That would be a nice addition for sure and one I have proposed many a times. Also, calling mogami a treaty cruiser is like calling a seriously obese woman (or man, for that fact) curvy. -

Overcharge that engine dude. Maybe even lure him to your BB fire so he can get deleted. And most importantly: you see DM first and he does not see you. At that point it is pretty clear you must GTFO and find other, more prosperous hunting grounds. Also, If you got no Cruiser support aswell you did screw up. -

As it stands she needs some more buffs along with the other tier 8 cruisers. The continuous string of nerfs wrecked her. Other classes see significant jumps in effectiveness from tier 7 to 8. Cruisers do not. Not cool when they meet a Yamato or a Zao. -
Sorry. Bottom line is, If a cruiser can set your BB on fire SEVERAL TIMES. Either you or your team have done something wrong to allow that cruiser so much firing freedom.

Maybe we should pop out that graph about how much fire damage does to battleships again... Answer is, Not that much actually. The main source of damage that BBs take is AP, by a LARGE margin.

Torp Acceleration on an USN DD will mean I have to give up on my Vigilance, which will put me at a severe danger when I do what I do best: Taking the map control from other DDs by gunning them down at really close ranges. Especially now that the Japs pack the F3 that can seriously screw you over. The only reason I would take TA over Vigilance is if I wanted to play a Gearing in a Torpedo-boat style. Which is honestly not what the Gearing is for (sacrificing your biggest trump card in order to play torpedo-boat style) . Rather take the 12km torp-loaded Shima with 5 more torps.

If a CV focuses its attention on to you at these tiers, if you are not AA specced USN BB or a CA with decent AA, your game is bound to be ruined anyways. -
The WW2 refit of Kako, compared ingame to Aoba, would have slower RoF, with 15sec reload (same as furutaka) compared to Aoba's excellent 10sec Also the Kako will have less Range on her guns and Less HP that the Aoba for balance reasons. Thus I think it would warrant a being a tier lower than Aoba, as is it is not "just annother Aoba". Same how Molotov is not "Just annother Kirov a tier higher" And dont even make me speak about the Gnevny/Gremiyashiy/Anshan clusterfeck

So, The Omaha has the Marblehead and Murmansk. The Kirov has (or will have Molotov) And the furutaka has no buddy (admitedly the Konigsberg and Nurnberg need one aswell)? the IJN, as far as i'm concerned, lacks tier 5 premiums apart from the numerous Kamikaze-clones. Thus, we get in the Kako, which also has a render done by WG: Of course, that might aswell be an alternative Furutaka C hull. But I struggle to find any other ship ingame that changes that much with hull upgrades. Even the Japanese battleships dont change their turret layouts, Bar the Fuso which has its turret #3 turned to the other side. So, if it is indeed not a Furu C hull (which would also be awesome, but I wouldnt mind an IJN tier 5 crew trainer) the IJN Kako will differ from the furutaka in some ways: The positive: -Better turret layout -Torpedo bulges adding protection against torpedoes. -Quadruple torpedo launchers instead of Triple The Negative: -A bit slower and more sluggish, due to torpedo bulges and added weight. -Torpedo arcs should be a bit worse, mimicking the later tier IJN cruisers. Compared to Aoba: -Slower reload -Slower turret turn ratio -Less HP

You might be true but that is a bit of an exaggeration. Please get to see my first post on that thread. After which several people told me "lol you elitist swine stop flailing your stats in people's faces ugh"...

That is only true if you are staying back. Some ships can abuse the cyclone and catch others unawares dealing good burst damage.

Fletcher has better torps than Gearing IMO.

Then Either one of the two will be true: A/ By his experience, he is clearly contradicting himself. B/ He is doing the good ole BS. The last thing that stats don't account for is that the person can have good stats and still be an idiot.

Hanging in the middle alone in your BB while you know the middle caps are both being capped by enemy destroyers would have ended in a disaster no matter the weather. Actually a clear weather might have been even worse for you since the DDs could have seen you from a further distance, meanwhile in a storm you have some chance of surprising them instead.

Yeah, but if you say an objectively stupid argument, like, I believe Battleships are Underpowered, while in fact they are objectively NOT, AND have bad stats to boot, then nobody is forced to take your argument seriously. And more skilled players can come in and say "No, you are wrong, I know more than you about the game and here are my stats to back it up" but at that point jealous people (or just ones that have nothing better to do) will also come and say "Boo stop flinging your stats in people's faces all the time boo"

Sadly they cannot retrain captains as they are not premium ships. Which is one of the most important feature of a premium.

First to say, Im one that hates peeping at WRs to prove a point. But when, at once, SEVERAL people with 46-48% winrate come to whine on the forums that the BB class is underpowered, while it clearly is not (its a fact) , it buggs me the hell out. That's it. I am not going to waste my breath arguing with honestly insane posts, nor am I going to try to teach those people how to play. There are enough guides already. And you have to agree, a person who knows about the game and it's mechanics should be able to average at least 50%, even if he is technically bad at playing the game due to lack of coordination or whatnot, theoretical knowledge would carry him. Therefore, I conclude, that the OP lacks theoretical knowledge, so having any weight while discussing class balance is out of the window and cannot be taken seriously. Especially if his point is to basically say BBs are UP in the wake of y a nerf that made Shimakazes unable to do what they did last patch. And that is 20km torp spams by 5 shimakazes on the same team. Therefore, without even saying: "Durr I have 69% 1337 Winrate and im so much better than you", I will dismiss this thread as either uneducated musings of a bad player who has not yet learned game mechanics, or trolling. I'm out.
