And what if other cruisers AP you and then you have to angle in order to avoid being Citadelled by the cruiser but then you expose broadside to a BB, so then you need to angle but then you get attacked by planes so you have to angle from that as well but then you spot DD torps so you have to angle too, all the while a DD is spotting you from beyond Radar range and oh ...you get it dont you?

In other news, BB players whining against everything non-BB. They nerfed carriers to the ground. They nerfed IJN DDs to the ground. Now its time for fires.

Both ships have 4 guns facing front, so if you are in a game that enemy BBs know what to do, its the same, except that Gneisenau reloads faster..... uhm??? Also... Gneisenau is: -Faster. -Better armored -20% better reload. -Better AA -Smaller target -Has torps -Leads to bloody bismarck. And your only argument to say that it sucks is to say that it has 1 less turret? pfft. Sure, Gneisenau is not as good as Nagato at long distance fighting, but thats not what the gneisenau is about.

The arcs on the creenshots look really good. Give them low concealment, fast rudder shift and very small turning circle (they seem kinda stubby, not the long sleek ship type) And some nice torps and they will be hot.

Here I am trying to talk about something. Its the tier 8 cruisers. Something bugs me about them. They seem like the biggest crapever. While other classes' tier 8s are huge improvements over their tier 7's (NCal from Colorado, Amagi from Nagato, Benson from Mahan, the carriers, etc....) The tier 8 cruisers are literally no different from tier 7s (even the range is the same,), bar some non-important tweaks. And this does not cut it when you start facing tier 9s or even 10s (who can shoot you to bits even before you get in range) . Keep in mind, Im not talking about the tier 8 PREMIUM cruisers. They have some tricks up their sleeve that make them be able to survive better against the tier 8-10 onslaught. Kutuzov's range and smoke, Atago's heals...that sort of stuff. But tier 8 normal cruisers just get obliterated by everything. Battleships can delete them outright, a carrier can kill them no problem, They have to watch out to not get damaged by other cruisers as well, since they have no repairs, They even have to watch out for enemy DDs because they are too stealthy to get close to them without being killed by one of the other classes. Here I am not sure about the Chepayev, but I assume the problem with it is not so severe, since the line is newer and, well, russian. The only decent cruiser at the tier, the Mogami, got nerfed, and then got wrecked with nerfs once more, without any compensation to it. (meanwhile the barely released Kutuzov got a huge compensation for that change of game mechanics) So, is it only me that has this problem? How do you play your tier 8 cruisers?

Leave it up to the brits to make ships that look like crap... Still, excited to see what they'd do with them.

That would be a good start. They gave the heal for Atago because she was having problems surviving. How are normal ships any different? Or premium ship players are entitled to more than a player who has grinded to tier 8 fair and square?

Moskva has better stats than zao but nobody bats an eye 'bout that. Probably because russian fleet superiority is taken for granted, while a good ship from some backwater fleet is a big deal.

Fair enough but a cruiser really cant be a game-changer as a tier 8 CV, BB or a DD can be. Makes you feel kinda obsolete.

I don't think Jingles of all people has the authority to call any ship good or bad. I mean hes a funny chap all round but come on, nothing special as a player.

OP is damn right. The CV Interface is crap and unplayable. And most importantly, not fun to use. That is way below Lesta's level, That Lesto who years ago made the Ententete, a good RTS.

Not really. Make her nimble, with flat arcs, and her 8-gun frontal firepower will do wonders.

Tier 9 can be the 3x3 layout of the Alsace, while the tier 10 could be the 3x4 Alsace. All in all very akin to the tier 9 and 10 american ships. Basically a soft battleship that has a nice broadside and flat arcs. Worse than montana/iowa against BBs but better vs cruisers.

To all people who are looking at the german BBs and wondering: Yo, thats not very survivable at all, is it? I do have a question. Do they have infoes on the Repair and Heal modules, I mean cooldowns, number of charges, time for the effect of the repair module for example (like Americans got 20sec repair duration but japs have only 15, maybe the Germans could have 30 seconds?) Also a few other subjective opinions: -Gneisenau is fine with 380s as stock. Leave the historical setup for the premium. Having 280s on the normal ship as well would invalidate the premium ship. -Groser Kurfurst looks titanic, 88k HP only is a joke for it. But by the looks of it its bow armor is 45mm so no Yamato lol-pens and it probably has quite tough turtle deck so it will be impossible to citadel if angled.
