Can't research Sampson with 1,061 Eire XP?
typhaon replied to Killua_HxH's topic in Newcomers' Section
Pay attention to the skill tree. Afaik the path to the Sampson leads over the Chester. New ships can only be researched with ship bound XP of the previous ship or with free XP. -
WK.?

Just to make things clear: You can only convert ship bound XP of elite ships or premium ships to free XP by paying gold.

A fire only destroys about 18% HP if it burns for the full duration. Now let's say you set a mid tier cruiser on fire with about 30k HP total, your fire will do about 5.5k damage total... that's not so much after all, especially considering, that fires are often put out and need a good hit on special areas to be set. But the decision is not so much about whether AP or HE is better in general. If you face the broadside of an enemy at close quarter combat, there is nothing better than AP to put him down. If you face a manouverable opponent who knows how to angle, you won't get a blow with AP at all and HE is the way to go. Another important factor is, that you enemies will gain HE immunity after a time, especially BBs, that already used repair consumables and only show you the same parts.

Once you have the range upgrades (hull+range finder) you can take advantage of your superior range on that tier. Furthermore you have few guns, but the best caliber of that tier, so you can really throw a punch with good hits, especially against cruisers and BBs.

Why would anybody give something about the average XP... there is no way to connect the player skill and performance to the average XP. I think it's just for boasting, but apart from that, it's useless. Most people look for average damage instead, which is a better way to judge players.

So hast du zwei Möglichkeiten: 1.

Afaik there are basic maintenance costs that must be paid no matter how damaged your ship was.

Thank you for letting press accounts play on public servers and ruin it for 11 other players
typhaon replied to AlwaysBadLuckWithTeams's topic in General Discussion
The difference between a normal player and a press account player is, that the press will most likely write about the game and thus influence the public oppinion about the game... and a serious author would not uninstall the game just after one fail. And you really think WG would do themselves a favor for not letting the press test the full game out? Man, you really have no clue about marketing and PR. -

You have barely played this game, so how do you want to know if you have fun on mid tiers? Actually there are many players who consider the mid tiers to be the most enjoyable in this game.

Why the new ships dont come to the open game?
typhaon replied to yosilogen's topic in General Discussion
What makes you think, that they won't be released to the public in the future? -
A) and B): While I would appreciate some sort of costum modification of the squad setups, I think total freedom would ruin any national difference between carriers... it would all be just about the best plane stats. C): No, making effective use of ship AA is already quite difficult... especially regarding the lack of teamplay. It would be too easy to avoid serious threats like cruisers and get to the targets unharmed. D) and E): I think it's fine as it is mostly. Burning already prevents launching and landing squads and happens rather often when under enemy fire. Loosing planes that way would totally ruin the game for CVs if they are engaged or a DD has sneaked up. F) AP bombs are planned already and will be introduced in the future. G) It already happens often that you miss a small target competely. H) and I): AA already is dangerous at close range. But instead of forcing the CVs to a further away drop point I'd rather see the squad accuracy lowered the closer it gets to a target. So each CV captain would need to choose between a close drop or a better spread. J): Maybe you could make them approach and drop a little random (but not changing their overall spread). They even could introduce a new captain skill that makes them drop torps and bombs more simultaniously K): No, while I see you point from a realistic point of view, I think this would push the realism too far in this game, since everybody would demand the same for ship launched torps. And that would lead to hard times hitting an agile cruiser or DD with a torpedo. They would simply deflect them if they fail to evade.
-
That's the intention of WG... higher tiers are too expensive to run without farming gold on lower tiers.
-
Someone has tested the ships in comparison and they were mostly quite realistic. But they seriously downsized the distances and increased the speeds.
-
The single biggest problem with this game.
typhaon replied to CenturionPuch's topic in General Discussion
Most games have some sort of RNG, thats perfectly normal in video games... -
Well they used to be fast in reality as well. Especially many earlier CVs were based on cruisers which meant that they shared they speed and manouverability. Later carriers were especially designed to high speed because the ability to relocate quickly was essential to hide on the ocean. In reality later CVs often were even faster than DDs, especially when in rough weather.

-
Du kannst auch reloggen.
-
That's probably to make surviving worth something... without a wait time, you could jump into the game, rush towards your death trying to do as much damage as possible and just start the next round. By making your ship's life somewhat worthy, you might consider your action especially regarding suicide tactics.

Hast du ein Replay? Vermutung wäre Magazin-Explosion.
-
Well the dispersion stays the same, but since you fire further, your spread a max range is increased.

Anyone noticed a huge bug in shell distance around islands?
typhaon replied to simonmd's topic in General Discussion
Your guns try to aim at where you are pointing. So if the target spot moves behind an island, you target the island instead. The fact that you still shoot over the island may have something to do, that you guns need a short time to aim at the island and are still not low enough. -
Only planes that are shot down using an attack command (planes or focus fire for AA defense) are counted towards the medal.
