High End Pc genauso viel FPS wie Alter pc?
typhaon replied to SilencerDE's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Schaffe mit meinem AMX FX 6300 und einer GForce 750 Ti + 8 GB RAM auch um die 50-60 Frames bei max. Details. -
Why should they lessen the grind? You're at T7 already and it's only a few days since the game has started... This game offers nothing but grinding and it might take quite a time until they introduce the next tech tree... until then they need the players to have something to do, because if they've beat the game, they will turn to some other game... which means that they'll lose players. Not to mention that an annoying grind makes people spend more money to ease the pain.

Arkansas Beta and Gun Fire Control System Mod.2
typhaon replied to hardwarebeer's topic in Battleships
From my experience with the Kongo in the CBT the increased accuracy works quite well, but that's just my personal impression. -
Because they implemented some hulls, that cannot be put to a certain time... and if you make a historical reference in a game, there will be players that are complaining about it for not being historically correct (like: "look at the smoke stacks, that came much later" or "in that year the ship had to more 7.7mm AA guns"). With those generic names they can fit them for balancing purposes.
-
I'd take the second... a little bit faster steering won't save you against well placed torps, but fire is a big problem if you have used your repair, since you cannot launch or land any planes.
-
Well so you compare the worst non-premium ships against very good premium ships... where's the news there? Mutsuki is worse than it's predecessor and Furutaka is a pain in the a**... most ships around their tier are better... you could have matched the Furutaka against any other T5 ship and it would still be bad in comparison...
-
The lead indicators work well if the enemy ship doesn't chance course and speed... which will rarely happen against skilled players. If you have multiple launchers spread the torps out around the lead indicator... and try to get as close as possible without getting yourself killed.

And und nochwas: Zerstörer haben keine Zitadelle, daher dort immer HE nehmen.

You can see the gun dispersion of your main armament when holding the mouse over the gun on the right side of your harbor screen.

Well, as long as this game has nothing to offer than grinding new ships, it would be suicide to speed up the grind.

Submarines have no place in a game about naval surface battles... they would totally screw up balance and from a realistic point of view, they rarely took part in great naval battles.

Include arming distance for Torpedoes and Torpedo Bombers
typhaon replied to SeaMonsterUK's topic in General Discussion
Afaik the arming distance for TBs already was increased. -
The missions tab says, that each completed mission is replaced with a new one after 24 hrs... how comes that I have one mission countdown with almost 28hrs and another even saying 51hrs?
-
All ranges are scaled down... the game should be faster than real battles so they downsized the ranges and made everything move faster to give it a realistic feel. Of course guns had greater range, but it would not change much to the gameplay, because everybody would have more range... and the maps would have to be incredibly large...
-
There are basically two types of bans: chat bans for chat violations and game bans for all other violations and repeated chat violations. So a first time offender will most likely get a 24hrs chat ban... if he doesn't stop the penalty will be increased both in lenght and type. Only team damage is monitored and punished automatically, so no use in reporting teamkillers. As for everything else I found that a personal report to the support team works best (pay attention to a nice tone and provide the nessecary proofs (screenshots and replays). The support might point out to the report function, but they will still look into the case.

Zielen auf Schlachtschiff verbugged
typhaon replied to Pitbull0100's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen

Once the torps are dropped by planes, it's often too late to evade all of them. But then you have made the mistake already. You may not be able to avoid the torps, but you avoid the planes. Stick in groups, best with good AA cruiser (Yubari at low tiers!), turn aways from incoming torpedo bombers and concentrate your AA fire. You may be able to shoot down some planes and you force the planes to take a new angle of attack... giving your own CVs more time to intercept them for example.
-
Well their artillery is mediocre at best (at least for the USN). Their most dangerous weapons are torps so you should try to use them... which is much more difficult for the USN due to their lower range. Apart from that can harrass the enemy and set him on fire, but that won't do much good.
-
Well I never had that problem... if I chose random battles, it only puts me into pvp battles... never played a coop battle for a long time now. Maybe you should call the support.
-
Like it's been said: this game is as much WoT as apples are cherries. Don't even try to compare them, they just share the same publisher. And for the start you should take other classes. DDs are one of the more challenging classes in WoWS as they require good tactics and also a good portion of luck. For the start you should go with cruisers and battleships to get a hang of the controls and game basics. Then you can switch over to DDs.
-
First off, I think that your oppinions are highly influenced by the fact, that you are just inexperienced. With only 39 battles done and T3 being your highest tier, it's too early to judge. But I'll give my two cents: About battle length: This is a naval game... everything has been made faster already than in reality to speed up the gameplay. It's fine as it is... and don't underestimate the first minutes of a game... it may not be that interesting when going in a CV or BB, but it's definately a cruicial time for cruisers and DDs as it's all about getting to the right points in time for those classes. Fire doesn't do much damage... 0.3% of your total HP per sec.... so those 60 seconds burning only do 18% damage if it goes bad and you have no ways to shorten the time. And the best way to avoid fire is to avoid being hit... so either use your range and/or manouverability to avoid being shot. Well I can tell you, that AP is much better than HE if used right, but it's harder to use. If you get good hits with AP shells, you can litterally obliterate enemy ships. The only class I only shoot HE at is DDs, because they sport no armor and you would suffer from overpenetration. For all other enemies I prefer AP shells if I can penetrate them. That means generally AP as a BB vs. BBs, CL/CA and CVs, as a CL/CA it depends on wether I can penetrate the enemy armor. Just one great tip because I see that you're using the St. Louis: when facing a Tenryu or Kuma, switch to AP when they show their side at medium range. You can oneshot them sometimes by that with one good salvo. Just don't try AP on enemies with too much or too few armor or when they go straight towards you or from you away... if nessecary wait for them to turn and shot you their sides... But it's more tricky to do... so for the start HE will do, but try it eventually. Your oppinion of BBs just shows, that you have not reached higher tiers yet. Most BBs will outrange cruisers with ease later. That starts from T4 only though... and don't expect to outrange higher tiers. Don't know what's so crappy about domination... it's certainly more challenging and requires more teamwork, but you cannot blame WG for players not being able to fight as a team.
-
Or you play out your range advantage and stay with your team. A lonely ship is a dead ship, but a DD will have a hard time sneaking up into firing position in front of several enemies. And last but not least there are multiple ways to avoid torps: 1. Let someone scout the torps early... carrier planes, scout planes or another teammate in front of you will detect torps early. 2. Get the torpedo acquisition skil for your commander. 3. And last but not least: don't drive in a straight line at the same speed for a long time... it's the most successful way to die to not change course and speed... go zig zag, change your speed often and the enemy will have a hard time aiming at you with torps from a longer range.

Can somebody explain why US fighters shred japanese ones in a matter of seconds ?. (No Sarcasm).
typhaon replied to Outlawz0111's topic in General Discussion
Because they have the better fighters and their squads have one more plane. But don't be sad... shooting down planes doesn't give as much XP and credits as killing ships.
