyone want to play at all, since you will just get twatted by some guy with the same ship as yours, just way better with no downsides to his upgrades. I mean this, if you do this stupid, boneheaded move, I will quit the game then and there. I will not come back. The Consumables change is a welcome one. That one reduces the gap in a natural, easy way. The NTC on the other hand will simply kill your game. If you bring it, people will leave. If you try and implement it in the way that upgraded ships only see other upgraded ships, a)why bother with the system in the first place and b)your playerbase is not large enough and this will split it really badly. I'll say it again, do not do this. Bloody hell, I am posting on your forums, something I don't do normally because I just can not be arsed. This is important, this can and will kill the game and I do not want to see it happen. Stop it. Now. Before you sink more time and money into something that your player base DOES NOT WANT.

Where are the Christmas convoy missions?

Congratulations Wargaming EU. You just turned me from paying customer to F2P. Because if you think you can just fornicate me like this, you can pick up the tab for it.
