  1. Yeah, pls remember, that we are in early open beta... Many control options where added rather late in WoT, so I guess they will implement new key options eventually in WoWS as well.

    Their accuracy is bad, but since they fire HE shells, one hit can seriously mess up a DD by destroying rudder or engine. But I wouldn't rely on it.

Well the basic system of a tech tree is, that you have to research all techs of a branch to come to later techs... and if you look closely at the arrows, you will see, that the way to the Kawachii leads over the second hull for the Tenryu. And 1600 XP for second hull and 2900 XP for the Kawachii are 4500 XP alltogether...

    AP shells not doing damage ~?

    It all depends on wether you can penetrate your target. With 152mm low velocity shells you cannot expect to do much though. But if you want to try, load AP shells when facing some lightly armored cruisers like the Tenryu or Kuma. Apart from those there are no enemies, that can be realiably penetrated with the St. Louis' guns. AP really shines on high caliber shells, where you can cause critical citadel hit and virtually oneshot enemies sometimes with ammo detonations.

    Dreh dich von ankommenden Torpedo-Staffeln weg. Das Problem bei BBs ist nicht der Wendekreis, sondern das träge Ruder. Klar kann ein geübter CV-Kommandant immer noch Treffer setzen, aber es wird wesentlich schwieriger, vor allem, da die Bomber ebenfalls recht träge zu steuern sind. Dazu auf jeden Fall Fokusfeuer... man schießt zwar vielleicht nur ein Flugzeug ab, aber jeder Torpedo weniger zählt. Und Last but no Least: verschwende deine Damage Control Party nicht mit Feuer. Ein einzelnes Feuer macht ganz langsam maximal 18% Schaden... den man auchnoch mit der Reparatur wieder beheben kann. Wassereinbruch macht deinem Kahn aber ruck zuck den Gar aus, wenn du ihn nicht stoppen kannst. Feuer bekämpfe ich im BB erst ab zwei Bränden.

    1. Im Launcher kannst du in der Mitte oben bei der Flagge die Sprache einstellen. Deutsch ist verfügbar. 2. Kapitäne und deren Fähigkeiten sind nicht an ein bestimmtes Tier gebunden, allerdings werden Kapitäne erst aber einer bestimmten Accountstufe freigeschaltet.

    Wyoming - Repair party won't engage

    If there is no light or medium damage that can be repaired with the repair party, it won't trigger as well. So most likely your lost health was lowered by heavy or even critical damage.

    Well how many T9 carriers are out there at the moment? Enough to find a suitable match for them in every battle. After 5 minutes of trying to match a ship, the MM ignores several rules and just starts a battle with a more random ship setup. That's the problem right now, that there are too few high tier players right now.

    BB captains too passive?

    No they aren't the tanks, even though they can take quite a beating. Their advantage over the other classes is the range of their guns... and if they don't use that advantage, they are quickly torn apart from cruisers and destroyers. A destroyer can kill an unsuspecting BB within seconds... so you do good to not go near small groups of islands in a BB.

    You only have 3 charges for your repair party (4 with the level 3 skill). When you used them all, you cannot repair anymore. Otherwise well played BBs could be quite OP.

    Well that's not the case with AA. AA is rather abstract in WoWS... it just matches up the DPS of AA guns against the HP of the plane squads. But afaik the effect works against all enemy planes in range at once... so if there are multiple squads in range, they will all take the same damage. More important is, that the focus fire on AA gives you 50% DPS-boost against that squad which enables you to shoot down one or two planes that are incoming.

    In fact I think that the Kongo has been forgotten, because according to the patch notes the hull without the tall superstructure should have decreased range as well. That applies to many IJN BBs as well... the Myogi has about 15km range with the second hull, but once you upgrade to the last one, your range will be over 18km.

    1. This is not real life... this is an arcade game losely based on historical or fictional ships. 2. The stock hull of the Fuso has reduced range. When upgrading the hull and range finder, you'll have your range back.

    For secondary weapons it just focuses fire on a single target when multiple are near. For AA you get a 50% DPS bonus to your AA ratings. So always focus AA fire.

    The game only plays animations and effects when they are in view... You can see that if you switch to zoom and then back, the waves and smoke from the smoke stacks are starting at that moment again. And yeah, it's strange but normal. It's the same with WoT already.

    Die Rümpfe ändern häufig bei Rumpfupgrades die Farbe. Die Wyoming ist z.B. mit dem Starrumpf grau und mit dem letzten Rumpf blau.

    Actually I think that fighters can only engage one squad at a time. You can see that if you persue a bomber squad with your fighters and other fighters intercept your own, you will shoot down bombers but not enemy fighters.

    If you pay attention to your own salvos you will see, that they spread very differently. Sometimes the shells go to all directions and sometimes they fly all nice and true. Just RNG.

    Well the US DDs are perfect anti-DD ships... it's all about the target you choose... you may have problems fighting a tank with a pistol, but a canon is no use against sparrows. The guns of US DDs are perfect for close combat against other DDs and can even harrass other cruisers. Of course you can't expect to scare a BB, but later DDs in the US techtree have enough torpedo range to make good use of them against larger targets.
  21. Almost everything is influenced by RNG, so you cannot be sure with anything, but you can increase your chances. As you already know it's all about penetrating and that can be quite difficult. First of all the citadel usually is the best armored part of a ship (for good reason). Second there are many things that can influence the chance of penetration. You should not underestimate the importance of your range if fire. The thing is, that you must get the best angle for penetration, but to do that, you must try to either shoot at very close range at the armored belt and hope to penetrate it, or you must shoot at the maximum range and hope for the shells, that impact from above, to penetrate the weak armored decks and detonate inside the ship. Most of the time you fight at medium ranges which means that the shells come at an angle that is too flat to penetrate the deck and too steep to penetrate the belt. If the enemy is angled as well, you'll have hard time hitting anything. But even if you don't land a citadel hit, AP round can inflict serious damage when penetrating. When I first started WoWS is listened to the HE-lovers and yeah, it can be satisfying to light up the enemy and destroy his guns... but from my experience, well aimed AP shells deal way more damage than HE to anything except DDs. THe chance of citadel or ammo hits come on top of that. I usually use AP on cruisers as well against other cruisers and weak armored BBs.

    Afaik it's the same system and it takes the whole squad into consideration. So if you have squad A with 4 planes, each with X DPS and Y health and another one with 5 planes, each with A DPS and B health it would only count 4*X DPS vs. 5*B health and 5*A DPS vs. 4*Y health. And once the squad health falls below the health of the squad size - 1 plane hitpoints one plane is shot down... all animations are just pure fake. And yeah, bombers can defend themselves if they have rear gunners... but it's not very effective.

    Since disperion is a fixed value of the guns, I guess it applies to any range (except for a small buff for shooting at <5km distance). So basically it doesn't matter how far away the target is... but since the same dispersion at close range means a far greater offset from the target, it just seem that shots go crazy as close quarters.
